Middle of the road for user coach details. I really like if dynasties that make the user coach apart of the story i.e. interviews; mentions of coaching at a former school / team if they play said team during the season, etc.

When I was younger there used to be a few good dynasties in the MLB section that told a story on and off the field, even if it was a little over the top and fictional. These were entertaining in an entirely different way.

Either way if the coach is intertwined into the dynasty it's a good read, but I definitely prefer the on the field details via a sports report / recap over the diary entry from a coach POV.

Very. I don't know why but if someone uses a real photo in place of an in game picture and/or video, it's a turnoff. I'm sure that's just me.

I was never a big video guy until recently. I started posting a short video after my games in recent weeks, and from a personal standpoint, it is fun to go back and watch yourself play.

It is also fun to watch other users' highlights and how they play. Lopaka is someone whose videos I always watched.

I imagine months or even years from now, those videos we'll be even more fun to go back and watch for the dynasty reporters. I wish I had been doing it a lot longer.

Yeah, so, I played three games of a dynasty late last winter. I haven't had the time to play. I'm making working out in the morning my nonnegotiable priority after getting way out of shape. Then it's work and time with my wife (remarried, been married to my current wife for nearly two years). I'm getting the itch but thinking it'd be best to start over with current rosters. I can get more time in the afternoon to play now that high school sports are going, because I work more at night and can have afternoons free. No guarantees.

Many thanks to the 16 people who provided responses - Way more than expected! I didn't want to give any guidelines to what I would like regarding responses because I wanted honest answers. However, thanks a lot to those who provided detailed response to what they were looking for. I did remove one response from this group for the actual image shown above. That's because one person did have 8 responses with a 5 rating of the eleven options and I felt the results were a little more meaningful without it. The average reply had 2.4 ratings of 5.

So, it would seem that if you like providing detail, there's someone who will appreciate it, as evidenced by the fact that 9 of the 11 categories had a high of 5 even with that one ballot taken out.

I think most can learn something from this, and I will say what I learned is that I don't need to post my recruiting details as often. That's something I really enjoy reading through, but it appears that those details aren't of great significance to most at the the time a season is played. Maybe as a group we know not to get overhyped about potentiail :-)

If we can develop the characters later, that is very important however, as team storylines were of major significance to all but one poll respondent.
