    Preseason Moves Rock Buc-Town

    Tampa (AP)-

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after a shocking change in ownership, continue to shock their supporters. The Associated Press reports the Bucs have tradd WR Keyshawn Johnson and DT Warren Sapp to the New York Jets for Curtis MArtin, Wide-out Wayne Chrebet, and Guard Tom Nutten. This move came after reports of the two stars spending time at a local strip joint, only to get into a barroom style brawl with patrons dressed in Eagles attire. "They were punks" is how Keyshawn defends himself, Sapp, for once, declined to comment.

The move provides an answer to the permanant question that is the Buccaneers running game, and frees up cap room, while building team chemistry. "I hope to see 'em (the Jets) in the Super Bowl" says Curtis Martin.

Lets hope so, Buc Nation, lets hope so!

NFL Record Set as Buc's Roll Over Eagles

                      Philidelphia (Reuters)-

Who knew the Buc's D was really this good? Owner Leo Howell did.
"I had no doubts coming into this game, and the team played like it"
The game started off very hot, with the Eagles returning the opening kick-off to mid-field, followed by a 15 yard run by Donnovan McNabb, but on the insuing play, McNabb throws an interception to Brian Kelly.
                      And that's how it began...
Kelly set an NFL record with 4 interceptions, one in each quarter, and was helped by teammates Corey Ivy and Ronde Barber, who each had picks of their own, both returned for touchdowns. The TD was Ivy's first career pick and first career TD. Newcomer Curtis Martin finished his Tampa Debut with 30 carries for 108 yards.
And defense ruled this game...The teams gained under 200 yards each, the Bucs netted 175, the Eagles 142. The Eagles had 102 yard through the air, but McNabb emerged from the game with a 10 for 32 performance, and a 12.3 QB rating.
After the dust cleared, the Buc's won by a final of 27-9.

                      Around the League:
Game of the week honors go to the showdown between the Cards and Lions, and the late heroics of Joey Harrington. The Cards score 13 unanswered, and the score remained 13-0 until the 5 minute mark in the 4th, when Harrington hooks up with Rogers for a 34 yd TD. The Lions get the ball back, and Harrington leads them 93 yards for a Touchdown, capped off by a 1 yd TD pass to Pinner as time expired. The Lions win 14-13.
