seems like you can use scrimmage on guys you developed on other drills too, so you can "double dip"

Notes
Clearly the pass game has improved with Devin Hester in at the WR2 slot. I may want to pay attention to this come draft time and look at some speed-demon WRs, maybe a big play TE as well.
Andre Ellington looked to come alive last week, and I am hoping that against our division rival we can end the year with a W against the #1 Offense. Its #1 vs the #3 Offense this week - only real difference is that the Broncos are the #12 Defense -- we're #30 -__-
Contract Negotiations
- Stefen Wisniewski - C - 89 Overall (Age: 25)
I definitely want this guy. He is an anchor on our offensive line and is one of the main reasons we posted the #3 Offense this season with the #2 Rushing attack. He is young, and is clearly one of the best centers in the NFL and is only going to get better from here. I will do whatever it takes to keep him.Injuries- Desired Contract: 5 Years / $38.6M

A huge blowout loss in Denver for us today, and this one was a heartbreaker just because of how many bad plays there were by the receiving core today.
Derek Carr had a below average day, only able to throw for 197 yards and 1 TD with 2 INTs, but had 14 incompletions, many of them were drops. Devin Hester was an absolute man-beast today, recording 6 catches for 127 yards and a score, which was on a perfect 1st and 10 from the 20 after a touchback that absolutely caught the defense off-guard. He actually could have had 2 of these catches but the first time I ran the play-action play Carr was sacked right as I saw Hester was open by about 15 yards. Andre Ellington had another pedestrian game and seems to have run out of steam at the last quarter of the season - something I definitely have to work on in the off-season.
The Defense got shredded; what else was going to happen? The #1 Offense vs the #30 Defense. Peyton Manning absolutely desecrated us, throwing only 5 incompletions (30/35) for 368 yards and 4 scores with 0 turnovers. His biggest target today was Demaryius Thomas who made Tarell Brown look absolutely silly in coverage today, catching a game-high 10 balls for 147 yards and 3 TDs. I couldn't stop Peyton with any kind of defense that I put up, zone, zone blitz, man, man blitz, mixed... nothing worked. Monte Ball also had a very productive day, rushing for 91 yards on 23 carries but did not find the end zone.

Well its over. My first season as a Head Coach is done, and at 6-10 I am none too pleased at our final record. We could have finished way above where we ended, but thanks to the abysmal start of the season we started in an 0-6 hole, so if I wanted to take a positive from this year it is that we did go on a hell of a run mid-season and posted the #2 Rushing Offense.

Re: Rebuilding the Raiders, Restoring Glory to the Black Hole - M15 (Custom All-Madde
Off-Season
Part 3 - Free Agency
I need to resign a LOT of players.. I lost quite a few players from the Re-Signing period.
Team Needs: WR, TE, LG, RT, LE, DT, MLB, CB, FS, K, P
I definitely could use an upgrade at many other positions but those are my desperate needs. However, I will sign quite a few players through Free Agency just to get a big boost to my team.
The Battle for a Top WR
- Randall Cobb - WR - 90 OVR (Age: 25)
- Desired Contract: 5 Years, $23.4M Salary + $8.45M Bonus
- Bidding Teams: Eagles, Steelers, Chargers
- My Offer: 5 Years, $32M Salary + $9.5M Bonus -- ACCEPTED
- Pierre Garcon - WR - 89 OVR (Age: 29)
- Desired Contract: 5 Years, $30M Salary + $9M Bonus
- Bidding Teams: Broncos, Eagles, Panthers
- My Offer: 5 Years, $30M Salary + $9M Bonus -- REJECTED (went to Buffalo)
- Wes Welker - WR - 92 OVR (Age: 34)
- Desired Contract: 3 Years, $18.5M Salary + $6.33M Bonus
- Bidding Teams: none
- My Offer: 3 Years, $18M Salary + $6.33M Bonus -- REJECTED (went to Dallas)
I definitely need a top WR, the top 3 available are Wes Welker, Randall Cobb, and Pierre Garcon.. I would LOVE to land Cobb but he has a ton of teams after him, and my second choice in Garcon has quite a few offers from better teams as well. Both of these guys just want to win championships so the Raiders really aren't a top destination for their talents. Thanks to nobody wanting an old man in Welker, I think I can get him for 3 years and get the best possible WR.
- Marshall Newhouse - LT - 70 OVR (Age: 26)
- Desired Contract: 2 Years, $1.6M Salary + $60k Bonus
- Bidding Teams: none
- My Offer: 2 Years, $1.5M + $100k Bonus -- ACCEPTED
- Carl Nicks - LG - 83 OVR (Age: 30)

