I am going to post your team's top 5 players (inlcuding QB's, RB's WR's and Overall) as well as the current Offensive/Defensive Scheme you have going. Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)
WEEK 5 RECAP
BRONCOS CRUSH INSTATE RIVAL!!!
GAME RECAP
Once again the Broncos dominate their instate rival to the north leaving both schools wondering how much longer should they try and keep this rivalary game alive. It's been over 20 years since Idaho has give the Broncos a challenge and today would be no different.
BSU would take a commanding 24-0 lead but the big news was FR QB C. Haas leaving the game late in the 1st quarter with what appeared to be a leg injury. Backups QB J. Southwick and A. Carlson would both see action and throw their 1st TD's of the season.
The 3rd Quarter didn't see much action on the scoreboard as BSU removed most of it's starters after several late hits and cheap shots by Vandal Defenders, but Idaho did finally get on the scoreboard with a 40 yd FG to make it 27-3 going into 4th.
In the 4th Quarter it was 4th String QB RS FR D. Hill making the big play as he hooked up with Heisman Canidate M. Lykell on a 50 yd bomb with under a minute to play.. It was Lykell's 2nd TD of the game.
FINAL SCORE BSU-34 IDAHO-3
KEY PLAYERS
QB. C. Haas-7/15 112 yds 1 INT
QB-J. Southwick-2/4 56 yds 1 TD
QB-A. Carlson-4/8 95 yds 1 TD
QB D. Hill-2/4 57 yds 1 TD
RB R. Howard-27 carries 148 yds (5.4 Avg) 1 TD
RB M. Justice-4 carries 30 yds (7.5 Avg)
WR M. Lykell-8 rec 199 yds 2 TD
WR K. Moore-2 rec 71 yds 1 TD
Bronco D-5 Sacks, 9 TFL, Held Idaho to just 230 yds Total Offense
POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH PETE
"First let me say, Corey is going to be fine. It's just a leg bruise, but with the cheap shots Idaho was taking all day, we didn't want to take any chances, so it was great to see all 3 backup QB's get some action and show that they to can make plays. Matt Lykell continues to show he can make plays no matter who is getting him the ball, and Robertson Howard continues to prove to be one of the best if not the best RB's in the nation. With his 148 yds on the ground he has already surpassed the 1000yd mark in the first 5 games of the season."
EAGLES BATTLE REBELS TO THE WIRE!!!
GAME RECAP
RS FR T. Peoples would make his 1st career start ahead of True Freshman M. Wilson.
UNLV would get on the scoreboard 1st as RB B. Randle punches it in from 2 yds out, but T. Peoples would answer back with a 14 yd TD pass to B. Kauffman to tie the game 7-7.
In the 2nd Quarter, RB D. Steward gives EWU the lead with a 28 yd TD run, then after a Rebel turnover, Peoples again shows why he is in the starting lineup as he throws a 42 yd bomb to D. Puyer to make it 21-7 with 1:49 to play, but the Rebels were not ready to give up so easily as C. Herring connects on a 3yd pass to B. Babineaux with 44 seconds to play. (21-14). Then on the kickoff return, A. Carpenter would fumble the ball to set up a 34 yd FG by A. Wright to make it 21-17 going into the half.
Both teams would struggle to move the ball in the 3rd Quarter and EWU would be lucky to add a 36 yd FG by FR E. Lewis with 36 second to play to make it 24-17 going into the 4th.
Again both teams would fail to put together anyting on Offense in the 4th. After Peoples 2nd INT of the day, M. Wilson would replace him, only to throw a INT on a 3rd and 3 play with 1:31 to play, giving UNLV 1 more chance to tie the game and force Overtime, but the Eagles "D" was ready as A. Chandler made up for his 1st half fumble with the game sealing INT.
FINAL SCORE EWU-24 UNLV-17
KEY PLAYERS
QB T. Peoples-13/39 232 yds 2 TD 2 INT
QB M. Wilson 0/1 1 INT
RB D. Stewart-29 carries 128 yds (4.7 Avg) 1 TD
WR B. Kauffman-7 rec 126 yds 1 TD
WR D. Puyear-2 rec 51 ys 1 TD
QB C. Herring-13/29 184 yds 1 TD 2 INT
RB B. Randle-22 carries 68 yds 1 TD 3 rec 39 yds
POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH BALDWIN
"I thought that T. Peoples started out well in his 1st start, but struggled in the 2nd half, having not ever played a full game in college. We will continue to evaluate both QB's as well as 3rd string B. James in practice this week. I think it's pretty evident that our Offense is based around the success of RB D. Stewart and he continues to show he has the ability to carry the team (for the season 127 carries 774 yds 6 TD).
I would really love to see another WR step up and take some of the pressure off of B. Kauffman. Right now he has 37 rec's compared to our next hightest is N. Edwards with 11, and he has 4 of our 6 recieving TD's.
I felt the "D" played great today they really stepped up when we need big plays and delivered. You can't ask for much more then a 2nd half shutout."

