Well once again I missed the 60 min "window" set by the Admins....so here is my next post

        WEEK 4:

        (1) Vernard Giles PF * Cedar Rapids,IA (HC) Phone, EMail X5,
        (3) Carey Whitney C ** Pittsburgh, PA (HC) Phone, EMail X5,
        (1) Emmett Evan C ** Chicago, IL (HC) Phone, EMail X5,

        GAME 2

        (1-2) Ovr - 59, Off - 66, Def - 66

        35 - 30 - 65

        (0-1) Ovr - 65, Off - 71, Def - 68

        28 - 30 - 58

        Again...SO Close

Lipscomb tried their best, they kept it close thru the first half. But when it turned to the second, they had no answer. (PG) Brian Fisk tried his best (14 Pts) but it wasn't good enough as the Camels could NOT stop the Tigers.

                Deja Vu

Lipscomb keeps coming close in their games, they just can't seem to find a win. Once again the Camels were led by (PG) Brian Fisk (15 Pts), and also once again they let the game get away from them in the second half.

Going into the half with the score tied, the Camels felt pretty comfident. They however werer unable to stop Troy (SG) Bobby Dixon who went 4-5 from the 3pt arc in the second half. Next up for the Camels is a rematch with Savannah State.

                    FINALLY!

"FINALLY" was what Lipscomb coach T.B. Lyns was heard saying as the clock hit 0:00 in last nights Bison vs. Suvannah State basketball game.

For the first time in this young season the Bisons were able to put together a complete game. From their 40% team shooting to the 12 defensive rebounds (PF) Cameron Robinson pulled down. As usual Lipscomb went into halftime in a close game. However, unlike the other games this season, they came out HOT in the second half. Starting out with a 16-7 run the Bisons looked like would run away with the game. Unfortunately they cooled down a bit late in the game, fortunately though they had enough gas left to keep a decent 8 point lead and finish off the win.

Next up for the Bison's are the Nicholl State Colonels.

                        Embarrassment

The Bison's were embarrassed from the opening tip-off , which they lost, till the clock hit 0:00 at the end of the game.

Lipscomb was pitiful shooting hitting only 32% of their shots, while letting the Colonels hit 10 of 10 3 pointers, they were also out rebounded 69-10 throughout the game. The Bison's were just outplayed, out hustled, and out classed all game. The only bright point was (FR-SF) Eddie Ard who scored 24 points.

Whether the team let their first win earlier in the week go to their heads or they heads were just not in the game, needs to be figured out by coach Lyns. As the way the Bison's played tonight will not be put up with by the fans and alumni.

The Bisons get next week off and then go to Arkansas to face the Arkansas Razorbacks on 12/20.

                            (1-4) Lipscomb Bisons Ovr - 66, Off - 72, Def - 69

                            31 - 29 - 60

                            Embarrassment

It didn't take Nostradamus to predict the outcome of tonights game between our Bison and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Lipscomb gave it a good shot but they were heavily outmanned by the favored Razorbacks.

After keeping it close for the first 10 minutes of the game, in fact leading by 2 at the 13 minute mark, the Bisons just ran out of gas and went to the locker room down by 16 at the half. Lipscomb started out shooting well hitting 10 of their first 15 shots, but after the first 10 mions they only hit 2 of their next 21. They were also out muscled on the boards 30-4.

To start the second half the Bisons showed some fire again, hitting 6 of their first 8 shots and not allowing Arkansas to score for the first 3 & 1/2 minutes. However after that it was more of their usual play as Lipscomb finished the game hitting only 33% (24/73) of their shots and being controlled on the boards 51-34.

Even though this loss was expected, the way our boys lost was poor. At times they showed fire and a desire to do good things on the court, but as usual those times were few and short.

The Bisons are off next week and then they get another chance for their second win of the season when they go to North Carolina, as they start the heart of conference play and face the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs on 1/3/05.

                            Code:
                            Lipscomb Game Leaders:

                            (SO PG) Brian Fisk 23-Pts 5-Assts 6-Rebs
(JR SG) James Poindexter 13-Pts 4-Assts
                            (FR SF) Eddie Ard 8--Pts 4-Assts 2-Rebs
