GATORS CHOMP VOLS IN THE 4TH!!!

#14 vs #8. Florida vs Tennessee, this is what College Football is all about.

Tennessee would win the coin toss and elect to kick. JR RB D. Lloyd takes the kick and returns in 101 yds for the score, but a replay shows Lloyd goes out of bounds at the 45 yd line wiping off the scoreboard of 6 points.

Lloyd however shook off the disappointment by taking a handofff 3 plays later in from 11 yds out to put Florida up (7-0).

The Vols answer back late in the 1st Quarter however to tie the game (7-7) as B. Jones finds S. Holman for a 7 yd TD strike.

A West to K. Miller 4 yd TD pass would put Florida back on top early in the 2nd Quarter (14-7), but again the Vols answer back, first with a 20 yd FG to make it (14-10), followed by a safety to make it (14-12) and then with a Jones QB keeper to make it (19-14) with 2:11 to play.

Giving up points on 3 straight series, Coach Kellen Moore knew his team need to turns things around and didn't want to wait till half time to start. After a 10 yd run by L. Anderson, West would complete 4 straight pass's to set up a 4th and goal with less then 5 seconds to play. Faced with a tough decision, Moore sends out the kicking team as E. Martin nails a 26 yd FG to make it (19-17) at the half.

Tennessee would open the 2nd half with ball, but both teams would struggle as the Vols fumble twice in the 3rd, but each time Florida is unable to capitalize as L. West throws 2 INT's. Finally with 1:28 to play in the Quarter Jones finds J. Parks from 2 yds out to give Tennessee the (26-17) lead.

Florida however wouldn't have to wait long to cut into that lead as D. Lloyd takes the kick out of the endzone and through the defense 104 yds for the score. No replay this time folks.. Lloyd has just broken the school record and makes the game (26-24).

The Gators take the lead in the 4th as West finds J. Swain from 15 yds out to make it (31-26), but the Vols answer back as Jones finds J. Freund from 6 yds out to make it (33-31) with 1:28 to play.

Trailing by just 2, Coach Moore knows his team just needs to get within FG range for Martin to win the game, but they were going to have to do it without their starting QB. A hard hit on a sack on 2nd and 2, knocks West out of the game, leaving FR T. Campbell to lead the final drive. The true freshman is unfazed however and completes his first 2 pass's including a 31 yd bomb to Swain. Leading (37-34), Coach Moore elects to go for 2pt and Anderson comes up big bouncing off 2 defenders on his way into the endzone to make it (39-33) with 56 seconds to play.

Leading only by 5, Coach Moore knew his Defense would need to come up big and boy did they deliver as OLB J. Robinson lays a punishing hit on Jones jarring the ball loose and picking up the fumble returning it inside the 10 yd line before going down with 22 seconds left in the game.

A 6 yd run by Anderson sets up a 2nd and goal with 8 seconds to play. A kneel down could end the game, but the BCS computer likes points and D. Lloyd was done scoring them. Lloyd takes the handoff and runs it in for 1 last score.

    FINAL SCORE FLORIDA-47 TENN-33

    KEY PLAYERS
    QB L. West-19/33 293 yds 2 TD 3 INT

Coach Moore, this is one of those games where the final score doesn't do the proximity of it justice. How concerned were you when your starting QB goes down on that comeback drive?

What kind of injury did QB A. West sustain? Is he expected to miss any time?

Does backup QB T. Campbell's heroics and QB A. West 3 interceptions create any QB controversy?

How much confidence do you have heading into Death Valley to take on the #1 LSU Tigers if your starting QB is banged up?

        K-Moore
"To be honest our QB spot is far from set in stone. Both West Campbell have shown abilities to make great plays at times with both their feet and their arms, but at the same time still make some immature throws at times as well. Going into Week 1, we felt like West had the slight edge over Camp just because he had a year under his belt (SO vs FR), but we knew at some point Timmy (Campbell) would get a chance to prove he can play at this level. So I wasn't worried what so ever and had full faith that Timmy could covert the plays to get us within FG range, but he did 1 better and found Swain on a great play."
What kind of injury did QB A. West sustain? Is he expected to miss any time?

        K-Moore
"West's injury was just a stinger and honestly he wanted to go back in, but the staff and myself felt like we had to keep an eye on the big picture. We are wanting to build a foundation of "W's" that leads to a SEC Championship, a Sugar Bowl big and give ourselves a chance to be discussed in the National Title talk. Well a loss today could've put that last hope in jeopardy, Tennessee is no longer a SEC rival with their move out of the conference, so we made the call to have him sit. At this time I don't see the injury having any lasting effects past this week and as long as practice goes well, he will suit up and start against LSU next week"

Does backup QB T. Campbell's heroics and QB A. West 3 interceptions create any QB controversy?

