Bobcats lost their first game of the season when they played the new look Magic. The played a tough game up until the fourth quarter where Steve Francis caught fire and extended the lead from 6 to 15. Even with the loss coach Bickerstaff was still pleased with the way his team played. The whole team is very excited about getting further into the season


Champion Tracker

The Pistons have dropped 2 straight. Both very close games .. one with the Houston Rockets and the other against the Sixers. They`re looking to rebound and beat the Nuggets this coming Thursday. Hamilton is still leading the team averaging 20 plus points per contest and Ben Wallace is leading the team as well as the league in rebounds with 12.5 boards per game.

As the Grizz returned home, they were on a 4 game win streak, while the Lakers had dropped 2 in a row.

Both teams started out strong as they were neck and neck throughout the whole first half. Kobe Bryant kept his team in the game as it carried into the later stages of the game. When the Grizzlies came out of the locker room for the second half, the tandem of Mike Miller and Bonzi Wells was too much for the Lakers to even hope to contain. By the end of the game, the Grizz proved to be too much for the Lakers and they took the game with a final score of 113 to 100.

Injury Bug

Mike Miller - 18 ppg 6 rpg 5 apg
Out for approximately 6 weeks with a severe ankle sprain, big blow to the Grizzlies attack. Brian Cardinal is also out with the same injury, his however will keep him out of action for 7 weeks. While Miller is sitting out, the Grizzlies will call to the former Duke player, Shane Battier. Will he be able to fill Miller`s shoes?
