Late fumble dooms Wolfpack's upset bid.
"Late fumble as State ran out clock ends Wolfpack's chances"

      Clemson, SC-
North Carolina State has already had one upset in the state of South Carolina this season, and they were 15 seconds from another. A late fumble from Jamelle Eugene as the Wolfpack attempted to run the clock out was taken all the way back for a touchdown. "Its tough to take. We had them on the ropes but thats college football for you. Sometimes you will have control and sometimes you wont. We just have to go out there next game and bounce back", said coach O' Brien about the tough loss NC State had today.

It was amazing that NC State was even able to come back in the game. The first half was completely dominanted by the Clemson Tigers, who had a 14-6 lead at halftime. NC State really struggled to stop the duo of C.J. Spiller and James Davis.

Although he had a costly fumble, Jamelle Eugene had an excellent game.

NC State began its comeback in the 3rd when Jamelle Eugene broke off a big 40 yard touchdown run to bring the pack with a touchdown of the lead. Then a early field goal and a late TD pass gave State the lead. State's defense had 2 great holds on defense but then the fumble return happened and State did not have a chance to win.

C.J. Spiller racked up 52 yards rushing and 2 rushing touchdowns to earn player of the game honors. But if State would have won those honors would have gone to Jamelle Eugene. Eugene rushed for 147 yards and also had 25 receiving yards and a touchdown.

NC State will have to forget about this tough loss and begin preparing for East Carolina. "We just have to put this game behind us. We can not dwell on bad losses because they could be a cancer for later on if we do", said O'Brien.

How do you plan on using Clem Johnson? I was thinking he was being recruited as a FS, but he can certainly play RB or QB as well. If you get the opportunity, check out youtube for his highlights. He was a good option QB in HS. I used to live right behind the field at his HS...saw him play a few times.

NC State whoops ECU at home.
"Eugene has another big game leading State to victory."

                  Raleigh, NC-
North Carolina State fans had worried if the team would be able to respond after such a heart breaking lost and it did not take long for those questions to be answered. One of NCSU's biggest rivals were in town today and left felling sad and overwhelmed.

NCSU's defense was all over the field today, not allowing East Carolina to get anything going offensively. ECU was held without a point until a fluke 67 reception by Harris in the 4th quarter.

Jamelle Eugene diving into the endzone.

Jamelle Eugene once again had another big game on the ground for the Wolfpack. He carried the ball 40 times and rushed for 150 yards total and 2 touchdowns. He also had 4 catches for 65 yards as well showing the Pirates that he could really do anything against them.

Daniel Evans had a solid game although he looked shaky at times. He completed 14 of his 21 passes for 248 yards. He had 2 TD passes but also threw a pick.

NC State won this game running away 34-7 and now turn their sights to the University of South Florida. South Florida will be the 3rd ranked team NC State has played this season, as they are ranked #21.

The last time a team was ranked #21, NC State knocked them, that being South Carolina. Tickets are still available and make OS your home for all Wolfpack news and scores.

After much consideration, North Carolina State AD Kevin Rogers has decided to make a change not only in difficulty level but also in sliders.

NCSU will now play in the All-American difficulty using Jistic's most current sliders.

                      That is all.

                        Article by: Fonzi..."HEEEEEEY"

Raleigh, NC- North Carolina State has been rolling of recent. They are currently 3-1 at this point in the season and looking to make a fourth win today against South Florida. South Florida was ranked 21st in the nation but did not play as if they were in the first quarter. North Carolina State jumped out to a big 14-0 lead behind rushing touchdowns from Jamelle Eugene and Andre Brown.

South Florida was able to respond however and brought the game back to a 14-14 tie as we entered halftime. "It will always be tough to get wins, it doesn't matter who your opponent is", said O' Brien at halftime.

O'Brien really wanted to get the point across to the defense. They really struggled against the spread attack of South Florida. But when the 3rd quarter came around the defense really stepped up their defense. "It was a group effort out there. We knew they liked to go over the middle and do the QB draw play, so we just sat on those and made them have to get pass us", said senior linebacker Ray Michel. Michel had an outstanding game recording 12 tackles.

Eugene taking option play down sideline.

The Wolfpack managed to take a 24-14 lead into the 4th after a field goal and 10 yard touchdown pass from Daniel Evans to Andrew Evans(no relation). USF had many chances to score in the fourth but only managed to come across with 7 points. North Carolina State ran out the clock and with 15 seconds left in the ball game, got into the endzone once again.

This is the Wolfpack's second victory over a ranked opponent. Next week the Boston College Eagles make the trip down to Raleigh. Tickets are still available.

You know, actually I prefer the old layout over the photoshop one. I just tend to like the text ones more than photoshop but if your sticking with the photoshop then I'd put the score towards to top of the screen and make it bigger, add a background color instead of just leaving the middle white, and making more room for stats.
