Re: Los Angeles Dodgers (MVP 2005)

Glad to see you get back on the right track with that big win over the Giants..

Jeff Kent is the new Chipper!

Have fun against the Arizona pitching, I predict at least two more Kent HR's.

Wow, two blowouts.. and then a close call.

Good luck against the Cubs, their pitching staff will give you fits.. especially compared to what you've been seeing in Arizona.

                          Dodgers With Another Trade

The Dodgers made a huge trade today to upgrade their already stellar pitching. Jeff Weaver has been complaining about playing time to the Owners. Weaver has won 4 games this year but hasn't been great, he has no command of his fastball and gives up too many hits, the infield bails him out with double plays. Dodgers GM Jim Tracy talked to other GMs about trading for Weaver, the Minnesota Twins said they might be interested if they got help in the bullpen and at third base. Jim Tracy was skeptical but offered Weaver, Yhency Brazoban, and Jose Valentin for last year's Cy Young Johan Santana, amazingly the Twins accepted. "I bet they are pissed," said Jim Tracy about Twins' fans. Yhency Brazoban has been struggling in LA and maybe Minnesota will be a better fit for him. Jose Valentin has been great offensively and should be missed by the Dodgers, since Norihiro Nakamura will assume the third base position with Olmedo Saenz getting some games in there.

The rotation will now consist of: Odalis Perez, Johan Santana, Barry Zito, Dontrelle Willis, and Edwin Jackson. This is by far the youngest and best pitching staff you may ever see. Odalis Perez and Barry are the oldest of the 5 at only 27 years of age.

Tough break w/ Bradley going on the DL.. at least it's not serious.

I love the move you made to get Johan.. I expect a 20 K game out of him!
