    FLORIDA JUMPS TO #1!!!

After a dominating Week 1 performance @USF on the road, the Florida Gators returned home to the friendly confines of the Swamp winning back to back games before a big win over Top-10 rival #8 Tennessee on the road. Florida then improved to 5-0 on the season as they dominated former SEC member Kentucky back at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Florida is currently enjoying a 9 game winning streak in the swamp which has quickly moved up the list to #3 as the toughest place to play on in college football. Here is a recap of the past 4 games.

    VS FAU

A 21 point 2nd Quarter put the Gators in a commanding lead and it wasn't for the Owls 14 points in the 4th, this game was a major blowout. (45-27)

QB L. West struggled completing just 6/11 pass's for 105 yds with 2 TD and 3 INT before being relived by SO T. Campbell. Campbell came in like a man trying to win a starting job as he completed 17/22 for 301 yds with 2 TD and 1 INT.

RB L. Anderson continues to put up Heisman type #'s as he carries the ball 28 times for 143 yds and 2 scores.

RS SO R. Thompson led the way among the WR's with 11 rec for 206 yds and 2 scores.

    VS UCF
The Golden Knights tried to pull off the upset leading 28-24 going into the 4th, but L. West comes up big with a 7 yd TD pass to J. Glover to put the Gators on top (31-28).

West played much better this week completing 18/35 for 270 yds with 3 TD's and no INT's..

Anderson continues to showcase his NFL feature back abilities with 22 carries for 136 yds and 1 TD. Backup RB D. Llloyd also got 10 carries for 60 yds.

Freshman TE A. Baker had a solid game with 6 rec for 117 yds and a score well R. Thompson added 6 rec for 95 yds and a score as well.

    @ #8 TENNESSEE

Once a much bigger rivalry when the Vols were in the SEC, this one has died down a bit the past couple years, and today most Vol fans couldn't even tell you what happened in the 2nd half.

Tennessee hung in their with 4 minutes to go in the half tied (14-14), but the Gators manage to put up back to back scores late in the 2nd Quarter to take a (28-14) lead into the locker room.

The 2nd half belonged to the Gator's Defense, as they produced 5 turnovers (3 fumbles and 2 INT), as Florida rolled (45-14)

QB T. Campbell took over for a injuried L. West (3/5 54 yds) and completed 18/30 for 316 yds with 1 TD and 2 INT in relief. Campbell also added a TD on the ground as well.

RB K. Anderson (30 carries 90 yds 3 TD) continues to dominated opponents, well teammate D. Lloyd helped keep him fresh with 14 carries for 54 yds and a TD as well.

WR R. Thompson continues a record setting type season as he has 9 rec for 181 yds and the 1 TD.

TE A. Baker added 6 rec for 77 yds well RS FR WR D. Rivero had 4 rec for 75 yds.

    VS (3-1) KENTUCKY

Playing as the #1 team in the country, the Gators received a huge target on their back and the Wildcats came to town looking to pull off the upset.

Kentucky actually would lead a the half (24-21) after scoring 3 straight times in the 2nd Quarter.

The Gator D however would come alive in the 2nd half, pitching the shutout as the Gators rolled the Wildcats (42-24)

QB T. Campbell made his first start of the season and completed 13/21 for 189 yds and 3 TD's, well also adding another score on the ground.

RB K. Anderson once again dominated the ground game with 20 carries for 143 yds (7.1 avg) with 1 TD.. Anderson also caught a TD pass.

TE A. Baker had 2 rec for 57 yds with 1 TD.

UP NEXT #1 (5-0) FLORIDA WILL HOST #10 (4-1) LSU

        RAM'S PERFECTION ENDS IN OT!!!

Colorado State's dream of playing a National Title game, most likely ended in Week 2 as the Ram's fell to Top-25 ranked Washington in Overtime.

The Huskies opened the game with a 52 yd FG on their opening drive then added a pair of TD's to take a (17-0) lead into the half.

        J. Mangum however answered back firing 2 TD pass's (33 yd to Jackson and 26 yd to Matthews) well S. Davis added a 47 yd FG to tie the game (17-17) as we head to the 4th.

Washington opened the 4th with another TD pass but missed the extra point making it (23-17).

CSU took the lead on a 11 yd TD run by SR D. Nelson who took over at RB after starter C. Hayes left the game with a injury (24-23). The Rams then extended the lead to (27-23) with 3:11 to play as Davis hits another FG from 41 yds out.

The Huskies though answer back to take the lead with 2:16 to play as QB C. Griffin finds M. Tompkins on a 38 yd bomb (30-27).

Mangum would lead the Ram's out for a 2 minute drive that results in a 45 yd FG by S. Davis with 6 seconds left in the game (30-30).

