    Go Spurs Go!!! (NBA 2K8)

    Introduction

Okay, I finally got my Xbox 360 back after what seemed like forever. It is nice to finally have back, so I can finally begin this and start a MLB 2K8 franchise soon. So, I am restarting my other thread, which can be found here. The reason I am restarting it is that I have not played in a while and want the updated rosters with the Damon Stoudamire signing, as well as the Kurt Thomas trade, as well as other trades in the league (Gasol, Kidd, Shaq, ect.). This way, I will feel more integrated with the team.

    The Settings

Difficulty Level: Undecided (Will edit once decided)
    Sliders: Undecided
    Quarter Length: 12 Minutes (Realistic!)
    Season Length: 82 Games
    Playoff Setup: 7-7-7-7
House Rules: None, other than do not abuse the AI and try to mix up shots and not go all in with one guy.

    Reports

They will probably closely resemble my College Hoops reports in that there will be a write-up, player stats, ect. with maybe a little more focus on players and opposing players since this is the NBA and we are all more familiar with the players. Of course, the reports are bound to change at times I see fit or time restraints cause them to change.

Thank you for your time. I did not want to continue my other thread because there has been too many trades in the past few months and since I was not really very far into my season, anyways.

Thanks. It's nice to have it back. Actually, Microsoft sent to me what looks like a brand new 360 as I had to install the online updates and stuff again. This is good, because the newer 360s are supposed to be more durable and dependable, which is good considering this is my 4th 360.

I must have got my baseball and NBA mixed up, LOL! 162 games for baseball, 82 games for the NBA. I guess I took the "1" from 162 and put "82" behind it to make 182, haha.

Thanks for catching that. Now it is fixed!

                    October 30th, 2007
                    Game 1 of 82
Portland Trailblazer (0-0) @ San Antonio Spurs (0-0)

                    San Antonio, TX -
It was opening night for the 2007 World Champion San Antonio Spurs. The 2007 Championship Banner was raised prior to the game and the players on the Spurs team last year received their NBA Finals rings. Guys like NBA Finals 2007 MVP Tony Parker and 3 time Finals MVP Tim Duncan added to their collection of rings. Tim Duncan now has 4 while Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Bruce Bowen among others received their 3rd NBA Finals rings. Spurs owner Peter Holt got his ring and made a speech and the game begun.

Unfortunately for the Spurs, the game was not quite so good to them. The Spurs would fight neck and neck with the Trailblazers early in the game as the Blazers were up 24-23 after the 1st quarter. Unfortunately, a 27-14 2nd quarter for the Blazer got the game out of hand as the Spurs never fully got back in the game. The Spurs made a few runs, once cutting the margin to 6 points, but never got any closer as the Spurs fell to the Portland Trailblazers 110-100 on opening night in the NBA.

Portland had 3 players in double-figures in scoring tonight. Portland's Martell Webster had a great game scoring 30 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Brandon Roy scored 23 points and dished out 7 assists to his teammates. Backup point guard Steve Blake scored 13 for the Blazers and recorded 4 assists as well.

Tony Parker led the way for the Spurs with 21 points and 9 assists, the first game since winning his NBA Finals MVP Trophy and marrying Eva Longoria this summer in Paris, France. Michael Finley chipped in 16 points while Tim Duncan got 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

                    Code:
                                 1st 2nd 3rd 4th OT Final
                    Trailblazers 24 27 28 31 -- 110
                    Spurs 23 14 35 28 -- 100

                                    Blazers Spurs

Yes, it was. I am trying some pretty hard sliders for this one, maybe too hard, but as I adjust to the game I should get better.

Thanks! It is very nice to have my 360 back. I missed playing this, Dirt, Forza 2, and Call of Duty 4.

I recommend that you pick up Call of Duty 4 because I think it is the best FPS on the 360 and it is a blast to play online. Too bad it freezes when I play online.
