hey guys, sorry to abandon my other post so quickly but i wasnt expecting nba 2k5 so soon. ill be rollin with the mavericks with prince_RIP Superstar sliders. i dont know how it will turn out starting the game on superstar(the hardest level) lol but hopefully ill get used to it during the preseason. ill post an update every week i play since 82 updates a season would be hard. thanks for reading. starts in the next post!

"Webber will be tough for Nowitzki to defend since that's Dirk's weak side, but i feel he has greatly improved on that during the summer. The result will be Dirk will contain Chris, but Dirk wont have a stellar offensive game either. Chris is a tough opponent."

Week 1 in Review

Game 1 vs Kings
The Mavericks came into this game with high hopes. Everyone was pumped up with their new look mavericks. The beginning of the game was tight with the lead changing back and forth, but the user's inexperience started to show in the second half. The Kings started to pull away in a great fashion winning it 92 to 61.

Game 2 vs Hornets
Coming off of a dissappointing blow out, the Mavs looked for redemption against the Hornets. Apparently they looked in the wrong place because the Hornets manhandled them from the start on the way to a 115-80 blow out.

With a 2 game losing streak in hand the Mavs come back home to face off against the vastly underated Grizzlies. This game was slow in the first half with the lead changing hands numerous times. The Mavs were only down by 5 at half. When they took the floor again the Mavs hung with them until the 4th quarter. The Grizz went on a huge run that spanned 5 minutes and ranaway with this one 100-73. While this was the Mavs best showing this year it still needs improvement.

"I think Speedy will manhandle Jason. Jason isn't meshing well in this offense and I've been contemplating what to do with him. I think I'll stick it out a couple of weeks as he makes a nice 2 guard when D.Harris is getting some PG time. Look for Claxton to beat him tonight."

The Warriors,however, were ahead at the half by double digits. The lead for the Warriors stayed steady for the rest of the games as the Warriors won 89-74. This was the Mavs best showing of the season, but yet again it wasn't enough. "Terry is our problem. He is so akward in this offense its hard to utilize his strengths." commented coach Don Nelson after the game.
