    IT'S MAGIC
    Key Game Recap

BOTH Corso and Herbstreit picked LSU to come off victorious on the popular college football show, College Gameday. Corso stated when he donned Mike's headgear, however, that it would be," Close close close. LSU by thhhat much."

Damn you Corso. The 2007 season already took 5 years off of most Tiger fans life, and we don't need you adding to the burden hours before gametime.

The game began on a high note-a 59 yard LSU Drive-which chewed up most of the 1st Quarter, and cut down severly on the UGA D-line. That 1st drive had 15 plays- 13 running. It was capped off with a 3 yard Hickson run.

The 2nd began with UGA on D, and they went 3 and out. After LSU punished the UGA d-line for about 6 solid plays of up the gut running, Lee delivered a 34-yard bomb to Freund, who pulled it in stride for a touchdown. LSU 14, UGA 0. LSU's D pulled through again, dumbfounding the UGA O. Hickman led LSU for about 35 yards when Lee was hurried and unloaded it into coverage.

    Then things went downhill.

Lawrence took it 69 yards the opposite way, touchdown UGA.

Kickoff to LSU, first play from scrimmage, Interception. This time, the UGA O pulled through.

The Third started the way the 2 began with UGA blanking. But an LSU 3 and out fired up the Georgia Offence, and they took it the distance- 60 yards. LSU received the ball with 4:10 left, and thanks to UGA kicker Black, with the ball on their 8.

The reseilant Tigers pounded and pounded and ot worked UGA all the way down the the Georgia 9,and well into the 4th when Lee called for a play action pass which was lofted to the endzone, but UGA CB Wiley had a better angle on the ball and picked it off.

An 83 yard drive, with nothing to show for it execpt for wasted time-2:30 left, UGA ball on their 20. The LSU Defense wasn't about to quit, and stopped a 7 play drive that went only 11 yards cold after a timeout with :51 left. A nice punt put the ball at the LSU 30 with :45 left.

Lee had to take some shots. The first was broken up to King, leaving :38 showing. The Second was too long to Freund, 3rd down with 29 tics left. I don't know what was going through Lee's head but he loft an ill-advised bomb to King, who was caught up in double-coverage. King wxtended for the ball, which was thrown ahead, but enough to where he could come down with it. 1st down LSU, with 20 seconds remaining, on the UGA 31.

Lee threw away the next throw to avoid a sack. With 13 seconds left, Lee connected with white on a shocking post route. With the ball on the UGA 5 with 7 seconds left, Coach Bebe did the obvious thing-call timeout and give the ball to Hickland.

LSU, 21, UGA, 21, no time remaining.

Overtime was simple role reversal from the 1st Half- LSU getting enough done to advance the game-while UGA ripped apart the LSU D.

But in the 3rd Overtime, LSU scored on its first play-a PA pass from Lee to White.

LSU took this momentum and doubled it by running Hickland up the middle for 2.

    LSU 43, UGA 35.

UGA took command of the LSU D, scoring in 3 plays-all pass.

But they had to make the two. UGA QB Strickland took the snap from the gun took but too long getting rid of the ball-he didnt even see the LSU corner blitzing.

    LSU 43, UGA 41. Final.

    Untill next time,