        K-Moore
"I have been telling both players for the past 5 weeks, we need to see more out of each of them and we as a staff expect to see improvement from them. We have kept it no secret we are looking and talking to some of the top recruits in this year's class with the expectations that these guy's will have to earn their right to start. As I have said before, right now the quality of play we have seen from both players have kept us from really naming 1 guy the starter for the rest of the season and it's likely both players will continue to see action throughout the year."

How much confidence do you have heading into Death Valley to take on the #1 LSU Tigers if your starting QB is banged up?
        K-Moore
"To be honest our confidence is high right now. I have never been a player to get a big head and believe myself or my team is unbeatable, because to be honest I have played most of my life as the underdog. Even though we are undefeated and #8 in the nation, most sportswriters are still picking LSU to win, despite the fact they struggled last week against Oklahoma.

Teams are starting to figure out we have a great Running Back in L. Anderson and are starting to key on him when he is on the field. So as a staff it's our job to start getting other guy's involved (Stewart/Lloyd) as well as put in a gameplan with our QB's to make smart choices. They have proven they can make great plays, but with a game against an opponent like LSU it's not about who makes the most great plays, but who makes the least dumb ones."

Thanks for the questions.. Love being able to interact with my followers/readers..

Please anyone else that has questions feel free to ask...

RAM'S WIN 3RD STRAIGHT BORDER WAR

Colorado State coming off their 1st loss of the season, got things back on track in Week 7 with a win over Iowa (49-17), as the Ram's Defense comes up with 3 INT's to slow down the Hawkeyes Offense. For CSU it was all Anthony Clayton. The Senior QB was almost perfect completing 19/23 for 152 yds and 2 TD's through the air, well also rushing the ball 15 times for 123 yds and a TD on the ground.

SR T. Gaines continued to fill in for the injury plagued Cedric Hayes at Running Back and had the best game of his career carrying the ball 17 times for 74 yds and 3 scores.

The Ram's then rejoined the Top-10 in the latest BCS Poll at #10 after winning their 3rd straight Iron Boot vs Border War rival Wyoming in Week 8 FINAL SCORE CSU-48 WYOMING-24

QB A. Clayton wasn't nearly as perfect vs the Cowboys (15/26 231 yds 2 TD and 2 INT) in the air, but Clayton showed off why he is considered one of the best dual threat QB's in the game, as he carried the ball a career high 19 times for a career high 141 yds and 2 scores.

Clayton now leads the team in rushing with 97 carries for 501 yds and 6 TD.

Soph RB Cedric Hayes returned to action and almost matched Clayton's carry total with 18 well also breaking the 100 yd mark with 104 yds and a score.

SR T. Gaines also had a good day with 7 carries for 44 yds and a score.

As a team CSU rushed for a season high 294 yds with 4 TD's on 46 carries.

A huge part of the Ram's success came on 3rd down as they converted 11/13 opportunities well the Cowboys were just 3/9.

            GATORS RESUME READS NATIONAL TITLE!!

For the 2nd time this season the Florida Gators have beaten the #1 team in the country.

Florida opened up the game with the ball, but the offense stalled and the Gators were forced to kick a 27 yd FG to make it (3-0). LSU also struggled on and would also settle for 3pts (35 yd FG) to tie the game (3-3).

However 2 Tiger turnovers in the 2nd quarter would blow this game wide open.

Florida would find the endzone early in the 2nd Quarter as QB L. West keeps the ball and scrambles in from 4 yds out to make it (10-3), then after a Tiger fumble E. Martin would add another 3 points on a 25 yd FG to make it (13-3).

Then with 50 seconds to play K. Anderson takes the handoff and runs over 2 defenders from 3 yds out to make it (20-3).

LSU wasn't going to just go away quietly though but QB D. Lumpkin's pass comes up short as Linebacker K. Chavez comes up with the INT giving the Gators one more chance at a score and with 20 seconds to play West finds #1 WR D. Washington on a 31 yd bomb to make it (27-3) at the half.

LSU would open the 2nd half with the ball but the offense still failed to move the ball much and would settle for another FG (36 yds) to make it (27-6), Florida on the other hand had zero issues moving the ball as Anderson continues to show why he is in the Heisman talk, as he dives in from 2 yd out for his 2nd score of the game. The Gators leading (33-6) would go for the 2pt conversion and fail.