I got Week 6 in the books and am working in getting Herbie Stats up, however my wife is going out of town Friday for 4 days, so I am not sure how much posting and playing I will get in before then, but during those 4 days expect non-stop playing and posting when I am not at work which is every day, thus the reason I am not going with herComment

Post your Coaches Info on my Caps thread.
In Week 15, I will post what teams are looking for a new coach. I plan on dumping some of the current guys who are not following, so their teams could be available too, and for those still following if they show atleast a 3 win improvement over last year, or in Coach Anderson's case take Coloraod to another bowl game, then they will have a chance to move up to a bigger and better school.Comment

Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)
GAME RECAP
FR RB Robertson Howard dominated the Wolfpack Defense as he rushed for 150 yds and 3 TD's in the 1st half. Howard wasn't the only Bronco to have a good day in the 1st half though as FR QB Corey Haas kept the ball on a option play scrambling 72 yds down the sideline for a huge score with 2 minutes to play in the half. Then after a fumble recoving by the Bronco "D" 20 seconds later Haas found his favorite target in Matt Lykell for a 53 yd TD bomb, as Boise State took a commanding 35-7 lead at the half.
Howard started out the 2nd half with a monster run going 42 yds for the score, but that would be it for the #1 Rusher in the country, as the star Freshman was forced from the game in the middle of the 3rd Quarter with a torn pectorial. Howard wasn't the only Bronco to leave the game to a injury as RS JR WR Kirby Moore was also forced to leave the action with the same injury.
Not taking any more chances, Coach Pete put in the 2nd and 3rd String for the entire 4th Quarter as Broncos demolished the Wolfpack.
FINAL SCORE BSU-49 NEVADA-21
KEY PLAYERS
QB C. Haas-14/26 249 yds 1 TD, 7 carries 52 yds 1 TD
RB R. Howard-26 carries 197 yds (7.5 Avg) 4 TD's
RB M. Kaiserman-6 carries 46 yds (7.6 Avg)
RB M. Justice-3 carries (7.0 Avg) 1 TD
WR M. Lykell-7 rec 143 yds 1 TD
WR K. Moore-4 rec 65 yds
POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH PETE
"Today our team was hit by 2 devasting injuries. I have talked to the trainers and they have confirmed both are torn pectorials, Kirby's injury is slighty worse and is expected to miss the next 10 weeks, well Robertson is expected to miss the next 8 weeks. This is a huge blow to our team, our Offense and to both players. Obviously our goal now is to make sure that we do our best to keep winning games and hope that both players will be able to return and help us win a bowl game.
At this point SR Matt Kaiserman (27 carries 179 yds (6.9 Avg) 4 TD's will take over duties as the #1 Back and RS FR Matrin Justice (8 carries 67 yds (8.4 Avg) 2 TD's will serve as the #2 with backup FB Jason Bell sliding into the #3 spot and could serve as our goaline back.
We will continue to move Matt over the entire field looking to get him his catches, but this is obviously a chance for FR E. Bray to step up and make more plays replacing Kirby in the starting lineup. I also expect slot WR's C. Potter and M. Burroughs as well as Soph's G. Hwiatt and T. Ware to make more plays as well. Our depth at WR will carry us through."

Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)
WEEK 6 RECAP
STEWART CONTINUES TO CARRY THE LOAD
GAME RECAP
Freshman M. Wilson started the game at QB, but lasted just 2 series before being pulled in favor of RS FR T. Peoples after throwing a INT and completing just 2/10 passes as EWU clung to a 7-6 lead after the 1st Quarter on a 2yd TD run by FR D. Stewart.
In the 2nd Quarter it was again Stewart scoring on the ground (6 yd) to give EWU a 14-6 lead. NMU would answer back as RB K. Carrier scores on a 48 yd run. The Lobo's would go for the 2pt to tie, but fail and with 1:31 to play EWU would have a chance to extend the lead. Stewart would break off a 75 yd run to help set up a Todd Peoples TD pass. Peoples would hit backup TE M. Scott from 14 yds out to give EWU the 21-12 lead at the half.
In the 2nd half Peoples would fail to connect on 3rd down 4 times forcing EWU to punt. The Defense would hold though keeping the Lobo's out of the endzone as the score remained 21-12 going into the 4th.
Again Peoples would struggle as the QB would complete just 8 of 22 passes before being pulled in favor of 3rd string QB B. James. James playing time would be short lived though as the RS FR would toss a INT on his 2nd pass attempt setting up a 45 yd FG by New Mexico with 5:23 to play (21-15). Knowing that they need to keep the ball as long as possible, Coach Baldwin made a bold move inserting FR C. Todd, (thus removing his redshirt). The FR would look sharp completing 3/4 passes to help the Lobos from loading the box to stop RB D. Stewart. The plan worked to perfection as EWU held the ball until 10 seconds to play before giving way to a 32 yd FG by FR E. Lewis that would miss wide left. The Lobos out of timeouts would have just 1 chance for a win, but DE J. Ceja would come up huge recording his 3rd sack of the day to end the game.
FINAL SCORE EWU-21 UNM-15
KEY PLAYERS
QB T. Peoples 8/22 120 yds 1 TD
QB C. Todd- 3/4 43 yds
QB M. Wilson and B. James-1 INT each.
RB D. Stewart-24 carries 173 yds (7.2 Avg) 2 TD
RB D. Johnson-10 carries 35 yds (3.5 Avg)
WR B. Kauffman-5 rec 97 yds
WR N. Edwards-3 rec 74 yds
TE M. Scott-2 rec 21 yds 1 TD
DE J. Ceja-9 Tackles (7 TFL) 3 sacks
POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH BALDWIN
"It was a tough decision to pull the Redshirt from QB C. Todd, but I have ben uninspired by the play of FR M. Wilson and RS FR T. Peoples and felt it was in the team's best interest to try and remain undefeated and earn a bowl bid, that we need to make a change at QB. I hope Todd will be the answer to what we are looking for. Of the 4 QB's on our roster he has the strongest arm and has shown he can make the right throws playing as our Scout team QB this year.
Obviously our Offense will continue to be ran through RB D. Stewart. When Tajuan Jones left EWU, I never thought I would see a RB carry the team like he did, but so far Stewart has surprised everyone on campus with his hard run ability. I also have to give the O-Line credit, They might not be the most highly rated unit, but they have done a excellent job of protecting our QB and opening huge holes for our RB's to run through.
I can't give the Defensive Unit enough credit either. They make plays when we need it and JR J. Ceja has turned it on these past couple of games and is giving us the pass rushing DE that we have grown acustom to having the past 2 years."

Obviously the big winners so far are the guy's who chose to go to Boise State. They are all starters and putting up huge #'s well the rest of the Herbies are struggling to find any PT being buried on their teams depth charts. QB Tyler Drake has impressed so far at Florida and should be a solid option for the Gators next year and Tyler Stumvoll made some noise when he choose Cal, but so far he has posted the best #'s outside of the BSU Trio.
I will update Page 1 with the season stats, but will do another Mid Season Stat update after Week 13.Last edited by Deuce2223; 02-18-2011, 01:25 AM.Comment
