Flash win Big in Home Opener
The Red Flash of St. Francis may have started off slow in this game(being down 13-2) but after a time out the sleeping giants awoke.
In a game that was even further apart than the score would suggest, the flash pulled out the win 69-58.
"That timeout really helped us out" responded Coach T.J. Nelson.
The Flash led 31-26 at recess and kept on building the lead in the second half, eventually getting it up to a 15 point lead.
"We exploded in the second half and I'm glad we did. I would have like to see us it 70(points) though" Nelson said.
So the Flash start off on a winning note which fans hope will continue in their next game which will be a tough one in Pittsburgh, PA aganist the Pittsburg Panthers of the Big East Confrence.

Semi Final Matchups
(1) Fa. Dickenson

(4) St. Francis(PA)
In what should be a hard fought game for both teams it isn't very clear on who to pick to win in this game if your a betting man. But if you go by the numbers then you should pick Fa. Dickenson. However if you like the movie "Rudy" then you should pick the Red Flash because they are severely oversized and are the large underdogs in this game but have the biggest hearts of all the teams in the NCAA.
Honest Abes Pick: Fa. Dickenson
(2) Quinnipiac
v
(6) Wagner
In a very much "David versus Goliath" situation I would pick David in this battle because Wagner has shown in the past that they know how to win even if they aren't looked upon as a top program. They seem to like it that way.
Honest Abes Pick: Wagner

NUMBER 4 RANKED RED FLASH SHOCK BOBCATS AT HOME
In what most would consider a huge upset, the St Francis Red Flash defeated the Quinnipiac Bobcats on the road to take home the North Eastern Confrence championship, thus giving them an automatic bid into NCAA tournament.
"I wouldn't really call it an upset, I mean any team can beat any other team on any given night." An excited coach T.J. Nelson said during the post game media confrence.
Behind a stellar 22 point 13 rebound game from Will Vitelli the Flash took home the championship.
"When Will (Vittelli) hit the first part of his one and one late in the second that put us up 11 at 50-39 I turned to the boys on the bench and I said congratulations, one more for the good guys." Coach Nelson said.
As soon as the horn sounded, St Francis senior guard Mike Norman threw the ball in the air and colapsed on the floor crying tears of joy as the rest of the team and their fans ran around the court like mad men, and rightfully so.
"When I saw Mike on the ground, I walked over to him and he just popped his head of the ground and said that we had finally done it. I said thanks and reminded him that this ride isn't even over for him yet and that he would be something big after graduation whether it be on or off the court. He's a good, young, bright kid and I hope that he's big in something."
It true that it's not over for the Red Flash, hopefully it's not yet over by a long shot as they will now advance to the big dance the NCAA tournament with no knowledge of where they will be seeded, that'll all be sorted out on March 16th, Selection Sunday.
"We're gonna have a beer bash" Coach Nelson said jokingly about the Selection Sunday wait.
"And some kool-aid for the young guns"