- Bidding Teams: none
- My Offer: 4 Years, $16M Salary + $5.5M Bonus -- ACCEPTED
- Tramon Williams - CB - 88 OVR (Age: 32)
- Desired Contract: 1 Year, $4.84M Salary + $1.87M Bonus
- Bidding Teams: none
- My Offer: 1 Year, $4.75M Salary + $1.75M Bonus -- ACCEPTED
- Kendrick Lewis - FS - 79 OVR (Age: 27)

- Bidding Teams: none
- My Offer: 7 Years, $15.75M Salary + $8M Bonus -- ACCEPTED
I got my man. I got Randall Cobb. I was surprised as hell because I was going after Welker after unsuccessfully attempting to get into the top-3 for both Cobb and Garcon (the other teams that were bidding on them were much more impressive) and 0 teams were bidding on Welker. After 3 weeks of negotiations, I looked at the available players and noticed the Randall Cobb had 0 bidding teams; he rejected every single offer. So I sent him an offer and was the top team listed for him, and lowered my Welker offer (he was also being approached by Dallas) and ended up signing Cobb and Welker rejected my offer and went to the Lone Star state.
I am also very happy that I got Marquette King back as I really believe he is going to be the best Punter in the NFL by the end of next season. With these signings I need to have a good draft and I think we will be poised for a run at the playoffs for the 2015 season.Comment

Off-Season
Part 4 - Pre-Draft
After building Scouting Points over the last few weeks of the off-season I am definitely able to scout a few players a little more intimately. I will be able to scout Hadley's Development rating right now and hopefully he is a Star.
Draft Stories & Scouting
Team Needs: QB, WR, LG, RG, RT, LE, RE, MLB, CB, FS, K
Scouting Points: 845
- MVP Catch: Rodriguez Dawkins comes from the All-Star game with the MVP, after making 14 catches for almost 200 yards.
- "Rodriguez Dawkins caught anything and everything thrown his way. Top to bottom the most talented athlete in this draft." - Todd McShay
- Late Invitation: A last minute addition to the All-Star game, Texas A&M MLB Agnes Hadley made a strong case for being drafted after a great performance.
- "A league source told me that All-Star rosters have expanded this year, leading to guys like Hadley to be late additions." - Adam Schefter
- All-Star Embarassment: FS Rodney Strong looked foolish when a receiver caught a TD pass right over his head.
- "I think Rodney Strong has the ability, he just needs to mature a little and stop going for the interception every time." - Matt Miller
- All Star QB Battles: Two top-tier QBs faced off at the All-Star game, but in the end, Kenneth Burton had the better game.
- "Rowland looked the lesser of the 2 QBs but you can't blame him entirely, he didn't get a lot of help from the team." - Skip Bayless
- Needs Technique Work: LB Curtis Grove looked athletic in his Pro Day workout, but needs to work on his technique instead of depending on raw ability.
- "If Curtis Grove doesn't work on his technique, he's going to be locked up by lineman all game." - Mark Schlereth
- "If Curtis Grove doesn't work on his technique, he's going to be locked up by lineman all game." - Mark Schlereth
- Health Concerns at Combine: RE Kason Holmes was held back from drills at the Combine after he failed the medical examinations.
- "After getting a few medical opinions, I'm pretty sure Kason Holmes' operation isn't major and he should be 100% shortly." - Robert Flores
- "After getting a few medical opinions, I'm pretty sure Kason Holmes' operation isn't major and he should be 100% shortly." - Robert Flores
Definitely a great thing when my MLB choice in Agnes Hadley gets mentioned positively! He will be the player I scout further and scout his Development rating because I am over 500 points.
Players Scouted

