Let's go get that conference title coach. Crowd should be pumped and give the players a nice boost to get the job done

A division title is a great start to your dynasty, hopefully you can turn it into a conference title! Good luck against FIU

Thanks! We're actually playing @ FIU, so the crowd will be more in their favor than ours. Hopefully, it doesn't affect our players and we can get a few of our own fans down to Miami!

Thanks! Hopefully we can get that Conference Championship. Their defense versus our offense is an intriguing matchup for sure.

Hopefully we do, but their defense scares me a little. The points allowed per game, yards given up, both point to an at least above average defense.

UTSA WINS SHOOTOUT, WINS FIRST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP IN SCHOOL HISTORY

Four times this year did UTSA score 40+ points. Now, they have won a conference championship once.

Today, UTSA fans stormed the field at FIU Stadium from behind the visitor's sideline, as for the first time in their short program history, they won a conference championship.

The game started off as many experts predicted; dominated by FIU. They scored first, making it 7-0. They then recovered a fumble on a Blake Bogenschutz sack, and recorded a field goal off of that. UTSA would manage a measly three points in the first quarter.

After that, however, the offense came to life. They scored from 3, 5, and 74 yards out to make the score 24-17 at half.

They would continue to light up FIU's defense for 24 more points, and the defense would only (?) allow 20. This combined effort to storm back from early adversity, allowed UTSA to capture the championship.

Massive win there vs FIU. I have to admit, I was worried about their D and thought would be a struggle but you made them look average at best!

Time for a juicy bowl game, hopefully!

Thanks! The bowl game will definitely be a tough matchup, but hopefully we can get that W.

Time for a juicy bowl game, hopefully!

Thanks! Our offense really stepped up after the first quarter.

UTSA FALLS TO FLORIDA IN BITTER END TO GREAT SEASON

In a defensive battle that was never really in doubt, the #19 Florida Gators beat the unranked UTSA Roadrunners, 20-10.

The game started out slowly, as neither offense really found their footing. It was a tight 7-7 battle headed into the 2nd quarter. After that the wheels really fell off for the offense. The Gators scored 10 in the quarter where UTSA put up a goose egg.

Both teams put up a field goal in the 3rd quarter, and UTSA threatened to score a few times, but never could close it out.

And so ends the best season in UTSA history. 9-5. Conference Championship. Hopefully, the Roadrunners can improve even further next year.

                            Go Roadrunners!

                              UTSA: SEASON IN REVIEW

UTSA's season went better than anyone expected, especially with a new offensive coordinator in Jake Carlisle.

It started out a bit shaky. Victories against rival Texas State, Central Michigan, UTEP, and Rice, and losses to eventual national champion Arizona and Marshall gave UTSA a 4-2 record at the halfway point.

The second half of the season started with a close loss to USC, wins against UAB and Tulsa, a loss to Tulane, and wins vs North Texas and Louisiana Tech propelled UTSA into the C-USA Title game where they took care of business vs FIU. Finally, they lost to Florida in the Liberty Bowl.

The offense really only played badly in two games, against Arizona and Florida. They ended up averaging over 30 PPG.

The defense, on the other hand, was putrid was the offense wasn't running the ball. One of the worst pass defenses in the nation contributed to some of the struggles this year.

Ultimately though, the year was successful. We'll have to see if Jake Carlisle or any other coaches leave to other schools
