    General Update

Ok guys, so far I hope the few readers I have are enjoying. I'm halfway through the Notre Dame game which I plan on posting a bit later. As far as what you can expect for the future of this thread I've got such plans as: continue game recaps w/ pics & recruitment information, maybe start to do a few "player profiles" on the names showing up more often than others, post an interview with Coach Jim Harbaugh, create some controversial news stories both at Stanford and with rivals on the college scene.

My next two weeks are going to be real tough in this season, I have to face Boise State and Southern Cal back-to-back weekends and both are conference games, that'll be a pain in the behind.

I'm glad I've gotten as many views as I have so far and the couple comments and all the create-a-player profiles(for those of you who have started to send in your player info you'll most likely be recruits for the 2011 season except for Stanford commits they'll be on the team.). Please keep up with the comments and such, makes this more enjoyable. Feel free to ask questions gauged towards the Coach about the team and the teams future or the Athletic Director about his thoughts of the team's early success and his impression of Coach Jim.

Oh, and wanna know what's screwed up? I was ranked after week 2 I was ranked 24th in the country, after another win I went from 24th to unranked and unranked Arizona jumped to 21st after beating Iowa. Beat.

    Till next time, Later Gators.

Week 4: Battle of the Legends Trophy - Notre Dame at Stanford

Stanford Scores Early and Often En Route to a 35-7 Trouncing of Rival Notre Dame to Win the Legend Trophy But Remain Unranked After 4-0 Start to Season

      On The Recruiting Trail:
      This Week's Important Recruiting Info...

.....After week 4 of the season we only had three interest changes, Michael Franklin moved Stanford up to 3rd from 5th, Roderick Quinn a guard moved Stanford from his 3rd to 2nd favorite school while center Paul Joseph interest moved the Cardinal up to second from third. Five players visited during the Notre Dame Battle of the Legends Trophy game, them being: WR Aaron Wheeler, CB Mike Andersen, G Roderick Quinn, SS Reggie Pace and C Paul Joseph…All rated their visit as an “A-“. Mike Andersen was quoted after the game saying, “WOW! What a blow-out! I’m really liking Stanford, their football team is doing well and their academic prestige is through the roof.” While Reggie Pace states Stanford’s close proximity to his home in Arizona makes the Cardinal his favorite at the moment. Coach Jim Harbaugh has set up four more campus visits to go along with his four coming week 8.

        Breaking News: Player Suspension

BREAKING NEWS: It is being reported on ESPN.com that Pac-10 Commissioner has laid down that law after inappropriate comments made to the media about Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist. Chike Amajoyi commented after Stanford’s 35-7 rout over Notre Dame that Dayne Crist was a “*ussy who will never take ND anywhere,” after Crist slide feet first to avoid a hit in the first quarter. Scott has decided to suspend Chike Amajoyi for one game, which would be this Saturday’s nightmare match-up against number one in the country, Boise State Broncos. However, Chike and officials from Stanford are reportedly working to get the appeal process started, once it gets rolling Chike will still be able to play until the ruling is either remains or is vetoed.

Stanford Cardinal head coach Jim Harbaugh was terribly shocked when he found out about the suspension, after practice this morning reporters caught up with him and caught him saying, “What Larry decided to do was unfortunately irrational and without pause. He did not take time to talk to Chike or myself rather just read the media report and made his decision. That is an unfortunate way to conduct business.”

So while Coach and Amajoyi work on the appeal the rest of the team is preparing for their trip to Boise, Idaho to face the number one team in the country in the Boise State Broncos. This will be the first time either school has faced off against one another in their histories. Many expect this to be a high scoring affair, a complete shoot-out.

Just got caught up.. Very happy to see BSU move to the Pac-10, but very surprised you dumped Oregon. Normally I see WSU or Arizona. (The 2 crappiest teams in the conference).

Can't cheer for you at all next game, but I do hope you at least don't get your butt spanked...

Week 5: UPSET ALERT! Stanford at #1 Boise State

How Do You Like Me Now?! Stanford goes to Boise State and outclasses the Broncos on their home turf to the tune of 28-23 Upset Special. Rivalry in the making here folks!

              Post-game Quote:
Coach Jim Harbaugh: "Holy Cow! That was one [expletive] of a battle out there! I have to tip my hat to Chris Petersen and his team, they came out like the number one team in the country looking to defend their turf. Tonight was our night though, I'm so proud of my boys, we'll celebrate tonight but tomorrow back to work because we have to stay focused and not let this emotional high drain us for our visit to Southern Cal next weekend. I wonder if this will be enough for the computers to vote us into the Top 25."

              On The Recruiting Trail:
              This Week's Important Recruiting Info...

...Two visits were scheduled for week 7, WR Billy Goat from Franklin Wisconsin and 4-star middle linebacker Cameron Jones from Alamo, Texas will be on campus. The Cardinals don't have a game that week but hope the time off will allow more one-on-one with the two gentleman to get them to commit. On the sad sign Roderick Quinn has given a soft verbal to Cal, there is still a chance Stanford can sign him but only time will tell.

