Sam Houston State surprised everyone in the first half, including themselves. The Bearkats were able to hold the Gators to just 26 first half points, the fewist scored this season.

Everyone was struggling for the Gators in the opening half, except for senior forward, David Lee. Lee scored 14 of the team's 26 first half points. However, the second half was a complete 180 in terms of offensive struggles.

Anthony Roberson scored 4 three pointers, all in the second half, which made his point total a 19 by the game's end. He also dished out 8 assists and is currently 2nd in assists per game in the NCAA.

David Lee, who was the team's focal point in the first half, ended the game with 21 total points and 12 rebounds, the most for him this season in both categories. Matt Walsh did the dirty work, despite his 3 of 11 outing. He finished with just 7 points to go along with his 6 assists and 5 boards.

Player of the Game: David Lee

Joakim Noah, the freshman starting center, was ice cold the entire game, and did not score a point. Al Horford filled in his absence, with 6 points and 4 rebounds.

And of course, Corey Brewer, who has amazed everyone in the NCAA, finished with 16 points.

Guard, Curtis Jordan, scored 16 of the Bearkats' points. Wilder Auguste and Eddy Fobbs closed out with 10 points a piece. However, it took Fobbs 17 shot attempts to score his 5 field goals.

Florida is now 8-2 and will play their interstate rivals, the Florida State Seminoles on the road.

          Current Record: 8-2

In their last game before conference play, the Florida Gators were trounced by their interstate rivals, the Florida Seminoles. Florida couldn't find their shooting rythm in the first half, while their defense went AWOL in the second. Everyone's offense diminished except for forward, Joakim Noah.

Noah was a bright spot in the loss, scoring a career high, 33 points, missing just one shot on 15 of 16 shooting from the field. He also had 14 rebounds, also a career high. Corey Brewer finished with 17 and 10 respectively.

Anthony Roberson, David Lee, and Matt Walsh were no where to be found offensively or defensively. Their lack of offense conceivably cost them the game. The three combined for 33 points, a low, considering their powerful, up-tempo game.

Forward, Anthony Richardson of the Seminoles, scored a team high, 20 points as well as pulling 8 boards. Akeaton Wafer scored 19 of his own and dished out 4 helpers.

Diego Romero and Alexander Johnson were the daggers in the heart to finish up the game. Forcing ther way inside the paint, Romero scored 16 while Johnson with 15.

The Gators fall to 8-3. They play the Arkansas Razorbacks for their first conference game.