Trade Offer
I got a trade offer from Gabe Jackson (LG).. Maybe I can secure a few draft picks because I did pick up Carl Nicks in Free Agency, so he is expendable. Most of the offers are for 1 or 2 draft picks - its either a 4th Round pick for this years draft, or a 4th round pick for this year and a 7th round pick for next year's draft.
- Tennessee Titans Offer - ACCEPTED
- Send: Gabe Jackson (LG)
- Receive: 2015 5th Round Pick and 2016 7th Round Pick
Draft
Team Needs: QB, RB, WR, TE, LG, RT, LE, RE, DT, LOLB, MLB, CB, K -- Going into the draft my main concerns are filling up the positions I need, but my main concerns are on the defensive side of the ball.
Top 10 Selections
1) Houston Texans: Frankie Berry - TE
2) Chicago Bears: Jaelin Patton - CB
There is my top guy, unfortunately he is going to be on the Bears this year. But no worries, I will look deeper into the pool for talent at the CB position.
3) Minnesota Vikings: Jesse Perez - LE
4) Tampa Bay Buchaneers: Corwin Smith - DT
5) Tennessee Titans: Vondree Duncan - QB
6) Cleveland Browns (from Carolina Panthers): Sterlin Calwell - RE
7) Arizona Cardinals: Boris Neal - QB
8) Washington Redskins (from Oakland Raiders): Khrystian Ball - CB
Unfortunately this trade backfired on me as they took the next corner on my list, but no worries, there are still 2 corners available who are first round talent that should fall to my next pick.
9) Dallas Cowboys: Jorvante Burton - DT
10) Atlanta Falcons: Ryne Chapman - RE
Draft Day Trades
- Trade #1
- Cleveland Gives: 2015 1st Round (#20), 2nd and 4th Round Picks
- Carolina Gives: 2015 1st Round (#6) Pick
- Trade #2**
- Oakland Gives: 2015 1st Round (#8) Pick
- Washington Gives: 2015 1st Round (#21), 2nd and 4th Round Picks
I made this trade because Jaelin Patton was off the board and there was nobody that really screamed to be picked right then. And I believed that Khrystian Ball would drop to my #19 pick.
- Trade #3**
- Oakland Gives: Rod Streater (WR - 80 OVR) and 2015 3rd Round Pick
- St. Louis Gives: 2015 2nd Round Pick, 2016 1st and 2nd Round Picks
I wanted to trade down from my #21 pick. To be honest, there was nobody shining at that pick either at any position that I needed. However, trying to find a good offer for the pick wasn't as easy to come by like before. I went to the Rams who I believe will be bad next year and yield a high pick.
I was going to trade off the pick for 2 or 3 high end picks, but they wouldn't take the offer I sent them. That is when I noticed they desperately needed a WR and I was able to unload one thanks to my signing of Randall Cobb. This trade worked out in so many ways for me, and I got a great deal. I get my stock of picks, and didn't have to give up my #21 pick

Rookie Signings
- Anges Hadley - MLB - 76 Overall
- Will be an instant starter at the Middle Linebacker position. He has good zone coverage skills and has absolutely MONSTER Pursuit skills with above average speed; will be a monster against the run and defending the pass over the middle.
- Segwick Clarke - RE - 77 Overall
- Was only looking for a backup for Lamaar Woodley but I may have a legitimate battle for the position between the rookie and the veteran. Will be a power move rusher and has good enough speed to track down most QBs in the league.
- Jamerius Harrison - HB - 77 Overall
- Will only be the backup for Andre Ellington but he will be used as my passing back and be in the Darren McFadden role - but has very solid speed numbers and is good with catching the ball too.
- Shredrick Lunsford - CB - 66 Overall
- Is a very quick corner and has above average coverage skills in both man and zone.
- Is a very quick corner and has above average coverage skills in both man and zone.
- Daryl Keith - WR - 62 Overall
- Extremely quick and has good size to boot, he should be a solid receiver to play as my Return Specialist but not as good as my later WR selection in KeJuan Roberts.
- Extremely quick and has good size to boot, he should be a solid receiver to play as my Return Specialist but not as good as my later WR selection in KeJuan Roberts.
- Prince Doolittle - DT - 66 Overall
- Needed to bring someone in to back up starter Antonio Smith and while he may not get a lot of playing time, he is a bull rushing nose tackle that has decent speed to bust up some running backs; may develop into a good DT in the future.
- KeJuan Roberts - WR - 70 Overall
- The better of the two WRs that I picked up - and will definitely be my WR4 starting off, he has some burner speed and some good hands and can keep the ball under control in traffic which is exactly what I need in my offense.
- Shannon Lockett - LT - 74 Overall
- A great Run Blocker right off the bat, definitely needs to improve on the Pass Blocking but being second fiddle to Donald Penn will allow him time to develop. He may end up taking over the RT spot if Menelik Watson doesn't improve this year.
- Zach Farrell - RT - 54 Overall
- Not a good selection, will be cut in pre-season.
- DaShawn Golden - QB - 62 Overall
- Just needed a QB to be 3rd string behind Derek Carr and Matt Schaub.
- Just needed a QB to be 3rd string behind Derek Carr and Matt Schaub.
Comment
- MVP Catch: Rodriguez Dawkins comes from the All-Star game with the MVP, after making 14 catches for almost 200 yards.

