Marino's Youth Movement Process (MLB 08 the show PS3)

Im beginning my Dodgers franchise after fixing all the rosters for yall.

I will be using the L A Dodgers of course.

Playing on HOF default sliders with the only exception being the pitch count increased to full.

    Hope yall will follow.

A new year is upon us folks and what better way to bring in the year than with some good old Dodger baseball.

Grab a seat and a Dodger dog and enjoy the ride.

    Location: Dodger Stadium

this will be the Dodgers 50th year since the move from Brooklyn and hope to make it a good one. A loot of promise is seen in this team who has a good mix of youth and veterans and a formidable pitching staff that could take them far.

Could this be the year for the LA Dodgers?

        Manager: Joe Torre

Coming from New York, can the same magic continue for LA?

        Pitching Rotation:
        1. Brad Penny
        2. Derek Lowe
        3. Chad Billingsley
        4. Hiroki Kuroda
        5. Esteban Loaiza

Can this pitching staff be as good as advertised?
How will new comer Hiroki Kuroda perform in America?
Will Jason Schmidt ever be healthy?

        Bullpen:

        LRP- Chan Ho Park
        MRP- Joe Beimel
        MRP- Scott Proctor
        MRP- Ramon Troncoso
        SU- Jonathan Broxton
        CL- Takashi Saito

Will Saito have another excellent year?

        Lineup:
        1. Rafael Furcal (SS)
        2. Andre Either (LF)
        3. Matt Kemp (RF)
        4. Jeff Kent (2B)
        5. Andruw Jones (CF)
        6. Russell Martin (C)
        7. James Loney (1B)
        8. Blake DeWitt (3B)
        9. Pitcher

        Bench:
        1B- Mark Sweeney
        SS- Chin Lung Hu
        C- Gary Bennett
        SS- Ramon Martinez
        LF- Juan Pierre
        RF- Delwyn Young

        How will the lineup do?
Will there be power now with Andruw Jones in the lineup?

Opening Day right around the corner!!!

The team doesn't look that bad although at least one of the bigger names is on the DL.

The only problem may be Andruw Jones. In real life, I think that he is eating himselp out of baseball.

How are you going to handle Garciaparra's return? Will he start right away or will he ride the pine for a while?

right now im going to have nomar in the minors but i will call him up after 2-3 weeks and im not sure if he will be in the starting lineup yet. all depends on how DeWitt plays. DeWitt had a solid first game.

Opening Day coming up in an hour! or so

                OPENING DAY!!!

DODGERS PULL AWAY LATE TO GUARENTEE OPENING DAY WIN FOR TORRE.

It was a beautiful day as LA opened their season against their dreaded rivals SF. Things did not start out good for LA when in the top of the second Rafael Furcal's throwing error allowed Ray Durham to get on base. Durham then stole a base and was doubled in by Aaron Rowand. But in the bottom of the second Russell Martin came up and hit a game tying HR and after 2 innings the score was tied at one. A great pitching matchup pursued as Brad Penny and Barry Zito dueled it out. Then in the 6th Furcal hit a one out double and followed up by Andre Either with the go ahead RBI double. Both pitchers went one more inning then in the bottom of the eight Dodgers struck for 3 runs off of Valdez who replaced Zito. Saito came in and closed the game old and the Los Angeles Dodgers were winners. Brad Penny won player of the game honors and when asked about how the team performed he said, "I was impressed at how we battled back. I was struggling with my spots in the beginning of the game but the team backed me up. Always good to get that first win." Dodgers return tomorrow night to continue the 3 game series against the Giants asn Derek Lowe will take on Matt Cain.

                Boxscore will follow

Loney's bomb brings Dodgers back against the Giants.

                          Dodgers (1-0)

                          Matt Cain (0-0)

It was another crisp night in LA as the Giants and Dodgers continued their rivalry. Both pitchers pitched amazingly as the first 5 innings were scoreless. Then in the 6th, Brian Bocock came up with a lead off triple and then came around to score due to a throwing error by Blake DeWitt. Dodgers were quick to respond as Russell Martin gets another RBI to tie the game back up. Then in the eight, the Giants Fred Lewis pinch hit and got a single. Then pinch runner Rajii Davis came out and stole a base then scored on the next play from a Dan Ortmeier double. Dodgers were staring a loss in the face when leadoff hitter Jeff Kent lead off with a double. Then James Loney came up and hit a 2 run homer just past the outstretched arm of Randy Winn. Takashi Saito came in and had a flawless 9th recording 2 strikeouts and getting Benjie Molina to pop out to win the game.

Martin and company take care of SF and Dodgers complete sweep.

                            Dodgers (2-0)

                            Tim Lincecum (0-0)

The Giants came out of the gate on all cylinders as they put 2 up in the first inning off of a Benjie Molina HR. Dodgers battled back and the score was 2-2 after 2. Score remained the same until in the 4th when James Loney came up and hit his second HR of the year. Russell Martin followed by hitting a 2 run homer in the 5th, his second of the year as well. Dodgers also posted 2 in the 6th and 1 in the 8th. Dodgers start the season of great and now have an off day before traveling to San Diego to take on the Padres.
