      Middle Tennessee (3-2) 42
      #18 Villanova (5-1) 61

Allan Ray had arguably his best performance so far this season in leading the Wildcats to their 6th victory of the year over the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee. Ray seemingly had icewater running through his veins, shooting 10/14 from the field including an extra chilly 6/9 from 3 point range. Villanova had a great shooting night as a team, going 23/43 from the field, including 10/20 from beyond the arc. They also knocked down 5 of 6 attempted free throws. The 'Cats limited their turnovers to only 5, and also outrebounded the Blue Raiders, 23-17. Nova played very unselfishly as well, 19 of their 23 field goals made were assisted. Next Villanova will play the 3rd out of their 4 Philly 'Big 5' rivalry games, this time against the Quakers of Pennsylvania. The game will be the last non conference game before Big East play starts till late January.

      Player of The Game:

      Allan Ray: 26 points, 2 assists, 2 steals, 10/14 FGs (6/9 3PT FGs)

      Villanova Stats
Curtis Sumpter: 11 points, 3 assists, 1 block, 8 rebounds
Michael Nardi: 10 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, 1 rebound
Randy Foye: 5 points, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 rebound
Jason Fraser: 4 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, 7 rebounds
Kyle Lowry: 3 points, 1 assist
Will Sheridan: 2 points, 1 block, 1 rebound
      Josh Brooks: 5 rebounds

The 'Cats got off to a 14-0 run to start the game and never looked back. It was a game of firsts for Villanova. It was the first time all season that somebody not named Ray or Sumpter led the Wildcats in scoring and the first time Michael Nardi didn't lead the team in assists. Randy Foye had a game high 20 points, although Ray and Sumpter were still tremendous, combing for 28 points and 7 assists. Michael Nardi still dished out 5 dimes, 1 short of Allan Ray's 6. Similar to the last game, the Wildcats were shooting lights out all night, going 24/43 from the field, including 7/12 from long range. They nailed 15 out of 22 free throws as a team. Next up for Villanova is the West Virginia Mountaineers as the 'Cats begin Big East play.

          Player of The Game:

Curtis Sumpter: 18 points, 1 assist, 3 blocks, 12 rebounds