Year 2
Pre-Season
Once again, I do not play the Pre-Season. I turn off Injuries, do the Game Prep every week to build confidence in the players that need it most, and I simulate week to week.
The only major position battle for this year was at Right Defensive End between the veteran Lamarr Woodley and rookie Segwick Clarke
Year 2, Week 1
Coaches Corner
First game of the 2015 Regular Season with the new-look Raiders. Derek Carr is coming fresh off of his rookie of the year campaign and should aim to impress with Randall Cobb now signed to a long-term deal. Andre Ellington looks to continue his impressive rushing attack like he had the last 2 seasons, and now with rookie Jamerius Harrison in the backfield as well, he will carry less of the work load but be opening up to better plays.
The Defense looks to get re-aligned as we posted a league-worst ranking last season. With signings at Cornerback (Tramon Williams) and Free Safety (Kendrick Lewis) in the Free Agency period and rookie signings of Segwick Clarke (RE) and Anges Hadley (MLB) we are really looking to break the trend and start stuffing defenses completely.
Position Battles
- Lamarr Woodley clearly isn't happy about losing his starting job, but he will have a HUGE role to play backing up all across the line this season as he will be backing up Segwick Clarke (RE), Pat Sims (DT), and Justin Tuck (LE).

An amazing start to the 2015 season. The Offense was on fire, and the defense was stout against one of the premier RBs in the NFL. The first half was a complete shut down but we went a little relaxed in the second half, but still pulled off the win.
The Offense was great, Derek Carr finished the game with 212 yards throwing with 2 TDs and 0 INTs, adding 9 yards on the ground. His new favorite target, free agent acquisition Randall Cobb came up huge today with 6 catches for 97 yards and a score. Devin Hester had the other TD grab but only ended with 3 catches for 26 yards. Andre Ellington returned to last years form, busting off 105 yards on only 17 carries, adding 25 yards receiving on 2 catches. Rookie RB Jamerius Harrison had a decent day at backup, rushing for 41 yards on just 8 carries with 1 reception.
The Defense was absolutely a steel curtain today; in the first half. We only let up 3 First Downs in the first half alone, and only let up 100 yards well into the 2nd Quarter. 1st Round Pick Anges Hadley absolutely dominated at starting MLB and thrives in this 3-4 defense - stuffing the run and posting 10 tackles and a Sack. Brian Hoyer was able to have a good day throwing 24 of 29 completions for 235 yards and 2 scores with only 1 INT. Hoyer in the 2nd half looked a lot better than in the 1st, and the touchdowns that he did get were on blown plays and missed tackles, especially Andre Johnson's 27 yard touchdown reception. The real treat today was how our defense shut down Arian Foster for only 73 yards on 19 carries and kept him out of the end zone.
With the way our team looked today, I am very excited to see how this season plays out. It might be too early to say this, but I think we are a playoff team in 2015.

Scouting
- This is a big year for the Raiders. We have the right pieces to make a playoff push, but I think to solidify ourselves as a dynasty to come, we need to get the next future stars. My top needed positions are CB, MLB, and I need that big-play TE.
Coach's Corner
Notes
I am very pleased with my teams performance in Week 1 versus the Texans, I really hope it rolls into this big game, our first divisional matchup against the AFC West Champ Chargers.. I noticed that Derek Carr had quite a few terrible throws in the first game, so I need to watch out on that. Otherwise I will continue with my two-headed RB approach and hope Ellington continues his dominance.

