        GAME 3 of 4

The A's have pretty muched owned the Mariners up to this point, and these will definetly be the 2 teams racing for the AL West Championship. In this game, it was tight througout, and Ramon Hernendez hit a Grand Slam homerun to break the game open, the Athletics held a 6-5 lead. The MAriners couldn't come on top, and lose 6-5 .

        WP Ricardo Rincon (2-0)
        LP Kaz Sasaki (0-1)
        S Keith Foulke (5)
HR Ramon Hernendez (1), Mark Ellis (1)

        Terrence Long 3-4, double
        Ramon Hernendez 1-4, GS Homerun.

        Jeff Cirillo 4-5, 2rbi, triple
        Carlos Guillen 2-4, rbi

Tim Hudson continuted to pitch well until Edgar Martinez hit a 3-run HR in the 8th. The Athletics hold on to win 3 of 4 games in the series, and win Game 4, 5-3
