    Looking forward to the update.

Being a Viking fan, having to watch the Packers win it all sucked, especially after last year losing in heartbreaking fashion, but hey, there's always next year. I have to say that because my team is cursed.

It's funny my dad's family is from Wisconsin and are all Packer fans, my Moms family lives in Minnesota and is Viking fans. My parents never really thought about the rivalary when they met and married, so for me I just cheer for both of them to do well.

Obviously I am a Seahawk fan having grownup in the Northwest my entire life, so after watching them the Steelers cheat their way to a Superbowl win over my Hawks, my enjoyment was watching the Steelers lose no matter who they played.

That and I won $20 for the Packers winning..

Well that would be a good reason to cheer for them. As much as I don't like the Packers, I have to hand it to them. To go through all of those injuries and stuff like that, they had an incredible run and amazing QB, I just wish my team could draft a QB for once.

Tough run for your Seahawks though, they seem to be going the right way, and should have a good shot to win the division again. The cool thing about the NFL is that it's hard to stay on top, so a lot of change can happen. Let's just hope that the CBA gets all figured out.

I think I'm just sick of seeing the same AFC teams always making it to the Super Bowl, seems like it's always Pitt, NE, or IND making it.

          WEEK 4

          #7 (2-0) VS #13 (1-0)

70 GAME HOME WIN STREAK ON THE LINE

          GAME PREVIEW

Coach Pete knew playing the Trojans at home on "The Blue" would be as big if not bigger challenge then playing in the past 2 National Championships. Every team seem to bring their best when trying to stop the Nation's longets home winning streaks.. But with sellout crowds behind them every game Bronco Stadium has become the #2 Toughest Place to play in College Football.

          GAME RECAP

BSU would open the 1st half recieving the kick and go 82 yds before FR QB C. Haas would throw a INT into the endzone to kill the drive. USC would answer with a 88 yd drive of their own, capped of by a 15 yd C. McNeal run to make it 7-0. After a 3 and out, the Trojans would get the ball back but take only 2 plays to score. First QB J. Scroggins would hit K. Prater on a 44 yd bomb and then find Heisman canidate Robert Woods for the 14 yd TD pass to make it 13-0 at the end of the 1st Quarter. (missed Pat)

BSU would open the 2nd Quarter getting on the scoreboard as Haas finds FR WR Matt Lykell from 15 yds out (13-7), but USC answers right back as Scroggins finds Woods again this time on a 29 yd pass play. (20-7) with 44 seconds left. Things got worse from there as Brent Moss fumbles the kickoff and USC picks up the loose ball taking it 33 yds for the score (27-7) with 36 seconds to play. After 2 failed run attempts, it looked like BSU was just going to let the half finish, but instead Coach Pete calls in a play and FR QB C. Haas delievers tossing a 65 yd bomb to set up a 37 yd FG by FR H. Hill with 1 second on the clock to make it 27-10 at the half.

USC would get the ball to start the 2nd half and their high scoring Offense was ready to keep on going. Scroggins would connect on his 3rd TD pass of the day hitting B. Butler from 16 yds out (34-10). BSU would answer back as Haas finds WR G. Hiwatt on a 45 yd bomb (34-17), but then it was USC answering back as Scroggins hits RB D. Baxter on a 4yd pass for the score (41-17). Down by 4 scores, BSU wouldn't give up. FR RB R. Howard broke loose and went 81 yds for the score, the Broncos then caught the Trojans sleeping getting the 2pt conversion as well to make it (41-25). But the Trojans Offense couldn't be stopped as Scroggins gets his 4th TD pass of the day hitting R. Woods from 2 yds out (his 3rd TD) to put USC back up 48-25 with 1:13 to play in the 3rd. Again BSU would answer back as Haas finds his fav targert M. Lykell on a 58 yd bomb to make it 48-32 going into the final quarter.
(Both teams combined to score 43 points in the 3rd Quarter )

Finally the Bronco "D" would make a appearence in the 4th Quarter when their team need them most forcing a punt. The Offense would deliver as Haas hits Lykell on a 13 yd TD pass (their 3rd of the day), but the 2pt play would fail (48-38) with 4 minutes to play. Again the "D" would get a huge stopped forcing a 3 and out and again Haas and Lykell would deliver with a 18 yd pass for the score (their 4th of the day, Haas 5th) to make it 48-45 with 1:07 to play. Not wanting to risk the chance to give BSU the ball back, USC would stay to the ground using Baxter to run out the clock, but again the "D" would deliver getting Haas the ball back with 21 seconds to play on the 12 yd line. Could the Freshman get the Hill in FG range or would he just deliver the game winning TD?

