Kuroda's debut leads to a 3 hit shutout!

      Dodgers (3-0)

      Padres (1-3)

      Pitching Matchup:
      Hiroki Kuroda (0-0)

      Justin Germano (0-0)

      Review:
It was the long awaited debut for Dodger pitcher Hiroki Kuroda. But before he came on the mound he already was supplied with run support when Rafael Furcal led off the game with a homer. When Kuroda came on the mound it was all business. Constantly having batters off balanced forcing many groundballs and also had 5 strike outs. In the 9th he easily got the first two outs but then gave up a triple to Tad Iguchi. But then got Adrian Gonzalez to ground out like so many others to finish the game. The Dodgers are riding a 4 game winning streak and have a tough challenge against Cy Young award winner Jake Peavy in tomorrows game.

      Dodgers Stats
      Furcal 3-5 HR 2RBI

      Kemp 1-4
      Kent 1-4
      Jones 1-3
      Martin 0-4
      Loney 3-4 2B
      DeWitt 0-4

      WP: Hiroki Kuroda (1-0)
      LP: Justin Germano (0-1)

Kuroda is a given, dude is a beast. Furcal also, he actually is the best overall talent on the Dodgers.

Very cool, nice start to the season for you guys - any trades in the works?

I need to start my real franchise next week, not sure if I can make a franchise story like you guys.

Ex Braves stifle Peavy as Dodgers win 5th straight.

                            Dodgers (4-0)

                            Padres (1-4)

                            Pitching Matchup:

                            Esteban Loaiza (0-0)
                            Jake Peavy (0-1)

                            Writeup:

Dodgers have been rolling to start the season off and their offense continued in the first inning today off of Jake Peavy. Peavy walked a batter than hit another and in stepped Andruw. 1-2 pitch Peavy leaves a fastball about belt high and Jones preceded to take it out. Dodgers jumped out to a 3-0 lead but it did not last as in the 4th inning Loaiza gave up a 3 run shot to Josh Bard. The game did not stay tied for long as Blake Dewitt scored off of a Rafael Furcal triple. Dodgers added another in the eight and Saito came in for the save. Dodgers end the series tomorrow with a pitching matchup that has Brad Penny vs Chris Young.

The Dodgers came in riding a nice 5 game winning streak and looked to try and make it 6 against the Padres. Dodgers got on the board early with a couple of clutch hits by DeWitt, Either and Loney. But the Padres came back with a big 5th. Score remained 3-3 until the 8th when the Dodgers can an RBI sac fly from James Loney. Everything seemed to be going okay until Jim Edmonds hit a game tying homer off of Takashi Saito. Then in the 10th Brian Giles scored on a game winning double by Callix Crabbe.
