    (1-1) @ (1-1)

    GAME RECAP

Oregon State would jump out to a early 14-0 lead in the 1st Quarter as WR M. Wheaton scored 2 TD's (31 yd and 89 yd) from QB R. Katz.

Katz then hit's RB Jacquez Rodgers on TD pass's from 15 yds and 12 yds to make it 28-0. Bo Levi Mitchell would finalley get EWU on the scoreboard hitting G. Herd on a 59 yd pass down the sideline as the Eagles go into the locker trailing 28-7.

The Eagles "D" would step up in the 3rd Quarter picking off Katz and keeping the Beavers off thes scoreboard and Mitchell would connect on a 3 yrd pass to WR B. Kauffman to make it 28-14 going into the 4th.

Turnovers plagued the Eagles in the 4th. RB Tawain Jones fumbled a punt return, as OSU recovers and returns it 38 yds for the score, then on the next play Mitchell throws a "Pick 6" that is returned 43 yds for the score to make it (42-14) with 6:54 to play. Not ready to give up the Eagles fight back as RB Tawain Jones scores from 21 yds out and 1 yd out to make it (42-28) with 3:56 to play. After forcing a punt, EWU woudl take the ball over on the 6 yd line. Having already thrown for 400 yds, Mitchell would drop back looking to make something happen but instead would be sacked in the endzone for a saftey (44-28). OSU would look to run out the clock with Rodgers but instead he would break through the line and go 33 yd for the score. OSU would miss the PAT but it was 50-28 with 1:32 to play. Again Mitchell would look to take his team down field to make it somewhat respectable, but another turnover (fumble) would kill the drive and with 21 seconds to play OSU would add a 28 yd FG as they pickup the blowout win.

    FINAL SCORE EWU-28 OSU-53

POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH BALDWIN

"It's disappointing, but we can't dwell on the past, we have a big matchup in Seattle against the Huskies next week and right now our focus needs to be on them. If we want this program to keep taking steps in the right direction, going 0-3 against the Pac-10 and 0-2 against instate schools isn't going to work."

Notes-B. Levi Mitchell is currently 3rd in the NCAA with 1022 yds passing (K. Moore is 1st with 1403 yds). RB T. Jones currently lead the nation in rushing with 608 yds and has scored 9 TD's in 3 games and WR B. Kauffman lead the nation in Recieving with 24 catches for 576 yds and 6 TD's. Pretty good stats for being a 1-2 team.

Tough loss, but it's to be expected for a little while, once they get their feet wet a little bit, the Eagles should have a good shot to start competing.

I've also heard that getting invited to a BCS conference is kind of random after a while. It might be easier because Boise is probably a 6* prestige now.

Yeah. I heard some guys will save right after the National Title game and just keep reloading until they get a invite. If I don't get a invite by Year 4, I might consider trying this.

The conference moves do seem to be random. I got an invite to the Big 12 after my 5th season @ SMU. The success I had was marginal winning one CUSA title and 2 bowl games during that 5 year span. The year I was invited I had 7 wins and finished 3rd in CUSA. I was very surprised to see an offer to replace Baylor after that season.

Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)

My Big East invite was right after my 2nd season - winning the National Championship. My first year I finished with a winning season and a bowl win but did not win the C-USA. I believe I was a 4* program when given the invite.

That was the first Big East invite I ever received (I always wanted to move to that conference since WVU was there). Usually, after 2-3 seasons, if I had at least 9 wins, I would get an invite to the ACC. Very rarely would I NOT get the invite when having winning seasons.

Something else to consider... I was always getting invites to a conference that replaced a team that had a terrible conference record... winning 0-2 games in their conference. I assume this plays a factor in getting an invite as well.

tough lost for coach holland, and for the conference switches, continue to schedule games against weak pac 10 teams like washington state. schedule them every year and other weak pac 10 schools. eventually, when ur prestige is way higher then them, the conference will switch sometime it takes 2 years, some time 10. its really random. i got mines after 1 NC and 4 undefeated season with BSU.

I rather keep WSU in the Pac-10, so that's why I scheduled Arizona, but I guess if WSU does move down at least it would just be to the MWC.

Deuce, is it too late to sign up as a coach? I must have missed that part of this dynasty when it got started. If so, it's not a big deal.

I love the idea, though. You never cease to come up with genius ideas for dynasties.

Nope go ahead and create your coach, in the Caps thread. I am going to add 5 more coaches for next year. I think right now there are 2 guys in the wings, so you would be the 3rd.

At the end of the year, I will post what teams are available in the thread and have you pick what team you want.

2-1 for Coach McCloud. Sweetness. Pretty sure ECU only had 2 wins all of last season.

Edit: Looks like ECU went 3-9 last season.
