Both teams are jockeying for playoff position. The Raptors are hanging on for home-court advantage in the first round, and the Spurs are just trying to get in.

San Antonio had control of this ball game, and took the crowd out of this game, which made it hard for Toronto to operate. Carter had a relatively cold night for the first 3 quarters and finished with only 17 points. Tim Duncan was a beast in the paint, with 43 points and 23 rebounds and 6 blocks. Tony Parker kept things rolling with 28 points and 11 assist. However, Tony Parker couldn't keep up with Moochie Norris. Moochie had 30 points and 9 assist.

In the final stanza of the game, both teams just traded buckets until the final minute, when San Antonio missed a layup in transition. Toronto scored, but the San Antonio came right back with a layup.

The score was 117-115 with 15 seconds left. Moochie took Parker off the dribble but couldn't convert. Jelani McCoy pulled the board and kicked it out to Walt Williams, who hit the game winning 3 pointer as the buzzer sounded.

"We were just going for the tie, but we'll take it"--says Moochie Norris

Toronto wins a vital one, 118-117.

        Tim Duncan - 43 points, 23 rebounds
        Tony Parker - 28 points, 11 assist
        Steve Smith - 11 points, 5 steals

        Vince Carter - 17 points
        Moochie Norris - 30 points, 9 assist
        Walt Williams - 15 points, 7 rebounds

Congrats on the buzzer beater victory over the Spurs.. your team needed that W..

Lets see if you can go on a little winning streak in the near future, to perhaps improve your playoff seeding.

The end of the season is near, and the Nets need to win every game possible to get into the playoffs. Tonight, they would play against the streaking hot Toronto Raptors who have won their last 5 games.

The game started out with NJ looking to run Toronto out of their own building. Toronto tried to run with New Jersey, but they won't ever happen. Jersey jumps out to a 31-23 lead at the end of the first.

The 2nd quarter was a different story. Toronto slowed the tempo, and Vince Carter got going. Vince Carter finished with 40 points (12th 40-point game of the season) and 11 assist, along with 9 rebounds. Everybody for the Raptors contributed, and they go into halftime winning 51-38. The Raptors allowed only 7 points in the second quarter

In the second half, the trend continued. Eddie Griffin held his ground in the low post, and was the X-factor in tonights game. He finished with 13 points 6 BLOCKS and 7 rebounds.

When the 4th quarter arrived, NJ was down by 13. All quarter long, they shot a lot of threes, and most went in. Walt Williams hit back to back three's in the process, but NJ came back within 2 points, and that's when Vince Carter took over.

In the last two minutes, it was Moochie Norris' game, however. With NJ down 2, inbounding the ball, he stole the ball and got an easy layup...2 POSSESIONS IN A ROW.

The Raptors win this one in exciting fashion, 112-103.

                Jason Kidd - 19 points, 6 assist, 7 rebounds, 3 steals
                Rodney Rogers - 19 points, 11 rebounds (5-11 3pointers)
                Kenyon Martin - 11 points, 0 rebounds.

                Vince Carter - 40 points, 11 assist, 9 rebounds, 5 steals
                Moochie Norris - 19 points, 4 assist, 5 steals
                Walt Williams - 16 points, 5 rebounds

It was reported earlier today that Walt Williams injury was a Torn ACL that would put him out for the season, and some of next, if rehab is not done correctly.

Meanwhile, the Raptors still have to battle without him for the upcoming playoffs. Their next test is against the Heat, who are spiraling out of the playoff picture.

This game started out as a track meet for the Raptors. They ran all over Miami. It was over as soon as it started. Vince Carter and Moochie Norris ran things for Tornto in this one. Toronto stays hot and wins 118-89 in Miami. The Raptors go to Orlando tommorow to finish their 2-day trip in Florida.
