Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy. Tensions boiling?

    11/11/14

    John Franklin

After a Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears, Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy was under fire by the Media and players alike.

    Including his own Quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers criticized McCarthy for his decision to not attempt an onside kick for a comeback.

"We had no timeouts and there was still time left on the clock. We all thought he was gonna try for an onside kick to give us a chance to win. Instead he had Mason do a full kickoff and just hope our Defense can somehow win the game." Rodgers stated in an interview.

McCarthy defended his actions by stating "I thought our Defense could get us back the ball. It's hard to win games in this league."

Not exactly the words you want to hear if you're a Packers fan.

Lets not forget that McCarthy also said that he "Was turning over a new leaf."

That of course was a lie as Mike was back to his old conservative ways.

After the Packers lost to the Bears 27-20 in Week 4, the Green and Gold rattled off 4 straight wins with Aaron Rodgers playing like the MVP he is.

But things got bad on Sunday Night Football when the Packers welcomed the Bears to historic Lambeau Field.

The Packers should of won the game and split the series, instead things took a turn for the worse. The Bears came in and just stomped the Packers with the lights on bright 30-13.

Cameras caught Rodgers and other Teammates constantly talking to McCarthy and other Coaches throughout the game.

"It was bad. Mike wanted to run the ball when we should of passed. Then it was vice versa. We never we're on the same page. It got bad for all of us." Rodgers said.

McCarthy was then under scrutiny for his decision to keep punting the ball late in the 4th Quarter with the Packers down on the scoreboard.

After the game, Twitter exploded with Coaches across the NFL, fans, and Analysts alike voicing their frustration with the Packers Head Coach..

"You have Aaron Rodgers as your Quarterback and you punt in the 4th Quarter losing big." - Colin Cowherd.

"McCarthy may be a good Coach, his problem however is he's Coaching like it's 2010 again expecting Rodgers and the Defense to bail him out." - Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman stated.

"I can't believe you didn't have the balls to try and win." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians said.

"I have never seen such conservative Play calling in my entire life." - Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano.

"You have Aaron Rodgers at Quarterback and you don't go for it. That's embarrassing." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.

The list goes on. Even Packers Players voiced their frustration.

"We have Rodgers at Quarterback and you leave him on the bench to punt the ball. What is wrong with that picture?" WR Jordy Nelson stated.

Packers CEO Mark Murphy is also not happy with how his Coach has been handling the year.

"We lost games we should of won. Mike is responsible for everything that happens on the Football field. As far as Sunday Night goes based on the conversations I've had with Mike and Aaron I am not happy with what's going on. I'm watching this team VERY closely this year. Mike knows he needs to do a better job." Murphy stated.

With the drama boiling, it's gonna be interesting to see how Aaron Rodgers and the Packers get a long with McCarthy as the season winds down over these last 7 games.

Green Bay Packers Mike McCarthy responds to criticism. "I Coach the way I do because it works."

      11/11/14

      John Franklin

Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy responded to the criticism he's been getting this year with a "It works."

      McCarthy then elaborated.

"This System I do got us to the Super Bowl in 2010. It will work for us again it just takes time. But I see no reason on why we need to change it." McCarthy said.

The Packers Head Coach is convinced that Green Bay will be in the Super Bowl.

But the reality of this year is that the Packers Defense is now ranked 30th going into Week 11's matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. Yet, McCarthy refuses to see the reality even defending Capers.

      "He's a great Coach."

Packers CEO Mark Murphy was even disgusted with the words.

"It's not 2010 Mike. Open your eyes."

MIAMI DOLPHINS Head Coach Joe Philbin's message to Mike McCarthy "Mike, What the F*&K are you doing?"

        11/11/14

        Tom Harris

Miami Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin is no stranger to the Green Bay Packers.

He spent 2003 to 2011 there before taking over the Miami Dolphins in his first Head Coaching gig.

From 2007 to 2011 he was the Packers Offensive Coordinator that helped the Packers win Super Bowl 45 where the Offense ranked in the top 10 in the NFL for points scored and total yards every year, including their 2010 Super Bowl-winning season.

With Philbin the Packers Offensive Coordinator, Aaron Rodgers flourished into one of the Greatest of all time including becoming MVP in 2011.

After the 2011 Season concluded, Philbin accepted the job in Miami for his first Head Coaching position.

In Week 5, the Green Bay Packers traveled to South Beach where they beat Philbin's Dolphins 56-31.

        Rodgers had 5 Touchdown passes.

After the game when the Coaches met at mid field, Philbin had words for his former associate.

"I told him great game and I was excited to see what he can do this year. I also gave him advice. I said Mike trust me, every game no matter what you go for the Fuc&&&& throat. " Philbin said.

"He smiled and nodded then kind of shrugged me off and he said "We'll see." and I just kind of looked at him surprised." Philbin added.

The Packers then faced the Bears Sunday Night where McCarthy once again displayed bad play calling on Primetime.

"Coaches are all fans too at heart. If we're not playing on Primetime, we sit at home with our families and watch the Game too. I saw what happened with how Green Bay lost and I'm like Mike What the Fu*k are you doing man? Aaron Rodgers is your Quarterback and you choose to not even try to win the game. It's honestly sad. Mike what are you doing!?"

                Week 11 Games to Watch

                Eagles(5-4) @ Packers(6-3)

Tensions are running high in Green Bay with Head Coach Mike McCarthy bumping heads with his Players. A Week 10 Sunday Night loss to the Bears in which Green Bay was SWEPT by their Rivals for the first time in 7 years resulted in McCarthy receiving backlash. A win vs the Eagles might right the ship if Green Bay can get on the same page. Nick Foles returned on Monday Night and the Birds flew high over Carolina. Philly is hoping with the return of #9 they can make a run for the playoffs. A trip to Green Bay against one of the worst Defenses in the league may be a good step to start.

                Seahawks(7-2) @ Chiefs(7-2)

The defending Champions travel to "Chiefs Kingdom" where it will be a battle of Top 10 Offenses and Defenses. The Seahawks mounted a comeback against the Giants while the Chiefs lost to the Bills in Overtime. Andy Reid VS Pete Carroll. This Game should be entertaining to watch and could COULD be a possible Super Bowl Preview.

Week 11 kicks off with a AFC East Division battle between the Bills and Dolphins! Buffalo Head Coach Doug Marrone has announced he is sticking with Dennis Dixon at Quarterback again after last week's Overtime win over the Chiefs. Nobody in the Buffalo Front Office is expecting the Bills to contend for the Playoffs yet and there is a QB carousel as well. The Dolphins are struggling at 3-6 and Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is missing time for the second time this year. Philbin has been starting Rookie Marcus Vick and Matt Moore at QB. Tonight it's going to be Vick.

Miami, FL- It's no secret that the Buffalo Bills(5-5) this year are playing "Musical Quarterbacks" in an attempt to find the QB of the future.

Last week Buffalo had Dennis Dixon and the Bills upset the Chiefs in Overtime.

The Bills went with the Dixon again tonight against the Division rival Miami Dolphins(4-6).

Dixon struggled in the first half. He threw 118 yards no Touchdowns no picks but his accuracy was way off only completing 6/22 passes.

The Bills we're down 10-3 at halftime.

At the start of the third Quarter, Doug Marrone made a change and trotted out Jeff Tuel.

Tuels second pass was intercepted and the Dolphins then went up 17-3.

Tuel stayed in for another series but didn't do much.

At the 4th Quarter, Marrone sent out his third Quarterback. Former first round pick of 2013, EJ Manuel. Manuel hasn't seen action since Opening Sunday.

Manuel actually did solid throwing 118 yards and the only Bills Touchdown.

"EJ gave us some hope in the 4th but we we're in too much of a hole to dig out." Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone stated.

Bills RB CJ Spiller had 30 yards off 9 carries but broke his collarbone during a fumble.

                          He's been placed on IR.

"That's a blow to the Offense losing a quality back like that." Bills Offensive Coordinator Nathaniel Hackett stated.

Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno had 158 yards and 25 carries with no scores.

Dolphins QB Marcus Vick threw 74 yards and a score. But he also rushed for 67 yards and 2 more Touchdowns.

Miami never turned the ball over once.

"When we win the turnover battle you usually win games. We did that today against a good Division rival." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin said.

The Bills(5-5) finished with 438 Total yards to Dolphins(4-6) 323.

Buffalo looks to be back to the drawing board at the Quarterback position again.

A spot they've been in from the beginning of the year.

"We look at our Quarterbacks every week in practice and choose who we feel that will give us the best chance to win. So for next week of practice we're back to that." Marrone stated.

Coming off a sweep of their hated Rivals, the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. The Chicago Bears now sit back in first place and turn their attention to the bottom dwelling Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are in a rebuild year of their own with changes coming in January especially on the Defensive side of the ball. The Bears are undefeated at home so far and this game looks to get out of hand real quick.

                            Bears Defense: 8

Cutler plays like MVP... BEARS beat VIKINGS 41-27...

                              RECAP

Chicago, IL- 7 days after sweeping their hated Rivals, the Packers, Chicago welcomed Minnesota to Soldier Field.

The Vikings(2-8) have been struggling all year on Defense in Zimmer's new System. Today however against the Bears(8-2) they found some rhythm.

                              Picking off Cutler twice.

"Getting those two turnover's we're huge for us as that's been our weakest point all year." Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer stated.

But Jay Cutler got the last laugh.

Cutler lit up the Vikings Defense for 426 yards, 5 Touchdowns and a rating of 109.7

"Division Games are always tough. We gave up a lot of points but we stuck together and got the win." Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman stated.

Rookie Quarterback Nick Montana found some rhythm himself leading the Vikings(2-8) down the field with 222 yards and a Touchdown.

All Day Peterson was A.P. 132 yards and 2 Touchdowns off just 14 carries.

"He's the best Running Back in Football. You can't stop him. " Trestman stated.

Bears Matt Forte had 102 yards and no Touchdowns.

Brandon Marshall had 13 catches, 172 yards, 1 TD.

Alshon Jeffrey had 10 catches, 118 yards, 1 TD.

TE Michael Bennett pulled in 2 of Cutler's Touchdowns.

Bears Quarterback had an injury scare where he left the game in the final moments of the Game with a knee injury.

Bears Medical Staff reported he had a partial knee sprain but he's been cleared to keep playing.

The Bears(8-2) dodge a bullet on Cutler who is a favorite for MVP.

"We looked a lot better today than we have all season. Still got a ways to go to be better." Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer stated.

The Browns are leading the AFC North and Head Coach Mike Pettine has this Team firing on all cylinders. Cleveland is rocking the #4 Defense and the #10 Offense. The Browns have opted to start Brian Hoyer at QB but Manziel is back and healthy. Cleveland is 3-2 at First Energy Stadium while the Texans are 2-3 away from Houston. The Texans are 3-6 in Bill O'Brien's first year and are in a season of rebuild as well. Houston has the 31st Offense and 20th Defense. Case Keenum ain't really the Quarterback answer but Houston is riding with him with Jared Zabransky on the bench.
