How long do you plan on staying at George Washington? Do you have a certain conference or team you hope to move to next?

Good luck with your recruiting those would be some sweet players to land at G.W.
Thanks! I really enjoy this way as well. I am kind of frustrated that my team is so talented already, next year we could be championship contenders, and I didn't plan for it to go so fast. I might move down to a mid major, then maybe even a small, I kind of want to conquer the for types of conferences. But thats looking into a crystal ball, my first goal is to finish this season . This is a really good way to do it, and I suggest you make one, but don't use teams like Xavier or Memphis, because they can already land 5 stars.

Another Late Inbound Turnover Kills Colonials, lose 73-72
Are they ever going to learn? But let me back track. The Colonials are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the nation, and yet up by one with 37.4 seconds left were the Gators and they got a rebound. Instead of choosing to foul coach Pfeffuh made an extremely contreversial decision to play it until the end of the shot clock. That's exactly what they did, when the clock got to two, Gators SG Mading Ingerson went up for a contested three, only to be blocked by Trent Morgan, who dropped 13 of his 16 points in the second half. Drew Finn dove across the floor and got the ball, but it beared no matter, because the shot clock expired. The Colonials tried to rush the ball up the court, and in doing so, they gave the ball right back to the young Gators, and the game slipped right from their hands. "It was disappointing," agreed teammates Drew Finn and D.C. Siembrandt, 12 and 13 respectively. Russell Snow had 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Boston College too hot too handle for George Washington, lose 71-59
Boston College, at 9-2 coming into this game wasn't even nervous. "This team is just way over hyped," leading Eagle scorer Nevil Songcuacy told the media before the game. Whether its true or not, this game is a convincing argument. "We had a bad game. Morgan missed a lot of shots, and I screwed up the substitution pattern. You can't say we are 'over hyped'," coach Bryan Pfeffuh responded, a classy way of saying **** off. George Washington continued to play balanced offense though, with Morgan having 14, Randle having 10 and 6 assists, Finn & Siembrandt having 10.

George Washington looks to snap their two game skid in three days in an away game at Fordham. "We aren't going to overlook them, but I think that its a winnable game. Hopefully we can bounce back," Pfeffuh told the press

Freshman Ernie Brown pulls game away for Colonials, win 79-68
"This game was way too close for way too long," coach Bryan Pfeffuh told reporters after the game. With seven minutes the Colonials were struggling to find more scoring options then Trent Morgan, who scored 24, and Drew Finn, who dropped 21. Then in came scoreless freshman Ernest Brown came into the game. "Coach said to me as I went in, 'go make something happen,' I just tried to follow his orders," he said. And he did a damn good job of following through the orders, scoring 13 points in 6 minutes not missing a single shot. Coach Pfeffuh pulled him out with two minutes left though to get their scrubs some playing time, and even they played great thanks to the energy Brown provided.

George Washington goes to 17th in the nation St. Joe's next, then flies out to 8-7 Dayton, and then out to Kansas State, Duquense and Temple, before finally coming home to play their conference home opener against Xavier. "Its a tough trip," coach Pfeffuh said, "We hope to come out no worse than one loss."

Landslide continues, St. Joe's beats George Washington 64-54
The Colonials offense has struggled throughout this 1-3 streak, and today coach Pfeffuh pin-pointed why that was. "We aren't playing with the intensity on offense. Morgan is settling for too many threes instead of his old slasher first mentality, the offense isn't running through our talented bigs any more," he told reporters. Trent Morgan was settling for long threes all game, to verify what coach stated, scoring 7 points, with only two lay-ups on ten shots.

The Colonials go to Dayton on Sunday, and try to get back to their old ways offensively. "Their a tough team, but I think that we should beat them pretty good. This team is fired up and needs to take the anger of losing out somewhere, and unfortunately for Dayton, they are up next," Trent Morgan said.

George Washington rolls over Flyers, 82-76
Not exactly the bounce back the Colonials were hoping for, but they will take the win. Offensively, the team prospered, led by standout sophomore Trent Morgan, who put up 20 points. Joaquim Randle got his career high against Dayton, scoring 16 points, as well as grabbing 4 steals. "I hustled on defense, and made my shots on offense. Hopefully I can continue that trend," The Jr. SG-turned-PG told the media today. D.C. Siembrandt continued to make huge contributions off the bench, scoring 11 points. "I think he's really productive off the bench, and I don't think that anything should be touched," Drew Finn said with a smile on D.C.'s game, but the two are best friends, and D.C said of the comments "No harm, no foul." Kansas State is the next challenge the Colonials, then they come home for a three game stretch against Duquense, Xavier, and Richmond.

I made a mistake in a previous thread, we played St. Joe's at home as well.

In other school news, RPI's came out this weekend, and the Colonials were siked to see their school represented with a very respectable number 21. "All those tough games really pay off," Coach Pfeffuh lectured his team, "Now let's go win another one on Wednesday!

Back-ups blow big lead, Colonials win 77-69
"We have a lot of work to do with that lineup," coach Bryan Pfeffuh told the press after a quality win against Kansas State. However, he was referring to the line-up of Ernest Brown, John-Michael Montegomery, D.C. Siembrandt (who scored 9 points in the game), Rex Arnold, and Aly Clarke. Despite coming in at the 7 minute remaining mark with a 24 point lead, they managed to let it slip to ten before the starters returned 5 minutes later. Thankfully, Trent Morgan, 19 points, and Drew Finn 18 were on their game. Russell Snow put up a career high 14 points with 6 rebounds, and Schafer Alexander grabbed 11 more rebounds. "We really gelled well out their, as a starting line-up, and even when it wasn't a full starting line-up. I think that they just rallied off of the emotion of their crowd," said Joaquim Randle, who only had 5 points in 12 minutes, due to 3 quick fouls.

