Re: MLB Matchup Preview Table
Alright here we go.
How to make the sweet MLB Preview Table
1) Get the firebug add-on for Firefox https://getfirebug.com/ (You can actually learn more stuff about HTML and use this tool to make cooler tables taking them from other sites like ESPN and SI and stuff. It's a great tool.
2) Select the NFL matchup preview table and fill in all the info you want to. (I usually choose the NFL team that is the same city as my MLB team)
Spoiler
3) Generate your table

4) Active firebug (click the icon)
Spoiler
5) Next I change the images. There should be a little console that comes up on the bottom. Click the box with the mouse cursor in it. This is your select tool it will highlight different HTML aspects as you move over them and then show where what you are looking at is in the code
Spoiler
6) I then go back to the MLB box score and find the location of the image of the team I want to use
Spoiler
7) You then paste that location into the image location in the console
Spoiler
8) Now repeat these steps to edit anything else you want in the table. Remember choose the select tool and click on what you want to edit (make sure the box highlights it) and then it will show you where it is in the console. Then you click on whatever you want to change in the console, like words, change them in the console and then move on.
9) Eventually you get the end result on the page
Spoiler
10) Last step. When you use firebug it changes the code on the page locally for you. So the code that is above your table doesn't change. In order to get the final code find the table in the console 1 of 2 ways. By finding the table in the code or at the top it will list some tags and you click the table one. Once the table tag is highlighted in the console click the edit button to bring up the full code for the table. Then copy and paste for success.