LSU would finally find the endzone in the 4th with 3 minutes to play and then after a Anderson fumble the Tigers would score again to cut into the lead (33-20), but after a failed onside kick with just over 2 minutes to play, Coach Moore would go back to his ground game forcing LSU to burn all 3 of their timeouts, and with less then a minute to play it was L. Anderson making up for his earlier fumble taking the handoff and sweeping past the 3 defenders on his way for his 3rd score of the game (5 yd run).

            FINAL SCORE FLORIDA-40 LSU-20

            KEY PLAYERS
            QB L. West-18/24 309 yds 1 TD, 1 rushing TD
            RB K. Anderson-36 carries 132 yds 3 TD
            WR D. Washington-5 rec 103 yds 1 TD
            WR K. Miller-6 rec 106 yds
            WR J. Swain-5 rec 78 yds

WITH THE WIN FLORIDA MOVES UP 6 SPOTS TO #2 IN THE NATION!!!THEY WILL TAKE ON INSTATE SEC RIVAL MIAMI IN THE SWAMP IN WEEK 8. THE HURRICANES ARE UNDEFEATED (6-0) AND HAVE TAKEN OVER THE GATORS PREVIOUS #8 RANKING.

GATORS VS CANES WHO WILL BE PERFECT?

The Florida vs Miami Rivalry at one time was considered as big and as heated as the "U" vs FSU, but in 1987, with Miami being in the ACC and Florida being in the SEC the rivalry sorta died and went away. Now it's time to get this thing heated back up.

Miami has owned the Gators in the past 10 meetings with Florida's last victory coming in 2008 when they won the the National Title led by Tim Tebow.

The Hurricanes won the toss and elected to kick, which is fine cause it seems like that has happened pretty much all year, and like the rest of the country, the "U" had no answer for RB L. Anderson as he opens up the scoring with a 7 yd TD run (7-0). Florida then would extend the lead to (10-0) as E. Martin hits a season long 46 yd FG.

Miami would manage to put points on the board at the end of the 1st Quarter as C. Riley finds A. White from 9 yds out (10-7).

But like their game against LSU, the Gators Offense explodes in the 2nd Quarter as QB L. West throws 3 TD's (2 yd and 28 yd) to D. Washington and (38 yd) to D. Holloway to extend the lead to (30-7) with less then 2 minutes to play in the half.

Miami however was ready to wave the white flag yet as Riley hits J. Armstrong on a 59 yd bomb to make it (30-14) at the half.

Neither team would manage to move the ball in the 3rd Quarter as both QB's throw 2 INT's, but Florida with less then a minute to play manages yet another long 46 yd FG by Martin to make it (33-14).

In the 4th, West would throw his 4th TD of the day finding TE/FB D. Vinson on a 7 yd slant play to make it (40-14) with 6 minutes to play in the game.

Again Miami continued to fight back as White takes a handoff and runs in from 4 yds out to make it (40-20) after a failed PAT attempt with 3:32 to play. Miami however did somewhat wave the flag of surrender when they choose not to attempt a onside kick, leaving Florida the opportunity to run out the clock. After taking off almost 3 minutes, Coach Moore sends out the kicking team 1 more time as Martin connects for his 3rd FG of the game.

              FINAL SCORE FLORIDA-43 MIAMI-20

              KEY PLAYERS
              QB L. West-26/50 368 yds 4 TD 2 INT
              RB L. Anderson-14 carries 101 yds 1 TD
              WR D. Washington-9 rec 115 yds 2 TD
              WR D. Holloway-4 rec 87 yds 1 TD

              L. Anderson now has surpassed his last year carry total (218 vs 226) and has more TD's (14 vs 16). He has also surpassed the 1000 yd barrier with 1078 yds as he continues to hold onto the #1 spot in the Heisman watch.

WITH THE WIN FLORIDA MOVES TO 8-0 AND STAYS #2 IN THE POLLS BEHIND 8-0 OHIO STATE. COULD WE SEE A GATORS VS FORMER HC U. MEYER MATCHUP IN THE NATIONAL TITLE GAME???

                WEEK 9 RECRUITING RECAP

With both CSU and Florida having a Bye Week in Week 9, it appears to be a great time to update you on how recruiting is going this season.

                FLORIDA
The Gators success on the field, fueled by the hiring of Head Coach Kellen Moore has led to success off the field as well as Florida currently has 6 verbal commitments, including 1 5* Recruit and 5-4* Recuits.
The Class currently ranks #4 in the nation.