2-0!!! Hell yeah these Raiders are looking like the real deal - posting almost 500 yards of offense including an unprecedented 246 yards of rushing, and the rush defense clearly has stepped up its game thanks to my 1st Round picks, MLB Anges Hadley and RE Segewick Clarke.
The Offense was amazing today. Not a single turnover committed and the rushing attack was absolutely beastly. Derek Carr had a great day in the pocket, throwing for 217 yards and 1 TD before exiting the game with a minor injury (so minor that he could have returned, but I did not want to risk injuring him further). He did not have as many awful looking passes as he did in Week 1 so I was very happy with that. Once again Randall Cobb led the team with 7 grabs for 66 yards and scored for the second straight week, and came thanks to the big play of the night came on a short 8 yard cross route from James Jones who turned it into a 65 yard reception (he was caught at the 2). However, the Rushing attack was the big story of the day as the two headed beast of Andre Ellington (16/152/1) and Jamerius Harrison (15/77/1) absolutely shredded the Chargers defense, and I have to give credit to the entire offensive line as they dominated the trenches.
The Defense was also quite impressive today. Although the Passing Defense gave up as many yards as they did, it was because the Chargers were down pretty early and were forced to throw it just to stay in contention. However, even with all those passing yards we did force an Interception that was returned for a score, and a very crucial fumble recovery late in the 4th that sealed the win for us.
Philip Rivers looked like his laser focused self tossing up a statline of 33/44 for 435 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. His receivers were scattered around the roster today as he hit 9 different receivers, the two big days coming from Malcolm Floyd (7/79/0) and future stud Ladarius Green (5/101/0). Rivers couldn't stay calm in the pocket today as Justin Tuck had his way with RT D.J. Fluker, accounting for 5 tackles, 4 of which were sacks.
The big thing to take away from this side of the ball is again on the rushing game; but how we defended it. Ryan Mathews was only able to muster up a measly 32 yards on 9 carries, while backup Danny Woodhead only ran once, but managed to bust off a 13 yard rush - totaling 45 yards which is the least amount of yards allowed rushing since I have taken the reigns as head coach. That is a WIN right there.
Note: Sebastian Janikowski is now 7/7 on Field Goal attempts this year.. Hell Yeah Seabass!

Notes
Another great game offensively; the rushing attack was absolutely ridiculous and now we boast the #1 Offense in the NFL. Andre Ellington is clearly the best back in the league right now and our line is doing everything in their power to dominate the trenches. If I can keep this up we can take the AFC West.
Devin Hester got hurt last game and will miss 4 games as a result, but thankfully Randall Cobb is having a great year so far, and I am looking to continue getting him the ball if he can keep producing; and Derek Carr needs that stud target to bomb it to every so often and get him the numbers he needs to thrive in the league.
I am very surprised to see Peyton Manning still playing, but I suppose I was taking real-life into account rather than thinking he would keep playing in Madden.. silly me.

The Offense today was stuffed by the intense Broncos Defense. Derek Carr had his worst game of the season throwing for just 199 yards on 40 attempts (22 completions) with 1 score and 2 INTs. Randall Cobb had a quiet game today only catching 4 balls for 33 yards, but Kenbrell Thompkins had a big day catching 6 passes for 48 yards and a garbage time TD. Andre Ellington had a tough time getting anything going rushing for 69 yards on 20 carries and nobody else could really get anything going on the ground either.
The Defense didn't give up major yardage, thanks to a Von Miller pick six, but Peyton Manning still had a phenomenal day, throwing 20 of 23 passes for 235 yards and 3 TDs to just 1 INT. His big target on the day was Cody Latimer who absolutely burned Tarell Brown for 7 catches for 122 yards and a score. Monte Ball didn't have a major day on the ground and only got 61 yards and our Rush D is actually looking like a legitimate run stopping defense.
Clearly we have to get better defending the pass, but this game could have just been a fluke. We will see next week in Kansas City.

This was the first bad game offensively for the Raiders; I am hoping to turn it around next game, but Derek Carr once again showed his complete inaccuracies, launching a few passes over the heads of would be receivers only 5 yards out. Randall Cobb heavily suffered thanks to this, only getting 33 yards last game, I need to get him to either double digit receptions or triple digit yardage against a top tier pass defense.

