Have to say, I'm going against you this week. Every other week, in all for the Bulls, but I've gotta go with my Nittany Lions!
        Also, great job so far!

Typo! That's UCF at Penn State, we're hosting FAU. Fixed it!

              Game Notes
Coach Porell's Notes: FAU is 0-2 with a pair of tough road losses to Miami and ECU. Both games they have allowed 38 points. Their pass defense looks pretty weak on paper. Cornerback Keith Reaser and linebacker Andrae Kirk are probably their best defensive players so we will have to look out for both of them. They aren't great on the defensive line so we're hoping to take advantage of that and run the ball well.

Personnel Notes: We're looking to even out the number of touches between Marcus Shaw and Michael Pierre at runningback this week. Pierre outplayed Shaw last week. Also we would like to see Darius Tice get a few more touches. Mike McFarland will get the start at tight end over Sean Price this week.

                        USF Bulls Game Report

Turnovers too much to overcome as USF falls to FAU at home

MIKE MCFARLAND HAULS IN A TD PASS FROM BOBBY EVELD

The USF offense was dominant, racking up 494 yards and 29 first downs as they essentially had their way with the FAU defense.

The one number that cost them the game was four.

Bobby Eveld threw four interceptions in the game that led to 20 points for FAU.

Eveld threw the ball a whopping 51 times, completing 32 for 335 yards and two scores.

The four interceptions were just too much for USF's defense to get past.

"It was a combination of things." Offensive coordinator David Porell said after the loss. "Most of that's on me."

USF was a heavy favorite in the game.

USF's tandem of Marcus Shaw and Michael Pierre combined for 133 yards on 29 carries and Pierre added a touchdown.

"The running game was essentially what we're hoping for every game." Porell explained. "Both of those guys had some big runs and the blocking was solid."

Tight end Mike McFarland led the team with 88 yards on seven receptions, he also scored once. Chris Dunkley, who missed a late potential touchdown pass last week, was second with 83 yards on six receptions.

Defensive end Ryne Giddins led the way on defense, totaling seven tackles including three behind the line of scrimmage. He also recorded a sack.

Cornerback Jalen Spencer picked off a pass in the loss.

FAU led 21-17 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Eveld led a 14 play 58 yard drive that was capped by a four yard pass to Davario Montgomery.

FAU answered that score and with 2:15 left to play Eveld led the offense out down by four points.

After connecting with McFarland for a gain of 22 Eveld was sacked for a loss of ten. USF never recovered and they were stopped on fourth down with 1:12 left to play. FAU broke off a long run then ran out the clock.

                                Game Notes
Coach Porell's Notes: Miami is far and away the best team we have faced so far this season. Last week was a really tough loss to take. If we make that many mistakes this week it will be over by halftime. Miami has the #1 overall defense and #1 pass defense in the nation by yardage and they have playmakers all over that defense. DE Anthony Chickillo, OLB Denzel Perryman, CB Tracy Howard, S Deon Bush and S A.J. Highsmith are all players to watch out for.

Personnel Notes: Michael Pierre outplayed Marcus Shaw at RB again last week. We're not making any changes this week but we are shooting for a near 50/50 split on touches. Mike McFarland had a good week at TE last week so he'll remain the starter.