5* Athlete Marshall Patterson was the #9 Ranked Athlete in this year's recruiting class. At 6'0 and 242lbs this N. Myrtle Beach South Carolina native played both OLB and TE for the past 3 years on his varsity team.

                Coach Moore on Patterson
"At this time the plan is to play him on Defense, however we are unsure if he will stay at OLB, transition to a pass rusher DE or possibly move to SS"
Joining Robinson as Athletes still looking for a position are two more Florida kids.

4*/#33 Overall Lawrence Patterson (6'0 213lbs) from Aventura and
4*/#36 Overall Anthony Freeman (6'0 196lbs) from Kings Point.

Coach Moore on Patterson and Freeman
"Honestly right now it's pretty clear to the staff that Patterson will end up on Offense, and most likely as a WR, but he has shown the ability to carry the ball after rushing for almost 800 yds this season after taking over as the #1 RB on his team, If Anderson leaves early, he could end up with a shot at becoming the #2 RB behind Lloyd next season. It's also very clear to us that Freeman's future is at CB. The kid has great coverage skills and speed. He could also see action as a return man taking over for Lloyd in 2 years"
With 3 players still uncertain about their position's Florida knows exactly where the other 3 will play with 2 of them most likely seeing action next season.

4* Corey Dawson of Bellair Florida is another instate kid who choose to stay close to home and come to a school in need of his talents. Ranked the #8 RB in the country, Dawson has the size (6'1 198 lbs) to be a feature back in a year or 2.

                Coach Moore
"Corey's game films look great. He doesn't have blazing speed but he knows how to run between the tackles and make his cut when it's time. Well I don't expect him to put up huge #'s as a freshman I do believe he could make the team as our #3, or even as the backup if Anderson leaves early"
4* Darren Brown-Casselberry FL, was the #5 WR in the nation and at 6'3 210 lbs he is built to become a big time target for whoever is tossing the ball next season. With the Top-5 WR's all graduating and only 3 returning WR's on the roster, Brown will most likely battle current Redshirts J. Glover and David Rivero for the #2/#3/#4 jobs, with RS Soph Ryan Thompson (84 OVR) expected to take on the #1 role.

                Coach Moore
"We loose a ton of talent next season, but we have 3 really talented kids returning, and we really feel like Brown has the skills to be a good one. Our offense thrives on kids with good size and the ability to get down field and Brown has those skills.
The last recruit is probably the one Coach Moore is most excited about.

4* QB Matt James from Candler-McAfee Georgia was the #3 QB in this year's class. At 6'2 190 lbs, James is the perfect balance of speed and size. Scouts project him as a 79 Overall, with 79 speed, 89 THP and 87 THA.

                Coach Moore
"To be honest with you both West and Campbell have similar skills sets and abilities, but neither has run away with the starting job this year, so we were upfront and honest with James. If we like what we see this off-season, there is a good chance he won't be redshirted next season."
Florida has 18 Seniors this year (11 Offense-5 of them being WR, and 7 Defense-3 OLB and 2 DT). With several offensive playmakers already signed and several others close, Kellen's main focuse will shift to the Defense.

                COLORADO STATE

Well Kellen is finding success in Florida landing instate kids and a possible QB of the future, brother Kirby is not finding the same success in Fort Collins.

4* SS Brandon Collins the states #1 Recruit has picked Michigan over staying close to home, and 4* DT the #3 Recruit instate has picked Texas over the Rams as well.

Kirby however didn't strike out completely instate, as he did manage to sign the #2 Recruit.

4* Athlete Austin Wilson out of Boulder picked CSU over Colorado and Air Force. Listed as the #23 Overall Athlete, Wilson has the size to play multiple spots on the field (6'3 242lbs) lining up as both a FB and TE.

                Kirby
"We really like Wilson's ability to play both spots. He has looked great running over defenders taking the ball out of the backfield but also has the size and hands we like out of our TE's. Well we don't have a immediate need at either spot, I expect Austin to be a big part of our offense moving forward"
Joining Wilson as the only other Recruit to sign by Week 9 (Current class ranking is #70), is fellow 4* Aarron Grimes. Grimes is a WR ranked #23 in the nation out of Milpitas CA and comes in at 6'0 179 lbs.