The next game for the 11-4 Colonials at home as they square off against 13-4 Duquense team. "This could be a key game for us, if we want to win the conference championship, so we are going to win it. I guarentee it," Drew Finn boldly bragged.

Duquense is only an 80 overall, so as tough as a game it looks on paper, we really should be fine.

Randle's best game of the season fuels team to win 84-59
Joaquim Randle has had a quiet season so far. He hasn't been a threat, just a good, young play-maker who averaged only 3.1 assists. He just fit with the line-up. Why the change to a dynamic scorer? "This season was a new role for me. I wasn't used to playing the point, and their is one big adjustment. If you are the PG, you make plays for other people, if your a SG its the other way around. I kept waiting for someone to make a play for me. But I finally realized if I want to score, I have to create it," The 6'5 guard said, after a career high 23 point performance, to go along with 9-10 shooting (4-4 from 3). Russell Snow also had a fantastic shooting night, 6-7 for 12 points. "I think he finally realized that if you have 5" on your guy, you have an advantage," joked the Colonials coach. The Colonials saw good games all over the court, Trent Morgan scoring 18 despite a rough outside night, and Drew Finn scoring 12 points, all in the first half. Snow and Alexander combined for 15 rebounds, and Aly Clarke added 5. Siembrandt came off the bench for 9 points.

The Colonials will take on the Owls of Temple next game, who are a under-achieving 8-10. "Don't count them out," coach Pfeffuh warned, staring blaytonly in the eyes of Drew Finn who guarenteed a win the night before. He smiled and mouthed to the camera "guarentee".

George Washington rolls over 95-73, record stands at 13-4
"We finally are clicking," coach Pfeffuh told the press and his team simultaneously in the locker room after the game. His team really put it on Temple, with Trent Morgan and Schafer Alexander each added 23 points, each shooting lights out from the field, with Morgan shooting 8-13, and Alexander playing phenomenal 9-9, 4-4 from three. "That was the best game he ever had. I know coach had told me to be ready to start over him because of my rebounding, but I doubt it after that," Aly Clarke told the press. Russell Snow had another good game, as he has been improving rapidly since the start of conference play. "He has turned the corner, and I hope the NBA doesn't come a'callin'," said the athletic director of the 7'1 freshman loaded with potential. Drew Finn had 11 and his back-up scored 12, his back-up being D.C. Siembrandt. "They both want this spot," coach Pfeffuh said when asked who would be the starter of the future.

Coach Pfeffuh's recruiting corner: "Nothing really changed, this is an intense battle."

Xavier gives George Washington a late game scare, Colonials prevail 83-79
Free throws can make a brake a game. The Colonials knew that with most clutch player, leading scorer, and best foul shooter fouled out, that Trent Morgan who was hot, 4-6 from 3, and scored 14, wouldn't be a help. They elected to put the ball in the hands of junior shooting guard turned point guard Joaquim Randle. "I am glad I got chosen, but I let my performance from the line do the thanking," said the team's leader in FT percentage, shooting a remarkable 82 percent. He was 7-8 on the night, but 6-6 in the final minute of the game. "Clutch," said coach Pfeffuh. Pfeffuh told reporters throughout a few seasons of struggling in previous years that this would be their year, and he is really following through. What's different this year than last? you may ask. First of all, they handed the PG spot over to shooter Joaquim Randle, seeing that he had less potential at SG then teammate Trent Morgan. The coach proceeded to pull D.C Siembrandt out of the line-up and replace him with Drew Finn, who had 16 points and six rebounds. Then, not satisfied, he let Schafer Alexander shoot at will, and he let it show tonight, shooting 9-11 and scoring 19 points. Xavier had a small team, and Snow and Alexander combined for a season high 25 shots. Snow scored 13 and had 2 blocks despite a slow start. Pfeffuh has changed things left and right, and the most notable is the win percentage.

After the 2-0 week, George Washigton's RPI went up to 16th. Coach Pfeffuh didn't mind, saying that such a minimal detail shouldn't be fretted over. They play 11-11 Richmond on Wed and then return home to play 9-12 UMass, which means the RPI will probably go up again.

Colonials make win streak hit 6, win at Richmond 92-88
The George Washington Colonials at one time were hoping to see their name on the NCAA selection show. Now they know that it will be up there, the only question is how low of a number will be next to it. In this game, one player shone among the rest of the stars on this well rounded, balanced team. D.C. Siembrandt, sixth man of the team scored 18 points and shot very well (7-8), only behind Trent Morgan in team scoring. Morgan, consistently a leading scorer for the team had 20 points. Schafer Alexander had 15 points and 5 rebounds, and Russell Snow gave a stellar defensive performance rejecting three shots. The key player of this game though, was Drew Finn, who only scored 7 points, arising the team's constant debate about who should be starting. "Siembrandt is talented, because his mid range jumper gets over you he knocks it down. Drew is a ore consistent scorer, but Siembrandt is capable of big things," Trent Morgan argued with himself. When asked if this changes the starting line-up, coach Pfeffuh said, "I have a lot of thinking to do. I don't think I should change what works, but if the man deserves to start, and he has been proving it, you gotta consider it." Another note about the Colonials; Schafer Alexander has been revitalized since the start of conference play, and especially in the last three averages a bit under 20 points a game in that span. If he continues to add some points the Colonials are damn hard to beat.

In other Colonial news, Aly Clarke, who was on pace to have a career day last night rolled his ankle after having 7 points and couldn't play. "I'm fine. 99% better already," he told reporters.