In Overtime Washington holds CSU to yet another Davis FG, and on their series they punch it into the endzone on a 9 yd run by J. Bray.

        FINAL SCORE CSU-33 UW-36

        KEY PLAYERS
        QB J. Mangum-12/22 179 yds 2 TD 1 INT
        RB C. Hayes-10 carries 53 yds
        RB D. Nelson-15 carries 62 yds 1 TD
        QB/RB B. Carter-7 carries 67 yds
        WR B. Jackson-4 rec 83 yds 1 TD
        WR W. Matthews-3 rec 35 yds 1 TD

WITH THE LOSS CSU FALLS TO #10 IN THE TOP-25 POLLS

        RAM'S WIN 3 STRAIGHT

The Ram's loss to the Huskies in Week 2 turned into a double whammy as starting RB Cedric Hayes was declared to have a torn hamstring that would cause him to miss most if not all of the rest of the season.

Hayes was named NCAA Player of the Week in Week 1 after rushing for over 200 yds with 4 TD's in the Ram's win.

With Hayes out of action, many assumed Coach Kirby Moore would turn to his prized recruit from last season in 5* RB Shaun Richard (79 OVR), but Moore currently has different plans.

        Moore
Well losing Hayes is a huge blow to our team and our gameplan, we have talent behind him besides Richard. David Nelson (83 OVR,94 SPD) is a solid runner just with limited PT (21 carries last season but did have a 7.6 AVG) and we really like what we have seen from converted WR Justin Espinosa (73 OVR). We also believe that QB Brian Carter (89 SPD) can and will see some action in the backfield with Jakari.
        WEEK 3 VS MISSOURI

        FINAL SCORE CSU-49 MISSOURI-35

QB J. Mangum showed that his breakout season as a true freshman 2 years ago was no fluke as he completes 15/23 for 307 yds and 6 TD's!!!

RB D. Nelson looked amazing in his first start carrying the ball a team high 21 times for 140 yds (6.6 avg).

WR W. Matthews led the team with 6 rec for 88 yds and 3 TD
WR A. Tidwell added 5 rec for 78 yds and 2 scores
WR B. Jackson showed big play ability with 2 rec for 94 yds including a 53 yd TD.

        WEEK 4 VS TCU

        FINAL SCORE CSU-30 TCU-23

The Hornfrogs made it a 1 score game with 23 seconds to play after settling for a 23 yd FG, but failed to secure the onside kick.

CSU led at the half (24-6) but couldn't mount any type of offense in the 2nd half setting for a pair of S. Davis FG's (37 and 41 yds)

QB J. Mangum was 23/33 for 268 yds and 3 TD
RB D. Nelson was limited to just 8 carries for 34 yds
RB J. Espinosa led the way with 12 carries for 67 yds (5.5 avg)
WR B. Jackson led the team with 7 rec 87 yds

        WEEK 5 @ OKLAHOMA (1-3)

It was a defensive battle. The loss of C. Hayes hasn't been noticed in the win/loss column but has had a huge impact on the scoreboard.

Oklahoma opened the game with a TD as T. Anderson takes it in from 12 yds out.

Mangum answeres back as he finds Tidwell on a 6 yd slant to make it (7-7) as the game goes into the locker room at that.

Oklahoma opens up the 2nd half with another Anderson TD, and CSU answers back as Mangum finds W. Matthews on a 34 yd bomb to make it (14-14).

The Sooners take the lead yet again with 5:28 to play (21-14) as S. Pollard snags a J. Christensen on a 3rd and goal.

With Mangum struggling (4 INT), Coach Moore looks to a run game that had produced just 33 yds in 3 1/2 quarters and D. Nelson answers as he caps off a 13 play drive with a 5 yd TD run.

Forced to make a tough decision. Coach Moore decides to try for the 2pt conversion and the lead vs settling for a tie and potentially Overtime.

The play backfires as the Rams fail to convert and now trail (21-20) with 3:39 to play.

Oklahoma just needs to run out the clock, but the Ram's Defense is ready and holds the Sooners to a 4 and out. Now with just over 2 minutes to play, the Ram's have 1 last chance. After picking up a huge 4th and 2 to keep the drive alive and put them in FG position, Nelson comes up big with a 12 yd gain. Mangum then hits Matthews to set up a 1st and goal and 2 plays later its Mangum to Tidwell for the win...

        FINAL SCORE CSU-26 OKLAHOMA-21

        KEY PLAYERS
        QB J. Mangum-34/49 yds 498 yds 3 TD 4 INT
        RB D. Nelson-20 carries 45 yds 1 TD
        WR A. Tidwell-10 rec 119 yds 2 TD
        WR W. Matthews-7 rec 146 yds 1 TD
        WR B. Jackson-6 rec 98 yds

NOW (4-1) ON THE YEAR, THE RAMS MOVE BACK UP TO #6 IN THE POLLS. THEY PLAY BORDER WAR RIVAL WYOMING (2-3) NEXT WEEK

GATORS DOMINATE TIGERS IN TOP-10 SHOWDOWN!!

