Thanks to Psyblast for the Stat Sheet coding!

A pretty good game for the Owls. I kept the 2-3 zone as tough as I could until Lofton and Smith started hitting three's, and then had to switch to a combination of 2-3 Match-Up and Man to Man. This ended up being where Tennessee really began to take over. Between Chism's big body inside and the outside game of all of the Volunteer guards, I had no chance. I will say that Christmas and Tyndale had very good games, but when either one of them goes out the team is very tough to keep a good offensive flow with. I also like Guzman coming off the bench due to Chris Clark's quickness.

Next game: November 15th , Palm Tree Shootout vs. Providence

As bad as the score looks, is wasn't anywhere near a blowout until about 10:00 left in the game. McKenzie just blew up from outside, as well as Xavier. I am hoping that upping the defensive pressure (it's set at 60 right now and the 2-3 zone is allowing a ton of open 3 point looks) will tighten up what has been an awful defense the opening two games of the season. I have added the 1-3-1 zone defense to my playbook as it is a personal touch of mine to bring to the team. I am also going to tweak Reaching Fouls down in the 65-70 area, because at least half of my foul shots were due to reach in fouls, and I was in the double bonus before the 10:00 mark of the second half.

Oh, and Lavoy Allen is going to be an abolute STUD for me...soon.

Next game: Palm Tree Shootout, Loser's Bracket, vs. College Of Charleston (0-2)

Looks good Mill! If you don't mind me asking, where could I find that table that you have with the game stats? The one that I've been using for my legacy was a modified version of an NBA table that I got from dynasty manager.

Well after having another frustrating half of basketball with Temple, something finally clicked at halftime. After watching some more Temple basketball this afternoon, I switched my defense on a hunch. I went from the standard 2-3 zone to the 2-3 match-up zone. Needless to say, it worked. The ironic thing is the match-up zone played out a lot more like the Temple zone in real life, with many more defensive options and switches.

I told you Lavoy was going to be a stud. So, it's only one game. But the kid can flat out work under the glass, and hustles on the break. If I can complement Christmas and Tyndale with a presence like Allen, I will be set for pretty good year. I LOVE having Ryan Brooks coming off the bench, and have gone with Tyndale at PF, Christmas at swing, and Brooks at off guard quite a few times already this year. It is definitely going to become an often sight against smaller teams.

I have another issue brewing. Semaj Inge played the perfect point guard for this team tonight. He didn't have the speed of Chris Clark, or the shooting of Luis Guzman. But he controlled the pace and flow of the game. He had no turnovers, which is something I tend to get in bunches with the semi-hyper Clark. Starting position fight on our hands? Quite possibly.
