Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)
So I spent 45 minutes typing up the Recruiting Recap, only to have my power go out and I hadn't saved my document.
I am going to take a break and come back and retype after I play my Week 5 game with EWU. Very frustrating at myself and the stupid power company right now.Comment

Yeah I have issues with our electricity. We lost our dryer and my wife didn't realize that the outlet was on the same as the TV.
I totally understand being busy. I was gone for a Week at Christmas too.Comment

I always have auto-save on when I type documents for that EXACT reason. Got tired of it happening. After a break you'll be fine though, like I always am.Comment

Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)
Sorry for the lack of updates. I plan to get the Recruting Recap reposted tonight, probably will be to busy watching the National Championship game tomorrow, but will get game recaps up Tues/Wed on my days off.
The last couple of days have been a roller coaster for me sports wise.
EWU won the FCS National Championship, Seahawks beat the Saints.
but then BSU lost O-Coorinator B.Harsin to Texas (taking over as Co-Offensive Coordinator with Major Applewhite) and then lost WR/TE B. Pease to Indiana where he will take over as the new Offensive Coordinator.
and now Coach Pete has a major decision to make (go to Stanford) or stay and rebuild his staff.
(I feel 99% sure he is staying, because if he was going to leave then I don't think Harsin would've left for Texas, because he is the heir apparent to take over BSU when and if Coach Pete leaves)
On a side note, I wonder if Coach Hawkins would/could make a return to BSU to take over th Offense.Comment

Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)
Looking forward to the game recaps later this week. Keep on rolling with Boise State. Any tough games left? Tough going for EWU though. Building teams up is always tough. Should be able to pick up some wins during WAC play.Comment

Re: 2 Teams=2 Dreams (BSU and EWU Quest for Perfection)
BSU still has to play Fresno State but they are 0-5, Nevada and BYU both 3-2, and Hawaii 4-1. Nevada and BYU are at home on "The Blue" well Hawaii and Fresno are home games. Then we have a non-conference game against #13 Cincinnati in Week 15 in a rematch of last year's title game.
EWU just has the WAC schedule remaining which includes 0-4 New Mexico State, 0-4 San Jose State but also has 3-1 Idaho and 3-1 Colorado State. Last year CSU was the WAC Champs.Comment

RECRUITING UPDATE
BOISE STATE LANDS #1 OVERALL !!!
Going into the season, Coach Pete knew he had to find starting HB. With SR's Doug Martin and DJ Harper preparing to graduate the depth chart would be RS JR M. Kaiserman (77 Overall) and RS FR M. Justice (69 Overall).
Well he got not only the Top-rated HB but also the #1 Overall Player in the nation.
5'11 207 lb Robertson Howard-Las Vegas Nevada (Dynasty Josh)
Coach Pete "We are extremely excited to be able to land a player of Howard's caliber. Obviously the past success we have had with our RB's (Brock Forsey, Ian Johnson, J. Avery, and D. Martin) have helped in the recruiting pitches for him as well as the fact he would be handed the starting job Day 1 for a team looking to build on the past success of a National Title."
HOWARD ALSO HAD SCHOLARSHIP OFFERS TO USC AND OHIO STATE.

Athlons Recruiting Bio
"Howard reminds us of a Mark Ingram type back or in this case current Bronco Doug Martin, He doesn't have that 1st gear that will allow him to run away from defenders, instead he has the strength and ability to run over and through defenders. If BSU decides to switch to more of a power running Offense, Howard could put up 2000+ yds and score 20+ TD's. "
BRONCOS SIGN 4* TACKLE
Howard wasn't the only early signing for the Broncos. After winning a National Title and having the type of success that BSU has had for the past 10+ years, players from around the nation have started taking a hard look at Boise State and again past success of O-Lineman playing in the NFL, (D. College-Green Bay and R. Clady-Denver) has given BSU the ability to land solid O-Line including future NFL prosepct and current Left Tackle Nate Potter. Now BSU has signed another future starting Left Tackle and possible future NFL pick.
6'7 321 lb Roger Beck-Clayton North Carolina
Athlons Bio
"Beck is a huge kid at 6'7 300+ and is a solid Run Blocker. I expect him to be a great fit and I am sure his signing put a smile on Robertson Howard's face. Rated the #82 Overall Player and #8 Tackle, Beck will have a solid career in Boise."

COACH BALDWIN LANDS FIRST RECRUIT OF 2011 SEASON
Coming off a 9-4 season with a Bowl win over Missouri, players have started to take notice of EWU. Coach Baldwin currently has 16 playes who have EWU listed as their #1 school and 4 more who have them listed #2.
However in Week 1 he struck gold landing a future starter on the D-Line. A 3* #90 Rated #DT
6'2 289 lbs David Roberson-Manteca CA
ATHLONS BIO
"Roberson has the size all D-Line Coaches are looking for. EWU's current starters JR E. Cook (67) and N. Stewart (62) will be around for the 2012 season, but Roberson will challenge current RS FR's W. Katoa (56), S. Matthews (55) and M. Peterson (53) for a starting job in 2013."
