Tigers Shock the Baseball World


Detroit, MI - Out of nowhere the Tigers made an interesting free agent signing just three days into the season. They went out and signed Barry Bonds to what is reported a massive contract. No one thought that Bonds was going to get signed this year, so it was a shock to everyone in baseball, from the executives to the fans.

Reports say that the Tigers could be paying Bonds over $15 million to play for them this season. It's uncertain where he will be playing since they have Sheffield as well, but rumors say that Bonds wants to play in the outfield and for that kind of money they better make him do something other than just hit. Detroit is currently 2-0 and leading the division, so we'll see how much this pays off for them when the season is over.