                Recruiting Central: Week 6 Information

                Committed Player Brief Profiles
High school senior Kicker A.J. McCray became the first commitment of the season for head coach Jim Harbaugh. McCray is rated as the 15th best kicker amongst his peers hailing from Claremont California. A.J. was the team's place kicker as well as field goal specialist for his entire four year stay at Claremont Preperatory Academy. A three sport athlete A.J. was also starting point guard on the varsity basketball team and starting striker on the varsity soccer team. McCray had offers from other Pac-10 rivals in UCLA, Cal and USC for his kicking services but A.J. was quoted saying, "when Coach Harbaugh showed up at my house the first time and met with my family and myself I was totally blown away by his presense and his plan for the Cardinal. I knew right then I wanted to be coming to Stanford and I'm glad we could get it done so early in the process that I can relax and play football without that stress anymore." McCray was using an unofficial visit to Stanford where he commited shortly before the team's home opener got started against Arkansas.

"A.J. is a very talented kicker but is also a very well rounded young man, the staff and I are looking forward to what he'll be bringing to our team and the University." said Coach Harbaugh when asked about his first commitment moments after his Cardinal's upset visiting Arkansas.

Glad to have you on board as a follower, hopefully my recent upset of Boise State won't put pause in our blossoming friendship lol. When I moved Boise State and Utah into the Pac-10 I decided to get ride of the absolute worst team in Washington State and the team I least like in Oregon.

Thanks for the compliments. I hope to make this a very popular dynasty. I guess I should link to it in my sig lol.

Breaking News: Suspension Appeal Decision Announced

BREAKING NEWS: The last time we reported to you Chike Amajoyi had been issued a one game suspension for inappropriate comments in a post-game interview. It had been reported that Coach Jim Harbaugh and Chike had filed an appeal to the Pac-10 Board of Members, allowing Chike to play against Boise State where the Cardinals upset the #1 Broncos. Days have passed since the appeal was filed and the Cardinals played Saturday, with that being said the decision has come back from the Board of Members.

"We the members of the board for the Pacific Athletic Conference have decided unanimously to decline the lift of Chike Amajoyi's one game suspension. Us members of the board believe that the comments Chike made were completely inappropriate, they showed poor sportsmanship and a lack of respect for the competitor. The PAC-10 is all about sportsmanship, respect and dedication to be your best; we stand behind those characteristics and hope this suspension will give Chike the opportunity to think about the privledge he has to play college football in the illustrious PAC-10 conference," said Head of the Board Gene Block, Chancellor of the University of California Los Angeles in a statement released this afternoon.

Neither Coach Harbaugh or Chike Amajoyi have been returned calls from ESPN.

The suspension will take place this weekend when the #19th ranked Cardinal travels to Southern Cal to get it on with the 5th ranked men of Troy.

Back-to-Back Upsets! Stefan's Jones Record Setting Rushing Day Leads Stanford to Stunning Victory Over the Trojans

                          Post-game Quote:
Coach Jim Harbaugh: "Well that's what I would call no emotional letdown. After getting passed Boise last week I was worried we'd slip against the Trojans and lose our undefeated record in the conference but this was a big win for our team and back-to-back huge wins for the Stanford program."

                          On The Recruiting Trail:

Outside Linebacker Michael Franklin is the second player in as many weeks to give the Cal Golden Bears a soft verbal commitment. Last week quarterback Steve Tate the 58th ranked signal caller from Ontario Canada was added to the recruiting board and after a week passed he moved Stanford to his favorite school. Wednesday, October 6th 2010

                              Palo Alto, CA
                              – Early Wednesday morning shortly after sunrise the San Francisco Narcotics Unit raided two apartments just off the campus of Stanford University. Search warrants were obtained and the police detectives found exactly what they were looking for. 120 kilograms of Cocaine, a half dozen illegal firearms, over $60,000 in cash all in $20’s, $50’s and $100’s.

Police detectives released the names of the people arrested in the raid, the three biggest names were that of three Cardinal football players, two Cardinal baseball players, a wrestling team member as well as one soccer player. The football players were senior halfback Jeremy Stewart, freshman and sophomore cornerbacks Barry Browning and Terrence Brown respectively. The baseball players were sophomore outfield Scott Colton, and Jeremy Stewart’s younger brother Jake Stewart who is a freshman. The lone wrestler was Cary Jones while the lone soccer player was Miguel Maximoto.

It is said that the narcotics unit had been targeting these two apartments and their occupants for months. Unfortunately until now they didn’t have their real names working off of nicknames until now, but now the police have more than just their birth names – they have physical evidence – everything they’ll need to make this an open and shut case. This situation comes as a shock to the Stanford campus, throughout the day word spread amongst the students by whispers and regular gossip.

Neither the Stanford Administration nor the Athletic Director been available for comment.

Detective James Whitaker was quoted saying, “we’ve spent a lot of time piling information up on these guys, although we didn’t have their real names we had their code names from day one. This was a well ran drug ring with the narcotics being smuggled into the United States from south of the border, mainly brought in on speed boats and pontoon boats.”

“At this point it looks like these men will be going away for a good bit of time. They are looking at charges such as possession of drug, conspiracy to sell drugs, drug distribution, felony weapons, being in control of stolen property, quite honestly the list goes on. It’s disheartening but I don’t see these student-athletes returning to their fields to finish out their college careers.”

At this time we are unaware of the students’ current standing with the school, if they will be expelled from the University and so forth. As that information becomes readily available we will let you know.
