2024 - Week 5 - #1 Iowa at #19 Tennessee
Sad site note, at least for me, I had this up and running like I normally did all day today with my ElGato plugged into my PC and an extra monitor in addition to the TV... Started up working like nothing had ever been wrong. AAAAAAAND today, it doesn't work at all. lmao. I've been trouble shooting the thing for ages today. The fun with these old systems and old el gatos and slightly old computers is never ending.Last edited by Hellisan; 05-25-2025, 03:22 PM.👍 3Comment

At first I thought "oh no, the running game didn't get going" but then I realized that the 141 yards were distributed amongst 5+ guys and the Hawkeyes ran plenty well, there just isn't a true legend back there like the last few seasons.
And Rutgers ranked 8 - what's the world coming to??The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.
?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.Comment

Week 6 - Iowa travel to Minneapolis to fight for the Floyd of Rosedale
In a game with some interesting matchups, quarterback Joshua Mack and company will head to the still relatively new stadium near downtown Minneapolis that houses the Golden Gophers.
This is an interesting one as far as talent and matchups, with the Golden Gophers having very similar talent overall. Both teams are a little weaker than they'd like to be in the trenches, and then there are key differences that offset at other positions. Iowa have a wide receiver they rely on heavily. Minnesota have three, maybe four, that Iowa would love to have. However, the Iowa cornerbacks include two elite players, whereas the Golden Gophers are just solid there.
Iowa will have to be careful they don't get chewed up by the intermediate and interior passing game, and that's where middle linebackers Brandon Butler and Dez Dillon (five interceptions last year) will need to hold their own, and hope that slot corner Ty Veney is on his game. They'll also need their blitzers and the interior of the defensive line to provide a pass rush.
Don't be surprised if Clark calls plenty of running plays in this game. The Hawkeyes' most talented running back, Shakur Becton, returns from injury and when he's at his best, he's difficult to stop. After coming in as a big-time recruit, Becton has had a star-crossed career, missing a lot of time due to injuries and suspensions and has 647 yards on 127 carries, and 6 touchdowns, in his career. According to Coach Clark, it was just this past offseason that his skills took a huge jump, so now it's time for him to see if he can translate those skills into on-field production.
Toward that end, Clark has made some changes on the offensive line that should put the team more in an attacking, run block state of mind, while they will have the option of putting players such as Josh Hart and Richard Stinson back into the starting lineup if things look too poorly on the pass block front. Iowa native Tarvais Whalen and Ohio native Gavin Vonseggern will get the chance to make a difference along the interior in this game.
Clark has only failed once against Minnesota to come away with the fabled Floyd of Rosedale, all the way back in 2018, and he won't want to make this his second time.Last edited by Hellisan; 05-25-2025, 01:31 AM.Comment
