Coaches Hot Seat 2017: 3 Weeks to Firing Day

Burning Up (Most Likely to be Fired)
Dave Clawson, 11-35 at Wake Forest - Multiple sources have come out that Clawson will be relieved of his duties in two weeks.
Lance Leipold, 9-25 at Buffalo - Just 1-9 this season - Leipold's Bulls have regressed in each season so far.
Doug Martin, 12-45 at New Mexico State - 4 wins managed to keep his job last season but 1-9 with a better roster will not.
Matt Rhule, 23-37 at Temple - 5-17 the last two seasons may have cut it for early 2000's Temple, but not now.
James Franklin, 24-25 at Penn State - A disastrous 2-8 campaign in 2017 with a loaded roster should mean Franklin gets axed.
Paul Haynes, 12-44 at Kent State - Kent State is winless in 2017. Good as gone.
Chris Ash, 5-17 at Rutgers - Might get a third season but team has seemed to regress in 2017.
Tim DeRutyer, 35-38 at Fresno State - 3 wins last year, and just 3 so far this year.
Darrell Hazell, 11-47 at Purdue - Many are shocked Purdue has kept him this long, and a 5-16 in the last two seasons has sadly been an improvement.

      Could Be Fired
Paul Johnson, 71-58 at Georgia Tech - Johnson's triple option attack may need a new home - or just a down year for Tech - as GT is 3-7 after reaching a bowl game last year.
Bret Bielema, 27-34 at Arkansas - Arkansas sits at 4-7 and may be 5-7 for back to back seasons.
Mike MacIntyre, 19-40 at Colorado - 7-6 last year was a huge improvement -and the Buffs were expected to compete for a Pac-12 division title - instead they are 2-7 this year.
Tony Sanchez, 9-25 at UNLV - How many more years can a guy with 3 wins per season get?

Candidates to Watch for HC Jobs
Tom Herman, 32-6 at Houston - Herman stunned the world last year when he remained at Houston. He will be most team's #1 priority.
Willie Taggart, 31-29 at USF - Taggart went 8-5 with a bowl win last year and USF is 9-1 this year with a possible Heisman invitee.
Rhett Lashlee, 10-0 at Western Kentucky - Lashlee took over a solid WKU team and has signature wins in year 1 and a possible playoff birth at stake.
Willie Fritz, 11-10 at Tulane - Fritz has done a fantastic job at Tulane - who will be bowling in 2017 and has showed major improvement in year 2. Maybe he will move up to a new job?
Jeff Monken, 22-25 at Army West Point - Monken was considered for some jobs last season - but being 16-7 at Army in the last two years has opened some eyes for this offseason.
Ron Turner, 30-30 at FIU - Turner, who was 10-26 in his first three years, has went 20-4 in the last two at FIU.

Tough one to drop to Rice. Letting them comeback like that in the 4th had to hurt.

Against Navy in the snow, only thing that could have been better is the win! That's a tough one, always hated losing commander-in-chiefs games as a service acamedy!

We're back! Unforunately things will be a little condensed to get us to our bowl game since I was into bowl season and I don't really remember where my notes are for what happened in the conference championships etc. But..here we go again!

Welcome Back! Army returns to Military Bowl, will play Toledo

Army West Point (7-5) will return to the Military Bowl for the second consecutive season, this time facing Toledo (6-6). Army defeated Tulsa 27-20 in the 2016 Military Bowl.

Much like last season's matchup of Army and Tulsa - both teams have played Navy. Toledo lost 30-20 on September 13th, and Army lost to Navy 34-14 on December 6th.

Army enters this game on a two-game losing streak, while Toledo started their season 0-4 before finishing 6-2 down the stretch to make their .500 record.

Toledo is led by senior QB Michael Julian who has thrown 18 TD passes this year and has 6 additional rushing TDs on the year. However, he has thrown 18 INTs as well.
