Yeah, rebounding will definitely be a problem with my supersmall lineup.

As long as I shoot the three-ball well, like I have been all season, I think I can come out with a victory.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs visited Auburn, Alabama in hopes of taking down the surging Tigers. When asked about the possible upset, all Coach Neverett had to say was, "War Damn Eagle!"

Hitting early and often was Auburn's fabulous freshman Toney Douglas, who not only put the ball in the hoop, but helped his teammates do the same. After a quick surge by the Tigers, however, there was a huge cold spell. The Bulldogs fed off of their superior rebounding ability and started a comeback, and not even Douglas could undo the spell. Going into the break, the Tigers' lead was down to five points.

The beginning of the second half, however, was totally different. Douglas & Co. regained their shooting touch, and quickly jumped well out in front of the visiting Louisiana Tech team. Again, though, the Bulldogs battled back in the end. Also similar to the first half, the late surge by the visitors was too little too late, and Auburn won 69-60.

The Mountain West Conference's Colorado State Rams visited the undefeated Auburn Tigers, who were hoping to demolish their Mid-Major opponents.

To begin the first half, it not only looked bad for the demolition of the Rams, but for the undefeated status of the Auburn Tigers. Toney Douglas got his fair share of points, as always, but not many of his teammates backed him up. The Tigers shot a measly 34% from the field in the first period, allowing the Rams to be within three points going into the intermission.

The second half, however, was, in short, ugly. The Tigers finally shot the ball well from the field, getting numerous easy buckets inside and out. Douglas continued his stellar play, and the Rams just couldn't keep up. Before Colorado State knew it, the Tigers had done what they set out to do, winning 86-66.

The Virginia Cavaliers, a relatively weak team in a great conference, traveled south to take on the Auburn Tigers. Three recruits came to watch the Tigers take on the Wahoos; PF Erick Ferris, C Rashad Low, and C Lamar Dearmon - all of which are 4 star prospects.

In the first half, Elton Brown and the Cavs held their own against Auburn. Brown was a monster inside against a very undersized and overmatched Tigers lineup, and proved to be too much in the paint. J.R. Reynolds provided the punch from the perimeter for UVA, and matched up pretty well with AU frosh Toney Douglas on the other side of the ball. After a series of runs by the Wahoos, Douglas & Co. came back with ease. Douglas hit a couple of three-balls, and Daniel Hayles, although undersized, packed a punch in the paint. At the intermission, the score was in favor of the Tigers, but not by much.

At halftime, Coach Neverett must've had some pretty inspiring words, as Auburn came out of the locker room on a mission. Douglas didn't score as much as he has in previous games this season, but was efficient from the floor; both as a scorer and setup man. Brown continued to muscle the Tigers around on the inside, but the perimeter play of Auburn proved to be too much, as the Tigers won 85-72.