                Kirby
"We are really excited to land Aarron. He had some bigtime schools looking at him (Illinois,South Carolina and Pitt). Well he doesn't have the current size we are looking for as a #1 or even #2, he fits what we like as a #3 slot WR which is not what lot of our returning players next year offer. RS SO Brett Jackson is 6'6 and more of a Redzone threat and FR Ryan Lewis is 6'4 and will most likely be our #2. JR JC transfer A. Tidwelll will most likely have the #3 spot locked down next year, giving A.G. a chance to redshirt and be a potential 4 year starter for us".
Colorado State currently only has 14 Seniors on the team (8 Offense with 4 being WR's) and 6 Defense (2 CB and 2 OLB). However O-Line doesn't have much depth and could use a upgrade so that is where alot of Kirby's focus will be the rest of the season.

Okay I am all caught up on posting, and I am headed out of town for the weekend, tomorrow morning.

Love the questions by War Daddy Rambo. If you got any questions about the team's, recruiting, chances of winning Conference titles, remaining games on the schedules whatever feel free to post and I will answer when I return.

Until then thanks for taking time to check out my thread and follow along. Its been a crazy season so far. I honestly didn't think I would have as instant success as I am having with Florida, and thought despite Kirby being a new coach, I thought my past success, might lead more recruits to want to check out CSU, but so far that hasn't happened.

WILL RAMS REPEAT AS BIG 12 AND FIESTA BOWL CHAMPS??

When Head Coach Kellen Moore announced he was leaving CSU for Florida most assumed there would be a drop off from the Ram's 13-1 finish last season. But the hiring of former OC Kirby Moore has derailed any talks of the inability to repeat. Sitting at (11-1) and ranked #6 in the country, CSU has a strong possibility of matching last season's win totals and finish in the Top-5.

After a Week 9 Bye, Colorado State has gone on to win 5 straight to close out the regular season putting the Ram's right back into the Big 12 title game vs (8-4) Nebraska.

Here is a recap of how the games played out.

                    WEEK 10-@ IOWA STATE
The Rams dominated both sides of the ball in a 31-10 victory.
QB A. Clayton was 17/30 for 283 yds with 1 TD and 1 INT well also adding 79 yds and a score on the ground.

RB C. Hayes added 76 yds and 2 scores on 16 carries
WR D. Flanagan continues to be Clayton's goto target with 7 rec for 165 yds and the 1 TD.

                    WEEK 11-VS #33 WESTERN KENTUCKY
The Hilltoppers entered the game ranked in the Top-25, but had the same level of success as ISU as the Rams cruised to a 35-10 win, despite QB A. Clayton throwing 4 INT's in the game. (Clayton 11/19 185 yds 1 TD 4 INT).

Backup QB J. Magnum who has seen very limited PT this year after replacing Clayton in the starting lineup after last seasons 10 week stint on the DL, looked amazing in relief as he completes 10/15 for 157 yds and a TD in the 4th.

RB C. Hayes continues to impress as he carries the ball a season high 38 times for 107 yds with 3 TD's.

                    WEEK 12-@ AIR FORCE

The Falcons scored 10 unanswered in the 4th as they attempted a comeback to win the Falcon-Ram trophy, but in the end they came up short losing (42-35).

QB A. Clayton rebounded from his 4 INT game completing 24/34 for 302 yds with 5 TD's to go with 2 INT. Clayton also led the ground attack with 85 yds.

Soph WR W. Matthews was named National player of the Week, as he caught 16 passes for a career high 264 yds including all 5 TD's. His 264 yds was 17 yds shy of B. Baker's school record 281 set last season.

                    WEEK 13 @ OKLAHOMA STATE

One week after surviving the Falcons comeback, this time it was the Ram's turn to be the spoiler, as CSU scores 22 points in the 4th quarter to beat the Cowboys (43-40)!!!

QB A. Clayton goes 14/26 for 240 yds with 3 TD's in the air, well also adding 58 yds and a score on the ground.

WR D. Flangan who was MIA last game shows back up grabbing 6 rec for 119 yds, but fellow Senior 6'6 B. Davis snags both redzone scores (2 rec 44 yds 2 TD)

                    WEEK 14-VS TULSA

It was a white out blizzard in Fort Collins for Senior Day as the snow dumped all game, but in the end it didn't really matter as Clayton and Hayes handle the load carrying the Rams to the 28-16 win.

Clayton finished the day 18/34 for 316 yds with 2 TD and 2 INT, well also adding 72 yds and a score on the ground.

Hayes was a workhorse with 31 carries for 115 yds and 1 score as well.

On the season Clayton has now passed for 3145 yds with 27 TD and 18 INT threw the air, well also leading the team with 853 yds rushing and 9 scores.

