      WEEK 6

      (2-2) @ (0-3)

      GAME PREVIEW

It's Rivalary Week as WSU travels to Corvalis to take on the Beavers. Coach Dodge is 2-0 against Coach Riley and looks to make it 3-0, as OSU has struggled early with loss's to Ole Miss, Washington and Stanford. The Beavers are Avg just 11.3 PPG

Coach Riley "We need to get things turned around here and start winning games and to do that we have to put points on the scoreboard."

      GAME RECAP

The Cougars would dominate the 1st half as the Beavers continued to show their inability to score points. WSU would lead take a 17-0 lead in to the locker room (40 yd Pass from Halliday to M. Wilson and a 1 yd TD run by D. Williams, 21 yd FG by R. Parrish)

Oregon State would open the 2nd half with the ball and backup QB J. Lomax would hit M. Marble for a 2 yd TD.. C. Halliday would then throw his 2nd INt of the game but Lomax would take the field again looking to make something happen, but instead the ball would find the hands of D. Bucannon who would return the INT 39 yds for the "Pick 6". OSU would add a FG on their next possesion to make it 24-10 going into the 4th.

Again Lomax would find the endzone this time with his feet scoring from 1 yd out to make it 24-17, After watching C. Halliday throw his 3rd INT of the game ealier in the 4th Quarter, Coach Dodge would keep the ball on the ground chewing up clock before kicking a 24 yd FG with less then 2 minutes to play.

      FINAL SCORE WSU-27 OSU-17

      KEY PLAYERS

      QB C. Halliday 17/36 293 1 TD 3 INT
      RB D. Williams-26 carries 102 yds (3.9 Avg) 1 TD, 2 rec 67 yds
      WR M. Wilson-5 rec 128 yds 1 TD
      LOLB A. Burns-11 Tackles (3 solo, .5 sack)
      DE S. Kaufusi-8 Tackles (3 Solo, 4 TFL 1.5 sack)

POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH DODGE

"I am disappointed with how we played. Even though we came away with the win, it wasn't because our team played great, it was because they are struggling. If we had played like this against Utah or even Idaho, it would be a loss in the score column right now.

The only positive that came out of the game was DW getting 20+ carries and getting over 100 yds. Conner needs to start doing a better job of making smart plays. If the player isn't open he needs to throw the ball away."

It's not looking good my friend. AJ Hart seems to think Oregon is his best bet to win and Arkansas isn't on JeMarcus Green's Top-10 this time around. Right now it looks like he might be a Longhorn.

                  WEEK 7

                  (3-2) VS (2-1)

                  GAME PREVIEW

Both teams are coming into this game on a high note. WSU has won 2 straight including a win on the road over Pac-10 Rival Oregon State, well the Cal Bears are coming off a huge upset over #17 UCLA.

                  GAME RECAP

For the 3rd straight game the WSU "D" would dominate the first half holding Cal out of the endzone and off the scoreboard. The Cougar Offense would get a huge lift as TE C. Jackson catches a ball over the middle taking it 52 yds for the TD to put WSU on the board. RB D. Williams would add a 4 yd run in the 2nd Q and R. Parrish would hit his 10th FG in 11 tries to give WSU the 17-0 lead going into the locker room.

Cal would dominate the 3rd Quarter scoring twice including a 65 yd pass play from A. Bridgford to K. Allen as the Bears make it a game (17-14)

Cal would open the 4th scoring again as Bridgford hits T. Carter on a 7 yd slant to put the Bears up (21-17) But the lead would last long as WSU punches it in on the ground with R. Mayfield to make it (24-21) Cal would eat up 4 minutes on their drive which ended in a 30 yd FG to tie the game (24-24) with less then 2 minutes to play. However on the insuing kickoff, CB N. Washington would get a huge block down the left sideline then cut across field breaking a tackles as he goes 96 yds on the return for the huge TD. (31-24) (This was my 1st Kickoff return for a TD, Washington returned a punt for a TD last year for my 1st punt return for a TD)

Cal would have a chance to tie the game but on a 4th and 4 they would turn the ball over and out of timeouts had to watch WSU down the ball and hold on for the win.

