            Re: Los Angeles Dodgers (MVP 2005)

            Victor Zambrano = Trouble?

            After Jim Tracy had come out to the mound to pull Victor from the game last night, you could see Zambrano mouthing something as he walked towards the dugout. Jim Tracy and Zambrano got into a shouting match in the entrance to the locker room. Tracy was frustrated with Zambrano because he has lost 3 straight decisions and just hasn't been pitching well. Victor was brought in with the trade for Carlos Beltran and while Beltran has been simply amazing for the Dodgers, Zambrano hasn't done anything. With Zambrano upsetting the locker room and fans, you could look for a trade to happen soon. The Oakland Athletics are not impressed with Zito's performance after his 2002 Cy Young and he hasn't been pitching well this season either. The A's are in first place in the AL West but Zito is 3-4 with a 3.40 ERA. The Dodgers have expressed some interest in bringing Barry Zito to LA.

              You'd have to pay someone to take Zambrano!

                I'll work on some trades tomorrow.

                    Zambrano = GONE!

                    The Dodgers who have been extremely unimpressed by Victor Zambrano traded him and Elmer Dessens, who keeps complaining about playing time to the Oakland Athletics for 2002 Cy Young Barry Zito and rookie Huston Street from the University of Texas. Zito hasn't gotten back to his Cy Young form at all but he needs some offense behind him as well to help him get there. Huston Street will be the future of the Dodgers bullpen. He may even be put into the closer position for next year, depending on whether Billy Koch is re-signed. Zito will get his first start as a Dodger against the Anaheim Angels, a former division rival.