For a 2nd straight year, the Florida Gators played former SEC rival LSU in a Top-10 showdown and for the 2nd year in a row, the Gators dominated..

LSU loaded the box forcing SO QB T. Campbell to go to the air early and often but it was Heisman hopeful RB K. Anderson who would get most of the scoring opportunities early. Anderson scored 3 TD's in the 1st half to give the Gators a (21-10) lead with 4 minutes to play in the half, but after back to back turnovers by both teams, Campbell's 19 yd strike to SO WR R. Thompson would find pay dirt as the Gators go into the locker room up (28-10).

Florida opened the 2nd half with yet another Anderson TD run (17 yds), but the Tigers answered back scoring 17 unanswered points to mak it (35-27) as we head into the 4th.

Another Campbell to Thompson connection early in the 4th gave Florida the 2 score lead (42-27) as Campbell breaks a school record for most passing yards in a game. Then with 1:12 to play it was Anderson taking in his 5th TD of the day (Another school record) as Florida rolls to victory.

          FINAL SCORE #1 FLORIDA-49 #10 LSU-27

          KEY PLAYERS
          QB-T. Campbell 28/41 505 yds (school record) 2 TD and 3 INT

RAMS WIN IRON BOOT FOR 5TH STRAIGHT YEAR!!

The Iron Boot will stay in Fort Collins for another year, as the Ram's dominate their border rival Wyoming in a Week 6 showdown.

Both teams struggled to move the ball in the opening quarter as CSU takes the lead on a 43 yd FG by S. Davis.

SR RB D. Nelson however got things going in the 2nd Quarter as he scores 2 TD's (9 yds and 2 yds) to put the Rams up (17-0). Wyoming would finally find the endzone before the half, but it wasn't through their offense. M. Beck would take a punt return 60 yds to the house to make it (17-7) at the half.

Wyoming would open the 2nd half with a 28 yd FG to make it (17-10) but a Mangum to R. Lewis 31 yd TD bomb would make it (24-10) just 3 plays later.

Wyoming's offense would finally get on the board as QB M. Johnson takes it in from 6 yds out to make it (24-17) with 5 minutes to play in the 3rd.

            D. Nelson however wasn't done as he scores his 3rd TD of the game with 17 seconds to play making it (31-17) as we head to the 4th.

CSU would extend to the lead to (38-17) on a Mangum to Matthews 35 yd TD bomb, Wyoming would answer back as Johnson connects with E. Love on a 1 yd strike on 4th and goal to make it (38-24) with under 4 minutes to play.

But the Ram's were not finished as J. Mangum hits A. Tidwell on a 20 yd TD late in the 4th.

            FINAL SCORE CSU-45 WYOMING-24

            KEY PLAYERS
            QB J. Mangum-21/36 411 yds 3 TD 1 INT

COLORADO STATE WEEK 7 TEAM REPORT

We are half way through the season and the Ram's are off to a hot start. Currently sitting at #6 in the Coaches Poll and #11 in the Media with a 6-1 record after betting Iowa (41-20) in Week 7.

CSU is currently #2 in the nation in Total yds (4433), #2 in Total Offense (3488), #1 in Passing yds (2343) and #5 in PPG (40.4).

              KEY PLAYERS
JR QB Jakari Mangum has been on fire of late as he throws 5 TD's in the win over the Hawkeyes raising his season total to 24. He is now 4 TD's shy of his season just 2 years ago when he set a new school record and just 8 TD's shy of the record A. Clayton set last season (32).

The best part about Mangum's season so far isn't just his TD total's but the fact he has thrown just 7 INT posting a QB rating of 177.3, and his 2297 yards currently leads the NCAA.

SR RB David Nelson came into the season with just 22 carries for 155 yds over 3 seasons. He was projected to be the team's #2 behind JR Cedric Hayes who led the team last year in rushing yds and TD's. However a Week 2 injury thrust Nelson into the starting role and so far he has delivered including a 100 yd game vs Iowa this week.

On the season Nelson now has carried the ball 98 times for 515 yds (5.3 Avg) with 5 TD's.

              WIDE RECEIVERS

For the past 3 years, the Ram's have had a dominate #1 WR, first it as Ben Baker leading the team for 2 seasons, and then last year it was D. Flanagan taking over producing 1000 yd and double digit seasons.

One of the keys to Mangum's success however can be attributed to the fact this year he has done a excellent job of spreading the ball around, as the Ram's currrently have 3 players on pace to surpass 1000 yds.

