    Detroit has pretty much stay status quo as far as advancing through the standings. However, the team is in the midst of it's best season and, with the right acquisations (OF?) could be contenders down the road.

    Note: I never bothered to make Bonderman and the other rookies, but it is refreshing to see that the Tigers have been developing strong pitchers with 2 rookies in the rotation and youth in the pen.

        Here's proof that having a strong pitching staff (at least on paper), and not much in the area of position players, that you're probably in for a long season.

        The Phillies have almost becomre the NY Mets (although the Mets are only 3 games better than the Phils) of the past few years. High priced free agents that haven't meshed and been relative 'flops' have doomed this team.

        While a youth movement has apparantly taken place, it's not clear yet if the youth that has been moved is the right youth to make the move.

        The Phillies will remain a wait-and-see project for the next couple of seasons.
