DOLPHINS STOMPED BY PATRIOTS IN SEASON FINALE
The Miami Dolphins ended their season with a 33-13 loss against the New England Patriots. The Fins couldn’t get anything going offensively or defensively. They allowed 381 yards of total offense on defense. Strong Safety Jimmy Blade again led the team in tackles with 8. He also had a pass deflection and picked off a Tom Brady pass. Blade ends the season leading the team in interceptions with 5.
Ryan Tannehill struggled in his 2nd game as a starter, completing less than 50% of his passes. The Patriots were able to apply constant pressure by rushing just 4 and sometimes 3 defensive players, this allowed them to drop more guys back into coverage to shut down the passing game. Although Tannehill struggled he did throw another touchdown pass and didn’t throw any interceptions in his two games as a starter.