#3/Slot SR WR A. Tidwell currently leads the team with 39 rec for 598 yds and 8 TD, well #1 WR JR W. Matthews is a close 2nd with 34 rec for 542 yds and 9 TD.

#2 WR RS JR B. Jackson however isn't to far off the pace with 25 rec for 441 yds with 3 TD.

Mangum has also done a great job of finding SR TE S. Romero (23 rec 324 yds) and using RS FR 6'4 R. Lewis for big plays (11 rec 231 yds 21.0 avg)

              DEFENSE

The Offense isn't the only side of the ball playing great. RS JR DE M. Hollis has been a nightmare for opposing QB's with 13 TFL and 5.5 sacks well also leading the team with 23 solo tackles.

As a Unit the Ram's D also has secured 6 turnovers (3 INT and 3 Fumbles)

              SPECIAL TEAMS
When 4 year starter P. Love graduated, RS SO Sam Davis took over the kicking duties and the kid has delivered. On the season Davis has converted 11/14 FG attempts including perfect 2/2 from 50 yds out including a 54 yd bomb, and is a perfect 34/34 on XPA.

SO CB/KR Mike Rodgers is off to a solid start in the return game with 17 KR for 496 yds (29.1 Avg) including a 101 yd return for a TD.

RAMS EARLY SUCCESS LEADS TO EARLY SIGNINGS!!

CSU has currently received 2 early commitments for this years class.

4* DT Matthew Gibson the #3 DT in the nation out of Sun City West Arizona and 4# DE Gary McClelland the #9 DE in the naiton out of North Versailles PA.

Gibson is a 6'2 331lb run stopper who was being recruited by Wisconsin, Minnesota,UCLA, Stanford and LSU.

McClelland is a 6'3 245lb pass rush specialist, who was being recruited by Kirby's brother Kellen at Florida as well as Clemson,Georgia,Florida State, Ohio State,LSU, Pitt, Alabama and Georgia Tech.

              Kirby
"Both players are going to be great additions to our O-Line and I could see Mac "McClelland" being a monster rusher and a great replacemend for M. Hollis who is having a outstanding season."
The Rams are also currently leading the way for 12 other players including 4* QB R. Benson (#2 in the nation) and 5* WR R. Phillips (#2 WR), as well as 4* TE B. Wayne (#8), 4* SS C. Leonard (#2), 5* ATH J. Wise (#6), 4* ATH J. Campbell (#16), 4 * MLB D. Ryan (#7 MLB).

              REMAINING SCHEDULE

The Ram's biggest test will come next week as they take their (6-1) record on the road to face #19 (5-1) USC in a non-conference Top-25 showdown.

After that they have a Bye week in Week 9, a home game vs (4-1) Iowa State in Week 10, another Bye in Week 11, followed by a rivalry game @ (3-2) Air Force, Senior Day vs (1-4) Oklahoma State and a Week 14 matchup @ (3-3) Tulsa.

              Kirby
"We can't look ahead past USC this week, but honestly the way our team is playing, I see no reason why we can't make a legit run at a 3-peat of a Big 12 title and another chance to play in New Years Eve Bowl game"

                FLORIDA GATORS TEAM REPORT!!

The #1 Gators are now (7-0) on the season after their (45-28) win over Vanderbilt in Week 7, making them just 1 of 9 teams still perfect going into their Week 8 matchup with Miami. The Hurricanes are one of those other 8 undefeated teams as they currently are (6-0) and #3 in the Media Poll and #4 in the Coaches Poll.

The winner will most likely have a very good chance at playing for a SEC Championship and maybe even a National Title.

Florida will still have instate rival #14 FSU on the schedule in Week 14, well the Hurricanes will face undefeated #3/#4 Georgia Tech in Week 9.

Kellen Moore like his brother Kirby, currently has his team among the nations best on Offense.

Florida currently leads the nation in Total Yards (4685), are #1 in Total Offensive Yards (3656), #2 in Passing (2285), and are #3 in PPG (45.7), #2 in Passing TD's (22) and #5 in Rushing TD's (20). They are #3 in 1st Downs (174).

The Defense however can't be completely forgotten about. The Gators boast the #2 Rushing Defense in the league (giving up 711 yds, vs Navy #1 at 680), are currently #3 in the nation in sacks (23, FSU is #1 with 28, and Miami is #2 with 24). They lead the nation with 7 Fumble recovery's and are tied for #3 in the nation with 10 INT's.

                KEY PLAYERS

                QUARTERBACKS
JR L. West (97 OVR)started the year, but injuries and some early mistakes opened the door for SO T. Campbell (92 OVR) to take over.

