Alright, I had originally thought the game would let me edit coaches, but, it turns out I can't, at least not with the online CFM file that I have. Maybe you can do it with an offline file. Anyway, these CACs shall exist within our imagination, if that's alright. For John Stone and Connor Lincoln, I gave you the job of the teams with the two worst offenses. Once I saw Josh McDaniels take the Chiefs job, I just knew I had to give Guru the Pats' OC opening. You're welcome.

Re: We Dem Boyz: Bringing Big O Back to the Big D (M18)
Finally getting around to starting my Cowboys CFM cause this thread put me in the mood lol. How did you handle Byron Jones? I moved him to CB, where I believe his attributes play better. Now I'm going to trade Scandrick. Looking at getting Gabbert because I want a decent backup in case Dak goes down. No way I'm relying on Cooper Rush!

I wouldn't exactly call Gabbert a quality backup, but yeah, he is better than Rush. I will keep Byron Jones at FS, because as you will find out soon, I made some other moves in the secondary...Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

Re: We Dem Boyz: Bringing Big O Back to the Big D (M18)
Meet Your Newest Cowboys:
March 17, 2018
Frisco, TX --- With the NFL officially into a new year, marked by the opening of free agency, the Cowboys are ready to go. The biggest question the team of Jerry Jones and Sam Freday were faced with this year was how they could continue to improve a team that just won the NFC, and managed to lock down most of their big name free agents with contract extensions during the season? Don't get me wrong, the Cowboys do have weaknesses; every team does, but the mindset of this year's offseason is to add depth, not necessarily to add talent. But, hey, if we do happen to get some big names, drawn to the Big D because of who we are and the brand we represent, we certainly aren't going to say no.
Leaving us to free agency are a couple of key role players. Robert Blanton was the starting strong safety, and was out-shadowed by fellow safety and budding superstar Byron Jones. Nonetheless, he had a great year, developing a presence over the middle of the field that made many quarterbacks hesitant to throw his way, leading to some sacks by the new NFL sack kings. He chose not to resign with the team, which really hurt Coach Freday, since he had also been with Blanton in Minnesota. But, this is a business first, and if he wants to go somewhere where he can get even less attention, we're okay with that. After all, playing on national TV every week certainly isn't for everyone. Thus, the Cowboys need some help at that strong safety position. As of now, Jeff Heath is the only one on the roster.
Also leaving us on defense is Kyle Wilber, who platooned as a starter all season long, making some valuable plays in crucial situations along the ride to the Super Bowl. Faced with his expiring contract, the Cowboys made the tough decision to let him walk into free agency. The same was done for WR Brice Butler, who can be described as a role player at best. It didn't make sense for the Cowboys to pay him what he was asking for the very limited role he had on the team, so he will also have a new home in 2018.
Also gone are two Cowboys backup QBs, Robert Griffin III and Luke McCown. RGIII was only brought in after McCown got hurt in the preseason, and his contract was only for 1 year, so there's no surprises here. As for McCown, he deserves a shot somewhere, and with the Cowboys as content as ever with Dak Prescott, it just made more sense to let him go. That leaves Kellen Moore as the only other QB on the roster. Finally, a hole in the offensive line has opened up. LG Jonathan Cooper became an unrestricted free agent after having a disappointing 2017 that featured multiple injuries and too much lost time. It's not his fault (it never is), but the Cowboys could use an upgrade at the position, their only weak spot on a fantastic offensive line.
So, all of those positions were a focal point this offseason, as was the cornerback position. The Cowboys secondary had a tendency to get torched from time to time by opposing quarterbacks, and it would be nice to get a consistent corner other than just Orlando Scandrick. On the other side, Anthony Brown looked very good at times, but very bad in other situations, with an overall tendency to look bad more often than he looked good.
So, without further ado, here are the newest members of the Dallas Cowboys, acquired via free agency:
CB Brent Grimes (2 yr/$15.5M)
LG Matt Slauson (1 yr/$3.86M)
SS T.J. McDonald, Jr. (3 yr/$6.99M)
WR Danny Amendola (3 yr/$11.2M)
In other news, the Cowboys acquired LOLB Pernell McPhee from Chicago in exchange for LE Taco Charlton and a 1st round pick in this year's draft.
OLB Pernell McPhee
The motives behind the move were simple. As soon as DeMarcus Lawrence and David Irving began tearing it up this year, the Cowboys knew that they had no place for all three defensive ends. They knew they had to trade one of them, and chose Charlton simply because his contract was the cheapest. They loved all three DEs, and wanted to see Taco become a star in Dallas. Instead, he'll play for the Bears, and get a little closer to his hometown of Pickerington, Ohio.Last edited by RoundingThird; 02-05-2018, 04:17 PM.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

Cowboys Team Needs:
DT: All that is needed here is more depth, but a lot of it is needed. Stephen Paea did a pretty good job holding down the fort all season, but playing along side him and a 3-4 scheme was Tyrone Crawford, who isn't even a tackle. The defensive tackle sticks out at as the Cowboys' most glaring positional need, even after a very solid round of free agency.
QB: We're not trying to replace Dak, so everybody calm down here. We just need another body (or two), because as of this very moment, there are only two quarterbacks on the Cowboys roster, the league MVP Dak Prescott, and Kellen Moore. Let's close that noticeable skills gap.
T: On both sides of the line, we have just one tackle. Again, it's not too big of a deal because those guys are Tyron Smith and La'el Collins, but in this day and age, depth is essential. The Cowboys might be forced to take two tackles in this draft, one on each side. This is a gaping hole after Jerry Jones let most of his backup offensive line walk away as free agents.
Other than that, there's no other position that is jumping out to me as needing more personnel. I like where the roster is, but it doesn't hurt to add a couple names here and there to spice things up a bit. It might also be good that we don't have a ton of picks, because to be quite honest, we don't really need them. I did a good job locking down our most valuable pieces on both sides of the ball.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment
