Oakland, CA- The last time the Oakland Raiders(0-11) saw the Playoffs was 2002 when Rich Gannon won MVP on their way to a blowout loss in Super Bowl 37 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jon Gruden.
With the lights on bright inside Oakland Coliseum on Thursday Night Football, the Oakland Raiders(0-11) added to their Playoff drought and we're officially eliminated from Playoffs thanks to a loss to their rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs(9-2).
"Being eliminated from the Playoffs is rough and the way things went for us this year was hard. It sucks being in the position we're at." Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen stated.
Chiefs Quarterback Alex Smith returned tonight after missing some time with an injury. He had 172 yards and 2 Touchdowns.
K.C never turned the ball over once.
"We played great Football tonight especially against a Division Rival." Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid stated.
Raiders Quarterback Matt Schaub had some consistency throwing 205 yards, 2 Touchdowns and a Interception.
His favorite target tonight was Veteran James Jones who had 5 catches for 108 yards and a Touchdown.
"We found some consistency on Offense but still fell short." Schaub stated.
Chiefs Running Back Jamaal Charles ran all over the Raiders for 154 yards and a Touchdown.
"He's been a big part of our Offense all year long." Chiefs Offensive Coordinator Doug Pederson stated.
The Raiders(0-11) had just 246 yards Offensively as the Chiefs(9-2) wrapped up with 365.
With the loss tonight to the Chiefs, the Raiders have now lost 17 straight games dating back to last year when they finished with a 6 game losing streak for a 4-12 record.
Now officially being eliminated from the Playoff Race, Oakland must now turn their attention to the last 5 games and the Off-Season.