Since taking over as the starter, Campbell has posted a QB rating of 180.5, well passing for 1562 yds with 15 TD and 7 INT, (including a school record 505 yds vs LSU and a 6 TD performance vs Vandy), vs West's 155.8 rating, 723 yds and 7 TD/5 INT ratio.

Campbell has also shown the ability to move outside the pocket with 157 yds rushing and 2 TD.

With Campbell playing well and FR M. James (79 OVR) already on the roster redshirting, rumors are already starting about whether or not West will be in Gainesville for his Senior season.

                RUNINGBACKS
SR Kareem Anderson (95 OVR) finished #3 in the Heisman vote last season despite carrying the ball 368 times for 1714 yds and 22 TD's. This year he is currently #1 in the vote getting through Week 7, after toting the ball 169 times for 784 yds well scoring 15 TD's, #'s that he could potentially double.

                WIDE RECEIVER
RS SO Ryan Thompson (89 OVR) saw action as a true freshman catching 19 balls for 267 yds and 3 scores, but sat out last season with 5 Seniors on the depth chart ahead of him. Now with those guy's all gone, Thompson has done more then just claim the #1 WR role for his team, he has gone out and played like the best WR in the nation.

Thompson currently leads the nation in rec (53) yards (1009) and TD's (10) through 7 weeks. At the current pace he is on will most likely break at least 4 school records this year including 2 set by #1 WR D. Washington last year and could leave Florida with every school record in the book.

Thompson isn't the only one making big plays though FR TE A. Baker currently is #2 on the team with 28 rec for 469 yds and 4 scores, well RS FR J. Glover (#2 WR) has 22 rec for 324 yds and 5 TD including his 3 TD game vs Vandy last week.

                DEFENSE

The Gators star's are not just on Offense. RS JR LB W. Smiley (82 OVR) currently leads the nation in solo tackles with 34, RS SR DE T. Miller (91 OVR) is currently tied for the most sacks (8) and 2nd on the team with 13 TFL. RS SO P. Lawson (83 OVR) has shined since taking a starting spot for the injured SR K. Ford (91 OVR). Lawson leads the team in TFL (15) and has 4.5 sacks.

SR FS D. Woods (93 OVR) leads the team with 3 INT, but fellow SR's SS J. Bolden (93 OVR) CB V. Cooper (86 OVR) each have 2 as well as JR CB J. McGee (90 OVR)

                K-Moore
"I am really proud of the way our Defense has played. Every one of these guy's are making plays and a huge reason for it is the pass rush we are getting, as well as the secondary stepping up and going after the bad pass's."
                SPECIAL TEAMS

RS FR C. Flores has struggled so far in the kicking game making just 4/9 FG attempts with a 37 yd long, he is however a perfect 44/44 on XP's, so that's something.

SR RB/KR Dustin Lloyd (95 OVR) is back looking to see if he can repeat as the Nation's "Best Returnman". He currently has 27 KR's for 679 yds (25.1 Avg) with 1 TD (92 yds). He also has returned 27 punts for 286 yds (10.5 avg) with a 29 yd long.

                GATORS LAND 3 EARLY COMMITMENTS!!

If L. West wasn't already considering transfering at the end of the season, he just got a little more motivation as the Gators land 4* QB Recruit Avery Barbour the #3 QB in this years class. A instate prospect, Barbour hails from Ensley Florida. With a project Overall of 78 and a Sparq rating of 73, Barbour could very well pass last year's QB recruit M. James on the depth chart.

Depsite already having Barbour signed and James redshirting, Coach Kellen Moore is also still actively pursuing 4* QB Drew Baker out of Waukesha Wisconsin. Rated the #4 QB in the class, Baker has a projected Overall of 75, a Sparq of 73 and runs a 4.6 40'

Florida was also pursuing 5* QB and the #1 QB in this year's class, Matt Atkinson out of Seven Hills Ohio, but Atkinson turned down the Gators offer to sign with Notre Dame.

Joining Barbour in this year's class is 4* CB Gerrod Brant (#6 CB) out of Mulberry Flordia. Brant had FSU, Georgia and Notre Dame all pursuing and 3* MLB Brian Brown (#53 MLB) out of Meadowbrook AL. Brown also was pursued by some top schools (Notre Dame, Georgia, Michigan and Clemson)

The Gators are also currently #1 on several top players in the country on both sides of the ball and should they land even half of their current targets should very well land in the Top-10 of the nation yet again.

RAMS TO PLAY FOR BIG 12 TITLE!!

The Colorado Rams closed out the regular season with their 10th straight win since losing in Week 2 in O.T. to Washington, to win their 3rd straight division title.

CSU finishes the regular season at 11-1 and ranked #4 in the country as they head into their Big 12 title matchup with #13 (9-3) Kansas State.

