      WEEK SEVEN RESULTS

      ....

      Seattle Seahawks (6-1)
      VS.
      ARIZONA CARDINALS (0-7)

      CARDS LET ONE SLIP AWAY
LAST MINUTES FUMBLE DROPS CARDINALS TO 0-7

Sherman picks off Stanton / Ryan Williams scores a td before leaving with a leg injury

Once again the Cardinals were so close to getting their first win of the season. And once again a turnover is why they remain winless on the season. A late fumble by Rashard Mendenhall sealed the 26-21 victory for the Seattle Seahawks.

Many expected the Seahawks to blow the Cardinals out the water but the Cards went blow for blow with the top rank offense in the league. With mediocre game from Drew Stanton, the Cards running game and defense kept them in it. Ryan Williams eclipsed 100 yards again with 2 touchdowns but left the game with a knee injury late in the 3rd quarter. On the defensive side, the Crads sacks Russell Wilson 3 times and MLB Daryl Washington got an interception and turned it into a pick six in the 2nd quarter.

Besides the sacks and int, Wilson had a very nice outing. The 2nd year QB completed 24-40 passes for 318 yards and 2 touchdowns. Those two scores were to Sidney Rice and Golden Tate.

The Cardinals will take on the Atlanta Falcons in their next game, still in search of that first win.

CARDS GET FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON AGAINST FALCONS

Lindley replaced an injured Statnton and threw the game winning td / John Abraham takes down Matt Rayn and Steven Jackson

Fans in Arizona can finally give a sigh of relief as their Cardinals won't be going 0-16. Behind 3 rushing touchdowns from newly acquired Chris Polk and 2 touchdowns from their defense, the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Atlanta Falcons 45-38 on Sunday.

Experts predicted another loss for the Cardinals but Bruce Arians team had other things in mind. The Cards jumoed out to an early 14-7 lead after the first quarter. Both scores came from Polk, who was picked up by the Cards after Ryan Williams suffered a partial ACL tear. Thefans were given a treat in the 2nd quarter when the two teams went into a touchdown dual. A total of 6 touchdowns were scored in the 2nd with both teams answering each other back to back to back.

Falcons QB Matt Ryan threw for a season high 5 touchdowns but he also threw 3 interceptions, in which 2 were returned by Javier Arenas and Karlos Dansby. Ryan hooked uo with Harry Douglas on his final touchdown to give the Falcons a 38-35 lead.

After loosing Drew Stanton to a quad injury, Ryan Lindley stepped in and help lead an impressive drive. Behind the legs of Polk and Mendenhall, the Card drove into the Falcons territory. Lindley found Jim Dray on a play action for a wide open touchdown to put the Cards up 42-38. The defense came up with a sack on 3rd down to force a Falcons punt. Once again the Cards used their running attack to chew to clock down ending the drive with a jay Feely fioeld goal to make it a 7 point game. Ryan had one more chance to force the game into overtime but he threw his 3rd int right into the hand of Patrick Peterson to end the game.

The Cardinals will now head into their bye week feeling a little better about themselves.

CARDS FALL TO 1-9 ON THE SEASON

Peterson waltz into the end zone after his kick return td / Honey Badger does the same after his punt return

In a matchup of two of the worse teams in the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars were able to take down the Arizona Cardinals in the 2013 Toilet Bowl.

The Cardinals jumped out to an early 14-0 lead with a kick and punt reurn for touchodwns by Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Matheiu. And those two scores were pretty much the highlight for the Cardinals. They once again got a sub par performance from QB Drew Staton. The vet finished with 235 yards on 16-40 passing with1 touchdown and 3 more interceptions. The Crads didnt get much from the running game eithr finishing with 103 yards on the ground.

Maurice Jones-Drew, like almost every other back that has faced the Cardinals this year, slashed and gashed the cards defense finishing with 194 yards and 1 touchdown in the victory. Blaine Gabbert threw for a season high 3 touchdowns but he did have 2 interceptions. The Jaguars were able to outgain the Cardinals 482-322 in offensive yards.
