From Tragedy.....The Story of the 2008 LSU Tigers...(360)

    INTRODUCTION

Following the tragic death of Les Miles during a recruiting trip in the dangerous Ozark Mountains, New AD Joe Alleva Hired Paul Bebe, former Live Oak High School football coach, to step in. Bebe went 40-9 at Live Oak picking up 2 State Titles along the way. "It's an Honor not only to be the LSU Head Football Coach, but to be Coaching after Les Miles-is an even greater honor."

Bebe has been compared to Miles because of his witty -and sometimes- season threatening playcalling. Bebe is a run-oreintated guy on Offense, but isn't afraid to attack the air. The most important things Bebe focused on at Live Oak: Being the hardest worker and finishing strong.

"At Live Oak, our 'battle cry' if you will was, 'It's not how you start, it's how you finish. Also, if your not willing to be the hardest worker, you have no place on my Team. Im a nice guy, but if you dn't show effort, you will see the evil side of me."

Coming into the 2008 season, the Tigers are stacked at Running Backs, with the only loss being that of stud Jacob Hester. But the major question marks lie at the QB position With Perriloux getting kicked off of the team, that leaves either Andrew Hatch or Jarett Lee that gets the start. Bebe has used the dual-QB system before, at his first year at Live Oak he did it, and took him to state.

On the flip side of the ball, LSU is stacked, with stars as , Ricky Jean-Francois (Jah-Franshaw),and Chad Jones all at LB, Taylor and Jai Eugene leading the Secondary, and Marlon Favorite, Tyson Jackson, and Darry Beckwith anchoring the hogs.

                    SURVING THE DOGS DAYS
                    2009 Schedule
AFTER LSU's victory over Texas to win the BCS crown, and recruitng be over with, well, for now, there is nothing to tide us over the long, hard, hot, dog days of summer untill July 15-the release date for NCAA 11. It is in this frame of time people actually resort to watching Training camp coverage and obsess about who's holding out for more money and who doesn't like their job. Well, there will be none of this today for folks in Louisiana; the defending National Champs released their 2010 football Schedule.

                    Wk 2-at Southern Miss
                    Wk 3-vs Oregon
                    Wk 4-vs Georgia*'
                    Wk 5-vs Mississippi State*
                    Wk 7-at Florida*'
                    Wk 8-at South Carolina*
                    Wk 9-at Auburn*^'
                    Wk 11-vs Ole Miss*^
                    Wk 12-vs Tulane^
                    Wk 13-vs Alabama*^
                    Wk 14-at Arkansas*^

                    * SEC Game
                    ^ Rivalry Game
                    ' Key Game

The First two games of the year are the last part of the dual Home and Home deals started last year.

To Win- In order to win consantly LSU needs to establish a whole new offence. With the loss of Scott and Holliday, aka The Butchers, it will be up to Junior Hickman to carry the load. Hickman previously only came up in mop-up situations the past year. The Receiving core is led by the returning Mitchell, who is the one of the 4 Seniors on the O. Tyrone Freund, a 5* gem looks to make a huge splash in the SEC. The Tigers should be vulnerablre while looking for their nich in the first few games.

To win the SEC West- Beating AU and Alabama should pretty much lock up the Western crown.

To win the SEC- It would be nice to steal a win from UGA or UF- the two picks for East champion

To get to the BCS- no more than 2 losses. Which is easier said than done in the SEC.

                    Untill next time,