CSU beat instate rival Air Force in Week 12 (45-14), as JR QB J. Mangum pass's for 334 yds with 4 TD. JR WR W. Matthews finished with 11 rec for 126 yds and 1 TD. FR RB J. Epsinosa carried the load with 16 carries for a career high 114 yds with 1 TD.

In Week 13 the Rams took on Oklahoma State on Senior Day and came away with a 37-17 win.

JR QB Mangum threw for 304 yds with 5 TD, SR D. Nelson took the load in the backfield finishing with 20 carries for 108 yds, well JR WR W. Matthews continues to make a case for national honors at WR, with 12 rec for 149 yds and 3 TD.

The Rams closed out the regular season with a wild offensive shootout @ Tulsa beating the Hurricanes (57-40) after giving up 27 points in the the 4th.

CSU turned the ball over 4 times all in the 4th Quarter, as Mangum finished 29/40 for 429 yds with 5 TD and 3 INT. Backup QB B. Carter was 3/5 for 65 yds with 1 INT.

JR RB C. Hayes returned from his 12 week injury to carry the ball 3 times for 17 yds and a score.

SR TE S. Romero was lost for the season. JR Andrew Francis took over and finished with a career high 8 rec for 172 yds with 2 TD. SR WR A. Tidwell had 11 rec for 149 yds with 1 TD.

MANGUM LOOKS TO ADD NAME TO MORE RECORD BOOKS

Former 4* Recuit Jakari Mangum has proven he is one of the nation's best QB's this season as he continues to lead the nation in passing yards (3871).

That # has also etched his name into the CSU record books along with his 41 TD's currently on the season. Mangum already held the school record for most yds in a game (593) and by the time he leaves CSU, he will most likely hold career yds and career TD's currently held by the man he replaced and backed up last season (AC Clayton). Clayton also holds most TD's in a game (7) which is 1 more then Mangum has thrown 3 times in his career.

Mangum's current stats (179.7 QB Rating, 266/391 3871 yds 41 TD 12 INT) currently has him #1 in the voting for the O'Brien Award. He is currently the only Ram in the Top-3 vote getting for a post-season award.

                  NELSON LOOKS TO BREAK 1000

When JR RB C. Hayes turned in a 216 yd performance against Colorado in Week 1, most people assumed that SR David Nelson wouldn't see the field much, but a Week 2 injury to Hayes opened the door for Nelson to step up and stepping up he did.

The SR RB from came into the year with 22 career carries for less then 130 yds, but after taking over in Week 2, he has carried the rock 176 times for 886 yds with 9 TD. With 2 games left to play, it's safe to say Nelson should finish with a 1000 yd season, despite Hayes returning to the sidelines to steal some carries.

                  Kirby Moore
"It's a pretty big honor among RB's to produce 1000 yd seasons, and we fill Nelson deserves a chance to get it. 114 yds over 2 games still leaves us plenty of opportunities to rotate in Hayes as well as J. Espinosa (65 carries 388 yds 3 TD)"
MATTHEWS AND TIDWELL LOOK TO FINISH STRONG!!

For the past 3 seasons, the Ram's have had a dominate #1 WR first with B. Baker who broke and set every Receiving record at CSU and then again last season with D. Flanagan.

This season part of Mangum's huge success has been his ability to use more then 1 WR, and SR A. Tidwell has come up big as the slot/#3 WR posting 64 rec for 945 yds and 12 TD's, well JR W. Matthews has lived up to the standards of being a #1, with 78 rec for 1086 yds and 16 TD.

BYE WEEKS PROVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL OFF THE FIELD!!

The Rams 10 straight wins, #4 ranking and potential Big 12 title and Fiesta Bowl appearance for a 3rd straight year has helped Kirby Moore and his staff once again build a dominating recruiting class.

The Ram's currently have 13 players committed which ranks #8 in the nation. led by 5* Athlete Jerrell Wise. Ranked the #6 Athlete in the class, Wise is 6'0 213 lbs from Ogden Utah. He was being recruited by UCLA, Stanford, Arizona and Boise State. Wise is currently a Option running QB who passed and ran for a 1000 yds each in his past 2 seasons as a starter.

                  Kirby
"Wise has a very similar skill set to AC Clayton and current backup QB B. Carter. We don't have a current RB on our radar so odds are he will end up taking handoff's from the QB instead of being the QB, but you never know until the season is over"
One reason why most assume Wise will be a RB next season vs a QB is the signing of 4* QB Robert Benson. The #2 QB in the class, Benson is 6'0 224lbs out of Scott Louisania. Like Wise, Benson can make plays with both his arm (84 THP) and his feet (79 Speed) projected as a 74 Overall.

