Greatest idea ever. I don't want to replace Lane Kiffin though.

Also, keep in mind that Sam Freday IS NOT my real name.

I'd love to be a part of your dynasty! How'd Central Michigan do this year? That's my team in my online dynasty (in my signature) and also the school I'm attending IRL, so it'd be cool to be the coach there. But if Dan Enos has the boys rolling there's no sense in replacing him. However, if the job up there is open my coach from my online dynasty there is Max Crenshaw so you could make him the coach.

I'm pretty sure BGSU will have a staff overhaul, we'll see what happens.

CMU went 4-8 (4-5) this year and I believe they had a losing record last year as well (my pics from the 2014 season are gone). I have a feeling they are going to do a staff overhaul, so there is a chance a generic guy may pop up that I can turn you in to.

As of now, we have 4 submissions (KSW, whughes, Po1soNNN, mattynokes) in addition to my guy (we'll discuss that at the coach carousel). There are still 5 more spaces (at least) if anyone else wants a coach in game for next season. One submission per user, please.

Did a quick search in game, I see 10 coaches (5 OC, 5 DC) who are fake, and I will be replacing them with our submissions this offseason, regardless of whether they change places or not. I'm not giving away any of the positions.

Not sure who is going to go where just yet.

*NOTE: I Skipped over Week 14's Around the NCAA as we had a bye this week and it just didn't really matter. CFP/Heisman rankings are updated headed into Championship Week. Top stories are collected from Week 14 and 15.*

NCAA Players of the Week (Week 15)

Po1soNNN: Matt Johnson of BG won POTW Week 14, he threw for 6 TD's and 314 yards in a 59-7 win over Akron.

                  Davis takes Heisman

South Carolina's senior tailback Mike Davis has won the 2015 Heisman Memorial Trophy. Davis becomes the second Gamecock to win the Trophy, following George Rogers in 1980. Davis ran for almost 1700 yards and 17 TD's and had about 200 more receiving yards.

Davis was on the Heisman Watch list most of the year, and has carried his Gamecocks to an almost certain second straight appearance in the College Football Playoff.

BYU's Taysom Hill finished second, roughly 150 points behind. The Cougs QB has had a phenomenal year and held the top spot in the Heisman Watch most of the second half of the year, however was passed in the final week of the season.

Auburn RB Roc Thomas, a sophomore, finished 3rd. A pair of running backs, Florida's Matt Jones and BYU's Adam Hine, rounded out the top 5.

Florida QB Treon Harris took 6th, Notre Dame QB Everett Golson placed 7th. USC's Nelson Agholor was 8th, Fresno State linebacker Ejiro Ederaine finished 9th, and TCU's B.J. Catalon rounded out the top 10.

                  ---------------------------------------------------------------

                  Stewart, Newsome take home hardware

UConn RB Arkeel Newsome, a redshirt freshman, has taken home the nation's best return man award. This is the second straight year a Husky has won the award, following Deshon Foxx last year.

UConn linebacker Graham Stewart has also taken home some hardware. The senior stud linebacker was presented with the Chuck Bednarik Award, awarded to the nation's best defender by the Maxwell Football Club.

Stewart led the NCAA in tackles for the second straight year, and emerged as arguably the best linebacker in the nation this year.

I had no idea Kiffin had it in him. I feel bad for whomever hires him this offseason.

                    College Football Playoff Bracket

This year's CFP Bracket provides possibly more intrigue than last year. Florida and UCLA were the clear top 2 seeds, and will be the home teams in the Orange and Cotton Bowl, respectively. From there, the race got interesting. Despite not playing in their respective conference title games, 10-2 South Carolina and extreme underdog 10-2 Minnesota got the nods at 3 and 4, passing up teams such as 10-3 LSU, 11-1 BYU, 10-2 Notre Dame, 11-2 Michigan State, among others.

Both games will take place on New Year's Eve, at 3:30 and 8:30. The title game will take place on January 11 in Glendale, Arizona.

Haha, I'm still amazed the Gophers even made the CFP. Few good teams (especially BYU, warms my heart we were the only team to beat them this year), got left out in the cold. Had BYU not fumbled after making that INT in the 4th quarter, they'd be #2 in the land and playing for a national title, I guarantee it. They just couldn't recover from the loss in time.

Minnesota's defense has been phenomenal, they have Lombardi Winner Alex Keith and Theiren Cockran playing some tremendous ball on the D-Line, Rodrick Williams leading the way at tailback, and they are getting some solid play out of other key guys. Very underrated team IMO.