The Offense finally was revived today in Kansas City and this was a HUGE game for everyone.
Derek Carr had a subpar day today throwing the ball, going 18 of 33 for only 175 yards and 2 TDs but managed to throw 4 INTs - but his day was salvaged by his 16 yard rushing score. Randall Cobb had a gigantic game today, snagging 10 receptions for 97 yards and 2 scores, while Kembrell Thompkins caught 5 balls for 62 yards but failed to find the end zone. Andre Ellington mustered a huge day going off for 129 yards on 20 carries, and backup Jamerius Harrison ran for 44 yards on 9 carries on the day.
The Defense today was all around beastly. The Front Seven crashed the holes and stopped the Chiefs amazing one-two rush attack of Jamaal Charles (14/52/1) and Knile Davis (3/21/1)but while both managed to score, both scores were within 2 yards of the end zone.. The Defense managed 8 sacks against the Chiefs, including the first score of the day which was a Safety on Alex Smith. The Defense managed to churn through the Chiefs depth chart for QBs, and none of them had a very good day before the game was over with. Alex Smith threw a perfect 4 for 4 for 48 yards, Chase Daniel thew 10 of 12 for 93 yards and a TD before leaving with an injury and Aaron Murray finished the game with 14 of 20 with 1 TD and 1 INT. The big targets of the day for the Chiefs were Dwayne Bowe (5/74/0) and Jamaal Charles (5/46/0).

Was a huge day last week for the offense. Derek Carr has to be more patient, after starting the year 5:0 TD:INT, he is now 6:6. Randall Cobb is having a huge year, but with the running game as on fire as it is right now there is no need to force the pass.

This was an awesome game. Just an absolute nail biter and we pulled off another victory tboost our record to 4-1!
The Offense today was fairly pedestrian, only totaling 348 yards of total offense, but our team got the yards when we needed to and it really came down to the wire on this one. Derek Carr had a pretty good game, throwing 18 of 32 passes for 192 yards 1 TD and 1 INT, and added 22 yards on the ground on only 2 carries. Once again Randall Cobb was at the top of the box score with 5 receptions for 44 yards, with Mychal Rivera tying him with 5 catches for 71 yards but neither got into the end zone; that was reserved for Kenbrell Thompkins whose only grab went for an 8 yard TD. Andre Ellington had another average day, rushing for 55 yards and 1 TD on 16 carries; the reason for his low usage was because I wanted to get the rookie Jamerius Harrison involved more, and I subbed him into a few formations and kept him in the entire time - he only was able to muster 42 yards on 13 carries however, so it was not a prolific performance for either back.
The Defense was the real star today. Rookie Middle Linebacker Anges Hadley is looking more and more like a Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate and busted up the Bengals for 8 tackles and 1 sack (he also had a forced fumble AND recovery but it was reversed on a Booth Challenge). Andy Dalton had a good day, throwing 18 of 21 completions for 246 yards, but failed to find the end zone and threw 1 INT. A.J. Green had a game-high 6 grabs for 58 yards, and Marvin Jones nabbed 5 balls for a game-high 110 yards. The Bengals were able only able to score on the ground, but couldn't get the yardage to back it up, as Gio Bernard ran 12 times for 43 yards for 1 TD, Jeremy Hill ran 8 for 24 yards, and the big play of the day for the Bengals was John Kuhn busting off a 36 yard TD rush early in the game.
Late in the game, with the Raiders down by 3 we got the ball back with just over 5 minutes left to play. Derek Carr had to lead the team down the field and save the day. It took us over 2 minutes to get 21 yards downfield and on 4th and 1, I decided to go for it on a Fake Punt Run and Marcel Reece took the ball just over the yellow line. Next set of plays were a few 1st down plays, 3 10+ yard plays and then Derek Carr went down with a Bruised Sternum and could not re-enter the game. When Matt Schaub took the field I got quite nervous and wanted to run the ball but I was at the 21 yard line and only had a minute and twenty-five seconds to get there. After a failed goal line rush by Andre Ellington (in which the game was ALMOST blown thanks to an Ellington fumble) I called a no-huddle and decided to call a very ballsy End Around to Randall Cobb who waltzed into the end zone from 2 yards out with 19 ticks on the clock. The Bengals got the ball and I immediately went into Quarter, Prevent defense. Amazingly thanks to an absolute fail on my part Marvin Jones was wide open for a 59 yard reception which put them well within our side of the field. After the timeout Andy Dalton tried for the end zone, but was intercepted by Tarell Brown in the end zone and the game was over.
4-1 BABY!!!

Not a great day offensively for us last week, but a hell of a day on the defensive side of the ball. I am beyond happy with our teams performance. However, Andre Ellington did not have a great day rushing and neither did backup Jamerius Harrison and only managed to combine for a total of 97 yards on 29 carries.