Joining Wise and Benson on the Offensive side of the ball is 4* ATH Terrence Doucette (#50). Listed at 6'4 186lbs out of Charleston Illinois, Doucette is almost a exact clone of former Ram great B. Baker. Baker was a former QB turned WR who exploded to break every receiving record in the school record books. Doucette has the same build and skills. Despite solid speed (88) and THP (86), Doucette boosts 72 catch, 74 spec catch, 70 catch in traffice and 78 route running making it very likely he will be wearing a WR# next season. With the current depth of the Ram's WR's should JR W. Matthews return for his Senior Season, it seems very likely that Doucette could see a redshirt season in front of him to help him really grow into the WR role and a starting spot when Matthews graduates.

GATORS 1 GAME AWAY FROM TITLE GAME!!

The Kellen Moore Florida Gator era has kicked off with a bang. Last season K-Moore led the Gators to a 13-1 record wining the SEC title game and Sugar Bowl.

Now a year later, Moore has guided to Gators to a perfect 12-0 season and will square off against #5 (11-1) Clemson on Saturday as they look for their 2nd straight SEC title and a spot in this year's National Championship.

K-Moore is 2-0 vs the Tigers having defeated them in Week 1 last year in his coaching debut and then again in the SEC title game.

Clemson started the year with 10 straight wins, but a (28-23) loss sent them down 3 spots from #2 to #5 in the final 2 weeks of the season. Can they defeat the Gators and if so will it be enough to earn them a spot in the Chip?

Florida is riding a 17 game win streak dating back to last year. The Gators are coming in hot having outscored their past 4 opponents by 93 points (avg of 23.3 a game including a butt whooping over instate rival Florida State last week (45-10)

ANDERSON MAKES HIS CASE FOR HEISMAN

SR RB Kareem Anderson continues to impress voters as he carries the ball 35 times for 124 yds and 3 scores in the win over FSU in Week 14.

On the season , Anderson currently has 282 carries for 1316 yds and a school record 24 TD's.

Andreson currently owns 4 of the schools records including yds in a season, yds in a career, TD's in a season and TD's in a career, all #'s he will look to grow in his final 2 games.

Anderson stats are even more impressive when you take in consideration that he has shared a bigger load in the backfield this year with SR RB D. Lloyd. who has 120 carries for 748 yds with 9 TD's.

Could the Gators finish with 2-1000 yds?

The Heisman isn't the only award that Anderson currently looks to be adding to his mantle at home. He is currently #2 in the Maxwell race , #1 in the Walter Camp vote, #1 in the Doak Walker vote, well teammate D. Lloyd looks like he will repeat as the nations best return man.

                    T. CAMPBELL LOOKS LIKE HE IS THE FUTURE

SO QB Tim Campbell didn't impress the fans much his freshman season as he completed 77/131 for 1363 yds with 13 TD and 16 INT. But this season Campbell appears to have take the reigns at QB and looks like he has made his case to be the starter the next 2 years.

Campbell has raised his QB rating to 165.6 and his completion% to 63.4, well completing 173/273 for 2681 yds so for this season. His most impressive improvement however has come in the TD/INT ratio as he has 23 TD's and just 11 INT.

Campbell also put his name into the record books with a 505 yd performance

                    THOMPSON LOOKS TO SECURE BILENTNIKOFF

RS SO WR Ryan Thompson has the inside track currently in the race for the Best WR in the nation as he has 85 rec for 1460 yds and 13 TD's.

Thompson's #'s are pretty impressive considering he is sharing targets with FR TE A. Baker (44 rec 660 yds 7 TD's) and FR WR J. Glover (34 rec 495 yds 7 TD).

                    K-Moore
"I have had the privilege to throw to and coach a great # of talented WR's and Thompson is one of the best"
                    GATORS "D" DESERVES RESPECT!!

Well Kellen Moore might be best know for his offensive playbook, and teams that produce lots of points and lots of yds and TD's, this year's Florida Gator Defense has got the attention of vote getters.

The Gator D currently ranks #10 in the nation in yds allowed, is #1 against the run and is currently #5 in sacks (38), #1 in Fumble Recoveries (12), #2 in INT (20), and are Top-15 in Points allowed (278)

Florida currently has 7 of the Top-10 vote getters in the Bednarik award including JR LB W. Smiley who leads all votes. Smiley has 54 Tackles, 16 TFL, 12 ATK, 2 sacks, a FF and 3 INT.

They have 3 of the Top-7 in the Nagurski Award including SR DT Tevita Miller who has 17 TFL, 11 sacks, 2 FF and 2 FR.

They have the Top-3 vote getters in the Lombardi race, led by Miller again,

2 of the Top-5 for Best LB, led by Smiley.