SO C. Hayes in his first year as the starting RB, has 184 carries for 693 yds and 10 TD's.

SR WR D. Flanagan leads the team in receiving with 77 rec for 1079 yds and 8 TD's, but SO W. Matthews huge game in Week 12 has him up to 54 rec for 750 yds and a team leading 9 TD's.

GATORS FALL IN WEEK 10 AS PERFECT SEASON IS OVER!!

Ranked #2 in the country coming off their Week 9 Bye week, Coach Kellen Moore knew his team had a huge target on their back as they traveled to take on rival Georgia.

The Bulldogs were having a down year entering the game unranked with a (2-5) record including 4 straight loss's including a OT loss to ULM at home the week before.

                      K-Moore-
Sometimes the worse time to play a team is when they are at their lowest point. Georgia had 3 tough Top-25 loss's before the ULM game (#22 USF,#3 Clemson,#10 Tennessee) so we knew they were going to come out with nothing to lose.
Georgia took a early (14-0) lead but a 99 yd kickoff return by D. Lloyd followed by a West to Holloway pass catch score would notch the game up (14-14) before Georgia's T. Blair nails a 51 yd FG to make it (17-14) going into the 2nd Quarter.

After another Blair FG to make it (20-14), Florida would take the lead as West hit's J. Swain on a 7 yd slant play to make it (21-20) and with 30 seconds to play it was the Gators adding to the lead again as E. Martin kicks a 37 yd FG to make it (24-20) at the half.

Georgia however retakes the lead early in the 3rd Quarter on a 7 yd TD run to make it (27-24), but after another great return by Llloyd, it was SR RB J. Stewart breaking off his biggest run of his season with a 61 yd score to make it (31-27).

The Bulldogs however were not done though as they go to the air picking up a score to make it (34-31) as we head to the 4th.

With starting RB L. Anderson hobbled by sprained ankle, it was J. Stewart again coming up big as he scores from 6 yds out to make it (38-34) with 4 minutes to play in the game.

After failing to pickup a 1st down on their next series it looked like the Gators were going to survive the Bulldogs upset, as L. West guides the offense onto the field with under 3 minutes to play leading by 4.

But a big stop by the Bulldogs in the backfield left the Gators facing a 3rd and 10 from the 10 with less then a minute to play.

Logic would say, run the ball, kick the FG and take your chances with a 7 point lead with under a minute to play, but instead. QB L. West drops back fires a pass in the direction of D. Washington only to have it picked off and returned 90 yds by the Bulldogs defender as Georgia takes the (41-34) lead with 26 seconds to play.

Armed with all 3 timeout still, West had a chance at redemption after completing a 36 yd pass to D. Vinson, but West's 2nd pass attempt finds the hands of Georgia's G. Cleveland as the perfect season fades away.

                      FINAL SCORE #2 FLORIDA-34 GEORGIA-41

QB L. West finished the game just 9/15 for 169 yds with 2 TD and 3 INT in the loss.

RB K. Anderson did manage 34 carries for 183 yds in 3 quarters of play before leaving the game with a injury. (luckily it was just a sprain)

RB J. Stewart finished with 87 yds and 2 scores on 6 carries.

                      WEEK 12 VS VANDERBILT

Gators Defense carries team to victory. Coach Moore is well known for his offensive fireworks, but today it was the Defense coming up big, as they hold the Commadores to just 7 points in the (30-7) win.

RB K. Anderson continues to add to his Heisman type #'s as he carries the ball 32 times for 120 yds and 1 score on the ground, well also catching a TD in the air. (4 rec 36 yds)

FB S. Adams had a huge night as he moves to TE to fill in for starter D. Vinson who is knocked out of the game. Adams ends up with 3 rec for 102 yds.

WR D. Washington continues to add to his school record breaking season with 7 rec for 119 yds as well.

                      WEEK 13 @ FIU

The Gators dominated the Panthers on both sides of the ball in a (34-13) win to improve to (10-1) on the year and rejoin the Top-10 at #8.

Florida combined for 293 yds rushing and 3 TD's on the ground as backup QB T. Campbell lead the team with 12 carries for 51 yds and a score.

RB K. Anderson was limited to a season low 11 carries but did manage 73 yds before leaving the game yet again.

Fellow RB J. Stewart breaks off another huge run this time taking it 78 yds for a score as he finishes the game with 5 carries for 93 yds and 2 TD's.

FLORIDA WILL TAKE ON #11 (8-3) FSU IN THE SUNSHINE SHOWDOWN NEXT WEEK.