A tough pill to swallow for the Raiders today losing what should have been a sealed up win, but thanks to an absolute blown coverage by free agent pickup Kendrick Lewis led to the Chargers winning touchdown with under a minute to play.
The Offense today was performing well until Andre Ellington left the game with a Bruised Shoulder Labrum and missed the rest of the game, once this happened there was a lull in production and we couldn't put up anything. Ellington was on his way to another big game before the injury posting 75 yards on just 12 carries with a TD. Backup Jamerius Harrison notched a solid 39 yards on just 9 carries but couldn't get the same impact as Andre and it showed. Derek Carr had a subpar game again, throwing for 237 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT - Randall Cobb being the big benefactor again today tallying a season-high 10 catches for 119 yards, and threw down an absolutely perfect block on Kenbrell Thompkins' 38 yard TD reception.
The Defense was actually very good until the end of the game. Once again, Rookie of the Year candidate Anges Hadley boasted a team-high 9 tackles and notched a forced fumble AND recovery on the same play - this kid is the real deal. Philip Rivers had an unbelievable day, throwing only 2 incompletions (25/27) for 267 yards, and 2 TDs with 0 turnovers. Keenan Allen was the big target today catching 8 balls for 127 yards, including the game-changing 59 yard pass late in the 4th that brought the Chargers well within scoring distance with under a minute to go. Ryan Mathews had a great game on the ground putting up 84 yards on 17 carries, but after his first carry that went for 20 yards, he looked very quiet; so I give the victory to our front seven once again.

Slider Changes*****
So I have been finding it extraordinarily easy to run on the computer and defend the run, so I am making a little change to my sliders - this is just for my franchise and not for my slider set, that is just the base set for people to use, this is just for my franchise so it's tailor-made for my skill set..

- KeJuan Roberts - WR - 70 Overall - Forearm Fracture, Out 2 Weeks
Notes
Derek Carr really needs to break out of this funk he's been in lately. Aside from Randall Cobb nobody else has been able to get anything going, and I really need to make sure I don't force any more passes into coverage. Thankfully Andre Ellington will not miss any time with his injury and should bounce right back to his #1 Rushing self.

What a nail biter; cannot believe I couldn't get the damn timeout called after Cobb came down with that absolutely clutch reception as time expired. We were WELL within Janikowski's Field Goal range but I could not hit the Timeout button quick enough before the 0:00 came across the screen.
The Offense was lackluster again, especially on the Passing side of the ball; I don't know what is happening with Derek Carr but he is regressing and I am really thinking about looking at a QB in the draft. Carr finished the game with 202 yards passing 0 TDs and 1 INT and added only 15 yards on the ground on 2 carries. He really couldn't get passes completed when he needed to, but late in the game he started to heat up. Randall Cobb had a big day again, nabbing 7 catches for 87 yards, with Kembrell Thompkins right behind him at 6 nabs for 42 yards. Andre Ellington had a great day on the ground, even with the slider change, putting up 75 yards on 20 carries, with backup Jamerius Harrison only able to run for 11 yards on 7 carries, but did manage to find the end zone.
The Defense was below average today, and we ended up with the loss thanks to the lackluster final drive. Chase Daniel had a great day in the pocket, throwing for 259 yards but did not have a score. There were no big receivers on the day, but the top receivers for Kansas City were Derek Crisp (6/55/0), Jamaal Charles (5/45/0), and Kellen Winslow (4/72/0). Jamaal Charles had a big day on the ground putting up 82 yards on just 15 carries and found the end zone 2 times.
On that final game-winning drive from Kansas City Chase Daniel was able to just slice through our secondary and drive down the field extremely quickly.Once they scored the Field Goal there was only 8 seconds left. After a squib kick which brought the clock down to 7 seconds we were able to run 1 play to get into Field Goal range. I was able to hit Randall Cobb for a big 28 yard gain, putting us well within range, but the clock was at 1 second left when he hit the ground and as I was attacking the Timeout button, time expired and the game was over. We should've forced OT but thanks to game error, we got the L instead.

Notes
With the slider change Ellington looked a little more down to earth, but I am not going to give up on this rushing attack, however I really do need to do a better job at passing the ball.Randall Cobb is still killing it as a member of the Raiders but Derek Carr is definitely faltering in his sophmore season.

Re: Rebuilding the Raiders, Restoring Glory to the Black Hole - M15 (Custom All-Madde
Don't give up on Carr too quickly! In past franchises I've made this mistake. Did a fantasy draft once and had Brett Favre. Once he retired I gave up on Rivers way too quickly because I couldn't stop throwing INTs w/ him. The guy I replaced him with was 10X worse lol.Comment
