INTRODUCTION
Following the tragic death of Les Miles during a recruiting trip in the dangerous Ozark Mountains, New AD Joe Alleva Hired Paul Bebe, former Live Oak High School football coach, to step in. Bebe went 40-9 at Live Oak picking up 2 State Titles along the way. "It's an Honor not only to be the LSU Head Football Coach, but to be Coaching after Les Miles-is an even greater honor."
Bebe has been compared to Miles because of his witty -and sometimes- season threatening playcalling. Bebe is a run-oreintated guy on Offense, but isn't afraid to attack the air. The most important things Bebe focused on at Live Oak: Being the hardest worker and finishing strong.
"At Live Oak, our 'battle cry' if you will was, 'It's not how you start, it's how you finish. Also, if your not willing to be the hardest worker, you have no place on my Team. Im a nice guy, but if you dn't show effort, you will see the evil side of me."
Coming into the 2008 season, the Tigers are stacked at Running Backs, with the only loss being that of stud Jacob Hester. But the major question marks lie at the QB position With Perriloux getting kicked off of the team, that leaves either Andrew Hatch or Jarett Lee that gets the start. Bebe has used the dual-QB system before, at his first year at Live Oak he did it, and took him to state.
On the flip side of the ball, LSU is stacked, with stars as , Ricky Jean-Francois (Jah-Franshaw),and Chad Jones all at LB, Taylor and Jai Eugene leading the Secondary, and Marlon Favorite, Tyson Jackson, and Darry Beckwith anchoring the hogs.