                  FINAL SCORE WSU-31 CAL-24

                  KEY PLAYERS

                  QB C. Halliday-18/37 246 yds 1 TD
                  RB D. Williams-19 carries 60 yds (3.1 Avg) 1 TD
                  TE C. Jackson-4 rec 92 yds 1 TD
                  WR M. Wilson-4 rec 73 yds
KR N. Washington 96 yd TD return.

POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH DODGE

WOW!! That's all I can say about how we ended this one. I figured we had a good chance for the win with the ball and Halliday playing well not turning it over, but never did I expect to see Washington go 96 yds for the score. I am really proud of our "D" tonight. We gave up 2 big plays which resulted in scoring drives, but other then that we were solid. I felt Williams ran hard even though he didn't break any big plays we stayed with the run and won the TOP battle.

Tell me about it. I will update the Top-5 schools or if they signed in Week 10. Dont' feel to bad though Hockeyplaya is a huge MSU fan and his play Aaron Wheeler signs with Michigan.

                          WEEK 8

                          (4-2) VS #22 (3-2)

                          GAME PREVIEW

Coach Dodge is 0-2 vs the Ducks and 6-9 Lifetime against Top-25 teams, so this was a bigtime matchup.

Coach Dodge wasn't the only excited about this week's matchup Starting RB Donte Williams and CB A. Patterson both transfered in from Oregon looking to become stars for the Cougars after being put in a reserve role by Coach Chip Kelly.

                          GAME RECAP

This game was full of big plays on both sides of the ball. Oregon's RB L. Seastrunk showed why he is a Heisman Canidate as carries the ball 11 times for 107 yds in the 1st half including a 66 yd TD run in the 1st Quarter. All American QB Bryan Bennett played great as well completing 10/15 passes for 159 yds but his 1 INT returned 82 yds by CB N. Washington was a turning point for the Cougars as they took the 21-10 lead at the half. QB C. Halliday played great going 10/17 for 146 yds and 2 TD's both to WR B. Ratliff in the final minute of the half.

Oregon would fight back in the 2nd half as Bennett finds WR K. Lowe for 2 TD's, but WSU's D. Williams supplied 2 big runs (55 yds and 33 yds) setting up a 7 yd TD run as the Cougars took a 31-24 lead into the 4th Q.

Williams would end the night with a season/career high 161 yds on 27 carries, but it was his former teammate L. Seastrunk who would take home player of the game honors as he goes 58 yds in the 4th Quarter after a C. Winston fumble to tie the game (31-31) Out of FG range, WSU was forced to go for it on 4th and 6 with 1:45, but C. Halliday pass was picked off. The Cougar "D" would play well forcing Oregon to kick a FG with 34 seconds to play. Out of timeouts, Halliday would lead his team down the field and with 4 seconds to play, Parrish would rush on to the field to try and tie the game, but the clock would expire before the kick was off, and the Ducks would hold on for the win.

I am very frustrated. I felt like we played a great game minus the fact Seastrunk had some huge runs and Bennett seemed to connect on every pass minus the 1 big INT. Washington has been huge for us with back to back big plays in games (Kick return last game)

I really felt like the O-line did a great job of opening up holes for Williams. Winston's fumble was like a dagger to the heart as it was what allowed them the chance to tie the game. Also not being able to stop the clock to ste up the Field Goal killed us. We probalby should've just thrown for the endzone but I thought we had enough time to get the unit out there for the kick.

Well everyone loves to get a Franchise QB or a playmaking WR, the player everyone is looking for is the next great RB. We spotlight 2 of the nations best.

I will make sure i check the spelling. I tried my best to get Kesley to come to WSU, but no luck. I couldn't get past the big boys and I wasn't going to change my recruiting Freshman. I was actually breaking my own rule because I wasn't going to go after any 5* players until I was a 4* Overall, but I figure with board memembers it's different. I don't think you are going to get your choice. It looks like its going to be Michigan. At least you have the #1 and #2 WR also joining you there as well.

Overall ratings for all recruits were 85 Overall this time around.