The Top-3 in the Thorpe Award, led by SR SS J. Bolden, who has 5 INT's and 7 Pass Deflections

GATORS LAND 11 COMMITMENTS ONLY HAVE 13 SENIORS ON ROSTER

The Florida Gators went into the recruiting season with just 13 Seniors set to graduate, including 9 on Defense and of the 4 on Offense 2 are in the backfield in Anderson and Lloyd.

With 3 FR RB's on the roster, the Gators biggest need as DB with and DE with starters at both positions set to graduate.

The Gators class currently ranks #17 in the nation with 6 4* Recruits and 5-3* recruits signed up.

4* CB Gerrod Brant (#6 CB) is a 5'11 169lb back from Mulberry FL. Rated a 78 Overall, Brant could be a potential 4 year starter.

4* DE Bill Harvey (#16 DE) is 6'2 262lbs from Kirland WA. Rated a 78 OVerall, Harvey too looks to maybe have the skill set to see lots of action as a 4 year player.

3* Charles Dean (#20 CB) might not be as highly rated as Brant, but at 6'3 177lbs and a 74 rating, he is a potential NFL caliber shutdown corner.

4* SS Eric Brown (#5 SS) comes in as a 78 Overall and could also be a potential 4 year starter replacing Bolden next season.

4* ATH Joel Scheider (#13 ATH)
currently plays both sides of the ball starting at QB and DB in Covington Kentucky. At 6'2 239 lbs, it appears that his future could be at FS next season.

                      GATORS HOLD OFF TIGERS!!!

                      GAME RECAP
The Florida Gators pulled off the undefeated season, finishing the year #1 in the polls after their come from behind win over #5 Clemson Saturday night in the SEC Championship Game.

The Gators opened the game with the ball, and quickly marched down field scoring on a 8 play 80 yd series capped off by a 2 yd TD run by Heisman RB Kareem Anderson's 2 yd run to make it (7-0).

After forcing a punt, the Gators extended their lead on a 24 yd FG by C. Flores to make it (10-0), but with 30 seconds to play in the 1st quarter, Clemson found the endzone as QB V. Barron hit C. Ramsey from 6 yds out to make it (10-7).

Clemson then tied the game with 6:42 to play in the half on a 37 yd FG by J. Dickerson (10-10).

Florida answers back with another C. Flores FG (26 yd) to retake the lead (13-10) with 3:50 to play, but with 1:36 to play it was J. Johnson giving the Tigers the lead as he bulldozes his way in from 6 yds out (17-13).

With under 2 mins to play, the Gators go into a hurry up offense and the Tigers had no answer as QB T. Campbell finds Freshman TE A. Baker on a 19 yd strike to give UF the lead (20-17) with 49 seconds to play.

Clemson however wasn't done. After a huge 40 yd kickoff return, the Tigers managed to set up a 36 yd FG as time expires to make it (20-20).

Clemson started the 2nd half with the ball but a forced Punt gets the ball back into the hands of the Gators offense, and RB K. Anderson delivers yet again scoring on a 9 yd run to give Florida the lead (27-20).

Clemson however answers back first with a 57 yd FG by Dickerson (27-23) and then after a Campbell INT, Barron hits B. Williams on a 20 yd TD strike (30-27).

Another Campbell turnover (Fumble) gave Clemson a chance to extend the lead, but the Gators Defense answers the call and forces a punt as the game goes into the 4th quarter.

Campbell this time delivers as he guides his team downfield and on a 3rd and goal Campbell keeps the ball himself and runs in from 4 yds out to give the Gators the lead (34-30) with 4 mins to play.

Down by 4, Clemson knew they needed to put the ball in the endzone but a big stop by the Gators Defense on a 4th and 1 on from the 19 yd line, gives Florida the ball back with a chance run some time off the clock or put the game away with 2:40 to play, but after failing to gain a yard on back to back carries, Campbell is forced to go to the air and his pass is picked off yet again. d turnover) giving the Tigers another shot for the win.

After picking up a much needed 1st down the Tigers however are stopped short on a 3rd and 5 setting up yet another 4th and 1, and again the Gators D shows why they are #1 in the country against the run, as they again stop Clemson. Now with just a minute to play, Florida again goes to the ground looking to run out the clock, but Clemson is loaded with 3 timeouts and they use them perfectly as Florida is forced to punt with 22 seconds to play.

Left with 1 more chance Clemson however comes up short as the game ends ranked #5 in ESPN Classics.

                      FINAL SCORE FLORIDA-34 CLEMSON-30

                      KEY PLAYERS

"I know some people question why we kicked a Field Goal at the end. I wanted Davis to get the opportunity to try a kick from 45+ with time expiring. We are also super proud of D. Nelson, it was awesome to see him come back and battle through that broken finger to get the yards he needed to get to 1000"