Florida has clearly been the class of the field all season, they are truly a formidable team. Will be a tough game for Minny.

                          Time to Take Off

Puyol's walk-off field goal places sky high expectations for 2016

Josh Marriner dives at the pylon for a TD.

                          Friends, it's time.

Bobby Puyol has kicked UConn into contention. Not like he hasn't before (see, SMU and Tulane, 2014), but this...means just a little more.

UConn has triumphed over #14 Penn State (if you're keeping score at home, that's 3 ranked teams in 2015-16), and, in the process, have elevated their hopes for the 2016 season. (AAC Title, anyone?)

But before we look to next year, please, relish in the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl victory over the #14 Fighting Paternos. 'Cuz it was a hell of a game.

Oddly, it was a game of two halves. Fact of the matter is, 52 of the game's 65 points were scored in the first half.

                          Yeah...

Both teams came out with the offense red-hot (obviously), and neither team appeared to be able to stop.

After UConn punted to start the game, Penn State tacked on a field goal, and the seesaw affair ensued. Bryant Shirreffs completed 3 passes of 18 yards or more en route to an 8 yard strike to senior Kamal Abrams to put the Huskies up 7-3.

Akeel Lynch's runs of 27, 9, 6 and a 5 yard TD gave the Fighting Paternos the lead right back. A short lived one, at that.

Akeel Lynch in action. He, like so many others, ran all over UConn's front 7.

As after a touchback on the return, it took Shirreffs exactly (count it) one play to retake that lead. Noel Thomas was the recipient, and he took the sophomore's pass 75 yards for the TD, catching the curl, outrunning everyone and going to the house.

At the end of one, we had a 14-10 barn burner.

Both teams scored 14 in the second quarter, as well. Lynch took an option pitch 69 yards (my fault, I accidentally kept diving when I switched players ), and Geno Lewis caught a 2 yard TD on a 4th and goal right before the half.

Josh Marriner did some heavy lifting for UConn, taking a stretch 21 yards for a score, and after Lewis' TD catch marched downfield in 44 seconds to score again, taking a 28-24 lead to the break.

So going into the half, with so much offense, one would expect more of the same right?

                          Heh............WRONG.

Yeah, the two teams combined for (get this) 0 points in the 3rd quarter. Boy did I feel stupid. Oddly enough, each team only got one drive in that 3rd quarter (each chewed up about 4 minutes, or half, of the clock).

However, Bobby Puyol did kick a field goal 2 seconds into the 4th, so that's close. But anyway, UConn had a 31-24 lead at that point.

Lewis and Lynch drove Penn State downfield, and though it took 8 plays, Christian Hackenberg connected with Kyle Carter for the tying score with 4 minutes left in the game.

With the return only coming to the UConn 27, Coach Diaco and crew figured they could take their time.

Enter Sandman. Or Maxy, in this case.

His runs of 6, 8, and to a lesser extent 2 and 1, helped keep the chains moving, as Shirreffs continued his great day by hooking up with Thomas and Abrams on back to back plays past the UConn side of the field.

More importantly, UConn had shaved 3:30 off the 4 minutes on the clock.

Maxy's 8 yard run set up a chip shot field goal for Bobby, and sent UConn home with a football trophy over the Fighting Paternos. I said it, a football trophy.

                          Woo-Hoo!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the big time. We're going all the way (we hope) in 2016. And I hope you'll join me there.

                          #RiseUpTogether.

                              College Football Playoff Bracket

This year's CFP was slightly underwhelming, at least in the semis. Florida rolled over Minnesota 42-14 in a snoozefest, and UCLA walked over South Carolina 35-17. Neither game was really exciting unless you are a fan of either winner, but led in to the anticipated CFP Championship.

Undefeated Florida vs. 1-loss UCLA was an instant classic, as the two teams were so even that the game went to OT. After Treon Harris threw an INT on UF's first possession, Asiantii Woulard completed a TD pass to Eldridge Massington to win the title. This is the first National Title for the Bruins since 1954.

It was a great game. Amazing how the offense crashed in the second half though...

                                Arizona's Haden coming to Storrs

UConn will have a new man on campus in 2016, as Arizona's Jonathan Haden has reportedly been accepted into the school. At a mere 5'6, he appears to be a scatback/return specialist, but is actually a solid all-around receiver, and may be UConn's best at the position skills wise.

Haden, who will be eligible in 2017, will be able to practice and hone his skills this fall. Haden will join Thomas Lucas (if he returns for his senior year), incoming transfer Damon Mitchell, Rodney Reid, Jeff Matthews and incoming freshman Kevin Lacey in the corps.