                        RIVALRY WEEK!!!

Week 14 Rivalry games are comes of the best/most heated games all season, and when it comes to Florida vs FSU there is no love lost here.

Georgia vs Georgia Tech is big
Oregon vs Oregon State is also fun to watch.
Washington and Washington State, you can typically throw out the records as both teams come to play.
Ohio State vs Michigan is huge.
UCLA vs USC , Alabama vs Auburn, LSU vs Arkansas, Clemson vs South Carolina, Stanford vs Notre Dame, Arizona vs Arizona State, the list goes on and on.

The Gators dreams of a National Title were over, but beating their rival, securing a Spot in the SEC title game, and a spot in the Orange Bowl were still in sight.

FSU took the early (14-0) lead but L. West would find K. Miller on the first of 3 1st half TD's to make it (14-7).

Another West to Miller TD pass and catch makes it (14-14) early in the 2nd Quarter. Both teams trade FG's as FSU's S. Caldwell hits from 48 yds out, followed by Florida's E. Martin hitting from 32 yds to make it (17-17) with less then 3 minutes in the half.

With 16 seconds to play in the half. L. West hits Miller for TD #3 giving the Gators the (24-17) lead going into the locker rooms.

Florida would add to the lead on the opening drive of the 2nd half as RB L. Anderson dives in from 1 yd out to make it (31-17). FSU would fire back as D. Williamson hits M. Brooks on a 7 yd slant to make it (31-24) with 3 minutes to go in the 3rd, but L. West wasn't done making plays. West showed he can make the right decision sometimes as he tucks the ball and runs in from 7 yds out to make it (38-24) as we head into the 4th.

A 34 yd TD run by J. Stanley makes it (38-31) 6 minutes to play. Leading by a score, Coach Moore knew he wanted to take some time off the clock, so he called on RB K. Anderson and he shows why he is one of the nation's best as he carries the ball 8 times on a 12 play 72 yd drive including a 4 yd TD run to make it (45-31), leaving 3:06 on the clock.

After a turnover on 4th down, FSU was left watching as Florida goes back to the ground game grinding off precious time before settling for a 28 yd FG by Martin with 1:12 to play.

Now trailing by 3 scores, FSU again is forced to go the air, but again they come up empty with a turnover on downs.

                        FINAL SCORE FLORIDA-48 FSU-31

                        KEY PLAYERS
                        QB L. West-22/34 312 yds 3 TD, 58 yds rushing 1 TD
                        RB K. Anderson-28 carries 116 yds 2 TD
                        WR D. Washington-7 rec 141 yds
                        WR K. Miller-6 rec 70 yds 3 TD

WITH THE WIN, FLORIDA MOVES TO 11-1 ON THE SEASON AND UP 1 SPOT TO #7. THEY WILL TAKE ON #3 CLEMSON IN THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. FLORIDA BEAT CLEMSON IN WEEK 1 (40-16) SO I AM SURE THE TIGERS WILL BE LOOKING FOR REVENGE.

#2 Texas A&M also is a perfect (12-0) this season and with 1 more win over (6-6) Texas Tech in the American Conference Championship they will earn their chance to play for a National Title.

#7 (11-1) Florida will rematch against #3 (11-1) Clemson for the right to be crowned SEC Champs and earn the automatic bid into the Sugar Bowl.

GATORS PULL OFF UPSET FOR 2ND TIME THIS SEASON!!

The Kellen Moore era of Florida Gator football kicked off with a bang as Moore's Gators pulled off the upset in Week 1 beating then #1 ranked Clemson who was coming off a undefeated National Title season.

After their Week 1 loss, the Tigers went to win 11 straight working their way back to #3 in the BCS Polls heading into the SEC Championship rematch game, well the Florida came in having won 4 straight after their disappointing Week 10 loss to Georgia landing them at (11-1) and #7 in the polls.

                            GAME RECAP

Both offenses struggled in the opening quarter as Florida turns the ball over twice on L. West INT's but the Tigers fail to capitalize. Finally with 6 seconds to play in the 1st, it was West finding D. Washington on a 5 yd slant to put the Gators up (7-0).

Florida would then add to the lead as RB K. Anderson breaks off a 31 yd TD running over 5 defenders on his way to the endzone to make it (14-0).

Clemson would answer back with a 12 yd TD run of their own to make it (14-7) and after a 3rd INT by West the Tigers would tie the game on a 1 yd TD pass from backup QB V. Barron. (14-14)

Barron replaced starter D. Williams early in the 2nd Quarter after Williams took a big hit on a sack by D. Ford.

