        Who Played Yesterday?

Who Played Yesterday? Wildcats lose 69-34

This didn't even look like the same ballclub. Granted, the opposition was stiffer, but no one expected BC to have a let down like this. After a semi-impressive win over Maine, Bethune-Cookman travelled to Boston, Mass to face Boston University.

To say the least, they got torched. Nothing they threw up would go in the hole, and the Terriers hit everything. Chaz Carr outscored the Wildcats by himself, accounting for 40 of 69 Terrier points.

The big thing was turnovers. Bethune-Cookman never really got into an offensive flow due to the swarming pressure that the Terriers put on them. Wildcats lose 69-34.

This is looking very nice so far.

Good luck w/ those "Twin Towers" - looks like you have a pretty good chance of landing them.

It's tough. The opposing team's defense is pretty crunked.

Diondre 3000 Shines, but Lovett Steals the Show
How did this happen? Bethune-Cookman looks like a great team at home, and they played so well throughout this game, but one player had to ruin it. Allen Lovett, Texas Southern Point Guard put a show on in Daytona Beach. The Wildcats shot the ball well and played great defense.

It looked like they were going to win this game when it first started, but a long offensive drought and defensive lapse was the reason for them getting down early in the second half. Still, Diondre Larmond shot his team back into contention. Larmond and Lovett put on a clinic, to say the least.

With a 2 minutes left, the Wildcats down one, point guard O'Neal Carter throw up an alley-oop to the streaking Larmond who finished with an emphatic jam to put the Cats up one. Lovett however, dished off the a TSU big man for an easy layup. Coach Bolden called a timeout, and Anis Carter got in the lane on the insuing possesion for a layup with 9 seconds left to put the Cats up by one again. Lovett wasn't done. He went coast to coast and threw up a floater that went straight through the net as the buzzer sound. Texas Southern won an unbelievable game on BCC turf, 68-67.

                                First Conference Loss is Lopsided

                                First Conference Loss Is Lopsided
The Wildcats go to Hampton to play their very first MEAC conference game under Coach Jay Bolden. Coach realized that a player that he coached against back in North Carolina, Adrian Woodard, made it to Hampton University as a wing player.

Bethune-Cookman came out and played decent, but it wasn't long that an offensive drought combined with a defensive lapse ultimately did in the Wildcats. The lead got to 20 real quick. The Wildcats oft threat to turn the game around, but every run they had was counteracted by a big play that got the crowd hyped.

Diondre Larmond did what he could to keep this game close with 20 points and 3 assist. Hampton just shot the ball better, and outrebounded the Wildcats 28-19. Size was the key. Hampton wins 62-42.
