    Dallas, TX

    WEEK 12 NOTABLE GAMES

    #6 Ohio State (9-1, 6-0) at #1 Iowa (10-0, 6-0) (Big 10)
This came could determine not only a National Championship Bid for Iowa (they only have Minn. remaining after OSU), but will determine the Big 10 Title. Both teams are 6-0 in Big Ten play.
OHIO STATE WON - WINS BIG EAST

    #7 Nebraska (9-1, 5-1) at #22 Texas A&M (8-2, 5-1) (Big 12)
Although Nebraska as already clintched the Big 12 North, Texas A&M is very much in the hunt for the South and this could very well be a preview of the Big 12 Conference Championship. An A&M loss would eliminate them from a title shot.
Texas A&M WON - but was eliminated from a Big 12 Conference Championship bid with the Oklahoma win. Nebraska will play Oklahoma for the Big 12 title.

    Fresno State (7-2, 5-1) at #4 Boise State (9-0, 5-0) (WAC)
This game too may have National Championship and Conference Championship implications involved. Boise is currently the WAC leader with a 5-0 Conference record with Fresno State right behind at 5-1. A Boise win will clinch the WAC title with a Nevada loss, while a Fresno loss will hand them the title if the manage to win out their last 2 games. With Boise State, #1 Iowa, #2 Auburn and #3 Georgia Tech all have tough remaining games and will have to withstand the Conference Championship to land a National Title game bid. If Boise State wins out, they could sneak in the back door of the BCS National Championship.
BOISE STATE WON - Will clinch WAC Title with a win over Nevada next week

    #25 ECU (8-2, 6-0) at Rice (4-6, 3-3) (C-USA)
An ECU win will Clinch the C-USA East and will go up against SMU in the West. ECU and SMU play the last week of the regular season as well.
ECU WON - Wins C-USA East, will play SMU in C-USA Title game.

    Ohio (7-3, 6-0) at Temple (7-3, 5-1) (MAC)
Ohio leads teh MAC East with a 6-0 Conference record while the Temple Owls remain just one game behind at 5-1 in Conference play. The winner of this game will go on to the MAC Championship game to take on either Northern Illinois or Western Michigan if winning out.
TEMPLE WON - will clinch the MAC East with a win next week or an Ohio loss. A Temple loss and Ohio win will hand the East back over to Ohio.

        COLLEGE FOOTBALL UPDATE
        WEEK 13

        WEEK 13 NOTABLE GAMES

        #1 Auburn (11-0, 7-0) vs. #5 Alabama (10-1, 7-0)
What a match-up. In both team's last game of the season, The SEC Title Game and a National Championship bid is on the line. The winner of this football game will go on to play Florida for the SEC Championship. Auburn controls its destiny while holding onto the top BCS spot. An Alabama upset over Auburn, an SEC Title, and a little help from the ACC (defeating Georgia Tech), Michigan (defeating Ohio State), and/or a WAC opponent defeating Boise State, and the Tide may roll right into the BCS National Championship game.

        SMU vs. #20 ECU
This game's outcome will not impact the C-USA title, however, these two teams have already sealed their spots in the Championship game against one another. This will be a preview of the C-USA title match.

        Michigan (7-4, 4-3) vs. #4 Ohio State (10-1, 7-0)
With #1 Auburn having to face Alabama and then Florida (if they win), there is a danger learking for the #1 spot to fall. Georgia Tech will have to defeat conference foe, Georgia and then survive the ACC title match to hold onto the BCS Title game bid. Auburn and Georgia Tech losses will more than likely land Ohio State into the National Title game if they defeat rival Michigan.

        #2 Georgia Tech (11-0, 8-0) vs. Georgia (4-7, 2-6)
Georgia Tech has an easier route to hold onto their National Title game spot than Auburn, however, they do find themselves in a similar situation having to play a conference rival, and pull out a conference title to keep their bids. With #3 Boise State, #4 Ohio State and #5 Alabama learking and waiting for the top teams to slip, Georgia Tech is in a high pressure situation.

Looks like you had a solid season, any good 4 or 5 star recruits you have coming in?

Good luck with San Diego State btw, I always hate it when I lose in Bowl games lol.

Again I must give you props for your layout, its one of the best on here. I wish I had photoshop/ect type skills, but I don't.

As always BSU gets screwed by the BCS. Nobody wants to see Georgia Tech play for a National Title.

That SMU game was a heartbreaker. I have had several like that in my time at WSU. I hate it. Just when you think you had a game won, they take it away.

I doubt you will have any issues destroying San Diego State, they are not very good (this is a jab at my friend Franchise, because the SDSU basketball team beat Gonzaga last night.)

Good luck with San Diego State btw, I always hate it when I lose in Bowl games lol.
It was a good season. I have a lot of young guys that performed well (Graham (QB - FR), Martinez (HB - FR), Rouse (DE - FR)... and I am bringing back 7 starters on both sides of the ball (14 total) next season.

I wish I would have had a shot at the C-USA title but no go.

Sadly, I did not have any 4 or 5 star recruits sign. I had only one 4-star recruit on my board (From W.Va.) but he ditched me for that other West Virginia school.

I am going to have a full recruiting write up in the next couple posts (after my Championship Week preview).

I appreciate it man!!! Thanks once again for following along!

I am at championship week now, and I am going to do a write-up for that. Boise and OSU are still in the running for that title game, as Auburn and G.T. have to survive that conference championship.

I was surprised to see G.T. and Auburn do this well...

Before I play the conference championship week and do the write-up/previews for those games... I want to get some feed back on what you all would like to see and for me to maybe eliminate/improve on for Season 2 of the Thundering Herd Dynasty?

Also, I thought it would be neat to have some OS forum participants as 2011 recruits. That way you could follow the board and see what school you end up landing on... then follow your personal performance in season to come.

I would like to have at least 5 OS participants... PM me if you are interested and I will make up a form to enter in your information.

As always, thank you all for following thus far and I look forward to any advice, suggestions or even praises (come on - who doesn't like praise?) you all may have. I'm a rookie (Freshman) at this.

I am also considering organizing a madden 11 dynasty and run them both simultaneously with one another so that players can be followed from college then pro.

Would this idea sound like an interesting read/project or would people rather them to be completely seperate and independent?

I like it as is, to be honest. I really like your recaps.

BTW, I'll be up in Alum Creek, WV this weekend, so I'll be passing through Charleston before getting on Corridor G!

We are actually referring to Charleston, West Virginia. However, small world... I grew up in Goose Creek. My father was also stationed there (U.S. Navy). You too in the Navy?