With the passing game struggling, Florida would stick to their ground game and as JR D. Lloyd showed he can score TD's as well as he takes the toss 6 yds for the score, making it (21-14) with 1:31 to play.

Clemson would fail to pickup a 1st down before the half with with 23 seconds to play were forced to punt. After a nice 16 yd return by Lloyd, West would hit Washington on a pass on the sideline to set up a 51 yd FG by E. Martin with 2 seconds on the clock making it (24-14) Florida as we go to halftime.

The Clemson opened up the 2nd half with the ball and quickly put 7 points on the board as Barron keeps it himself on a 3rd and goal to make it (24-21).

With the passing game still struggling, Clemson would load the box to force the Gators to throw, and once again West would come up throwing his 4th INT of the game, this time a "Pick 6" as A. Joseph takes it back 15 yds for the score giving the Tigers the (28-24) lead.

K-Moore had seen enough from his starting QB, as West heads to the bench and is replaced by FR T. Campbell. Campbell (also known for his INT's) comes out with a solid game plan completing 5 of 6 pass's including a 25 yd bomb to D. Washington to put Florida back on top (31-28), but with 40 seconds to play in the 3rd, Barron finds G. Pitts for their 2nd hookup of the game putting Clemson back on top (35-31) as we head to the 4th.

Florida would open up the 4th Quarter action with a 11 yd TD pass from Campbell to J. Swain to make it (38-35) with 6 minutes to play in the game.

Clemson would tie the game on a 30 yd FG after completing 2-4th down plays as they shread over 4 minutes off the clock.

Tied (38-38) with 1:58 to play, Clemson kicks the ball into the endzone hoping to hold Florida and play out the game in Overtime, but D. Lloyd showed why he is the National Returnman of the Year" as he takes the kick 5 yds deep in the endzone out and down the sideline for a 55 yd return..

Needing just a Field Goal to win, and with Martin already having connected on a 51 yd kick just before the half, K-Moore went back to the ground game as L. Anderson looked to add to his Heisman resume with back to back 1st down runs. With still over a minute to play, Moore continued to pound away at the Tigers with Anderson and the JR RB showed why he is among the nations best as he comes up with another big run for a 1st down and then another before finally finishing off the drive with 12 seconds to play with his 21st TD of the season.

It was a tough day for West, by T-Camp did a great job of coming in and switching things up and making smart reads. Anderson was huge once again for us... If you asked me back in Week 1 if I thought we would beat Clemson twice this season and win the SEC championship game my 1st year here, my answer would've been "Only in my dreams". So this really was a dream come true."

RAMS WIN BACK TO BACK BIG 12 TITLES!!

Sometimes if your name is K.Moore your just that good...

When Kellen Moore walked out of his office in Fort Collins leaving behind a Big 12 Title and Fiesta Bowl trophy, he knew he was walking away from a team that had the ability to repeat. Knowing he little brother would be taking over his office and leading the team in their quest was the only thing that help ease the pain of not sticking around.

                              GAME RECAP

Nebraska won the toss and elected to kick giving CSU the first opportunity to put points on the board and SR QB A. Clayton accepts the challenge as he keeps the ball himself and scrambles 47 yds on the 3rd play of the game. (7-0).

The Rams then quickly add 7 more as FS K. Rischwalski grabs the "Pick 6" and returns it 68 yds for the score (14-0).

Nebraska finally puts points on the board on their 2nd series as T. Pruitt kicks a 21 yd FG to make it (14-3).

CSU answers back though as Clayton shows he can also make plays with his arm finding W. Matthews on a 7 yd strike to make it (21-3) with 4 minutes to play still in the opening Quarter.

The Cornhuskers finally manage to put the ball in the endzone as J. Jones finds N. Rush on a 8 yd scoring strike (21-10).

CSU adds to their lead early in the 2nd as Clayton finds TE S. Romero on a 5 yd strike (28-10), well Nebraska's QB J. Jones goes back to N. Rush for their 2nd hookup of the game to make it (28-17). Finally with less then a minute to play in the half, CSU manages to tack on 3 more as P. Loves nails the 21 yd FG (31-17).

CSU owns the 3rd Quarter as C. Hayes dives in for a score (38-17) and then CB A. Skinner takes another Jones INT and turns it into a "Pick 6" as he returns it 69 yds for the score.(45-17).

Nebraska would manage a score late in the 4th, but by then it was to little to late.