Haas would look for SR K. Moore on the slant play, but the ball was tipped forcing 2nd down with 15 seconds left. Haas would look for Lykell, but the Freshman had triple coverage and has to settle for a 13 yd pass play to C. Potter leaving just 8 seconds left. Coach Pete called it in, with 5 WR's on the field, the Broncos were going for it all. Haas would drop back, scramble looking for someone to get open, but the play would never develope as the Trojans "D" would step up just in time.
          FINAL SCORE USC-48 BSU-45

          KEY PLAYERS
          QB C. Haas-19/35 376 yds 5 TD 1 INT
          RB R. Howard-16 carries 198 yds (12.3 Avg) 1 TD
          WR M. Lykell-12 rec 238 yds 4 TD

          QB J. Scroggins-24/34 334 yds 5 TD
          RB D. Baxter-25 carries 129 yds (5.1 Avg), 2 rec 45 yds 1 TD
          WR R. Woods-6 rec 75 yds 3 TD

POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH PETE

"We played one of the best teams in the nation today, and we came up short. You have to give Coach Kiffin credit, he brought his team here with 1 thing on their mind and that was winning this game. I thought we made a great effort in the 2nd half to battle back as Haas and Lykell made some huge plays, but I really feel that getting behind early is what did us in. I got away from getting the ball to Howard which was my mistake. We should've never got into a shootout with them in the 3rd Quarter, but hey fans love to see Touchdowns. All we can do now is try and regroup and hope that a undefeated season in the MWC and a big win against Virginia Tech in Week 14 will be enough to get us back into the Top-10 and get a BSC Bowl Berth"

            WEEK 3

            (2-0) @ (1-0)

            GAME PREVIEW

THE EWU Eagles are off to a hot start, doing something they failed to do last year, winning games against BCS schools as they demolished Colorado in Week 1 and then squeeked out a Defensive Battle with Instate Rival Washington in Week 2. Now with the Evergreen Trophey on the line, EWU travels to Pullman to take on the hated WSU Cougars in "The Wulff Bowl".

Brandon Kauffman catching his 3rd TD of the year

            GAME RECAP

Once again Freshman RB D. Stewart made huge plays when his team needed them most, but for his efforts he never did find the endzone as he gave way to his fullbacks L. Crooks (1 yd run) and A. Wright (4yd run). Stewart would carry the ball 23 times for 155 yds (6.7 Avg) and the Defense would deliver 3 turnovers (including a INT by SS B. Lechtenberg his 2nd of the year, 9th of his career) as EWU dominated the Cougars for T.O.P (EWU-21:21, WSU-11:07)

            FINAL SCORE EWU-34 WSU-10

            KEY PLAYERS
            QB M. Wilson-14/30 253 yds 2 TD 1 INT

POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH BALDWIN

"This was a huge win for us and our fans. In the past 2 years the Wulff Bowl has been the game we circle on our schedule as a must win, so to be able to finally pull it off and get the "W" was huge for our program. Also taking home the Evergreen Trophy made it even sweeter.. I am really proud of the guys today. This was a total team effort on both sides of the ball. Even tough Stewart didn't get into the endzone today, he is still taking home the game ball."

Sounds like the game vs. USC was an **** one, nice comeback, but it sucks that you fell just short. Nice to EWU continue to play well!

With those #'s Lykell has not only caught the attetion of every Defense Coordintor in the nation, but also those of the voters, as fans flock to the voting booths in hopes of getting BSU their 1st ever Heisman Winner.

Thanks. The BSU loss was frustrating, but it happens. I just couldn't stop them. 3-3 on 4th Down is just flat out stupid on my part.

By the way Lykell is a beast. I am loving having him in a Bronco Uni.. and Coach Anderson has turned things around since opening the season with the loss to EWU.

                        Thanks again for following.

I am going to get ready to play Week 4.

Sorry about no Video's or game pics from Week 3, I was short on time and I am still trying to figure out how to get them saved to where they don't disappear after I download new videos for the following Weeks.

By the way Herbie Updates will be in Week 5. I didn't create any Herbies for this season being how there is already 20+ guys on teams.

I will however to a recruiting recap on how BSU and EWU are doing Week 10 which is both teams Bye Weeks.

HOWARD BREAKS INTO THE RECORD BOOK

                              GAME RECAP

When Coach Peterson got the call from Robertson Howard, he knew he hit the jackpot. For years Boise State had built a program around 3* Caliber kids that the big schools passed on and they played with chips on their shoulders showing those schools just what they missed. But with Howard it was different. This kid was the #1 Overall player in the nation and was labeled a future #1 NFL pick.

Well Howard showed why today as he carried the ball 14 times for 141 yds and 2 TD's in the 1st half to give BSU a 28-10 lead. Then in the 2nd half, he continued to destroy the BYU Defense as he carried the ball 22 more times for another 201 yds and 4 TD's breaking the Boise State school rushing record as well as the schools rushing TD record.

Howard wasn't the only Bronco to have a solid day. QB C. Haas finished the day 10/18 for 204 yds and 2 TD's and fellow FR WR M. Lykell continues to impress Heisman voters catching both TD's on 6 rec for 72 yds.

"What can I say it was a great day to be Robertson Howard. I have coached alot of years and have coached alot of very talented Running Backs, but Howard is the best and he showed it tonight. It was great to build a lead and let him just run the ball, and see the backup QB's get some action (J. Southwick 0/2 but K. Moore dropped a sure TD, and A. Carson 2/5 with 2 INT ). I really feel like we need this statement game after our loss last week"

WOW, that USC game was INTENSE! I kept thinking while I was reading...omg they are going to come back, but Scroggins never let up did he? What a freaking game, I would have loved to watched that one in person... I love those types of games. Can't believe the 70 game home streak came to a close, but at least it came in an ep!c game.

Nice blow out over BYU too, that was needed after the loss to USC. The top 25 was stirred up a bit, some big upset losses in there!
