BENGALS overcome struggles to beat JAGUARS 28-18...
RECAP
Cincinnati, OH- In the 2014 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars(2-7) selected Blake Bortles to be their QB of the future.
It's been a slow process so far.
Bortles was hurt in the Pre-Season and didn't see his first NFL start until Week 4.
"Building for the future takes time. Bortles is our Quarterback." Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley stated.
He had 172 yards today with no Touchdowns and Interceptions.
Slow process for him indeed.
The Bengals(5-3) took a 14-3 lead into halftime but then pulled away for good 28-18 off Andy Dalton's 3 TD's.
"Had a bit of struggles there but we we're able to right the ship." Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis stated.
The struggles he's referring to is Dalton's 2 picks. 1 was returned for a Touchdown by Jaguars LB Dekoda Watson for 73 yards.
"That took the wind out of our sails a little bit but we bounced back." Dalton said.
Dalton found scores in AJ Green, Tyler Eifert, and new Bengal Santonio Holmes who has really helped out the passing game in the few short weeks he's been there.
"Happy to be here." Holmes said.
Geovanni Bernard rushed for 136 yards and a score. The Jaguars failed to get over 70 yards on the ground as Toby Gerhart was stopped at 61.
Jacksonville only managed 10 First Down's all game while Cincinnati picked up 22.
The Bengals(5-3) held the Jaguars(2-7) to just 259 yards total on the day. The Bengals had 511.
"We still have work to do to get to where we want to be." Jags Head Coach Gus Bradley said.
The Bengals will be on a short week as they get ready for the "Battle of Ohio."

Pectoral Tear(IR)Game Notes The San Diego Chargers continue to chase the Kansas City Chiefs for the West Title. A win in South Beach will get them another step closer but the Bolts have to wait until Week 17 for KC. The Chargers are 5-3 and have no problem winning on the road as seen in their record. Heading to South Beach, The Chargers should take the W over the struggling Fins. Head Coach Joe Philbin's squad is without Tanny again as he is on the shelf for the second time this year. Philbin has announced Marcus Vick to be the starter due to Matt Moore's struggles. A loss to San Diego will put Miami in the hole more at 2-6. It's uncertain if Philbin is on the hot seat or not.

CHARGERS pound DOLPHINS 38-17 in South Beach....
RECAP
MIAMI- San Diego Chargers Defensive Coordinator John Pagano was all smiles at the podium.
"Great job by our guys. Very proud of this Unit." He stated.
The Chargers(6-3) defeated the Miami Dolphins(2-6) 38-17 in which the Bolts Defense made rookie QB Marcus Vick struggle.
The younger Vick finished with just 139 yards and a pick 6 by Chargers CB Jason Verrett. Vick rushed for the Dolphins only Touchdown offensively.
Speaking of Pick 6's, Phillip Rivers also threw one to Dolphins CB Will Davis.
Those we're the only turnovers for the game.
"Tough game for us. San Diego is a great team." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin stated.
The Chargers Defense ranked 3rd overall and showed why sacking Vick 5 times, holding Moreno to just 79 yards off 21 carries, and picking Vick off.
"When we have a good Defense like that, We're hard to beat." Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy stated.
The Chargers(6-3) move a step closer to Kansas City in the AFC West.
Phillip Rivers was an animal throwing 241 yards and 4 Touchdowns with a pick.
2 of them to his favorite target, TE Antonio Gates.
"Sitting well heading into the second half. Still quite a bit of football." Rivers said while holding his what seems like 100th newborn.
Ryan Matthews rushed for 119 yards and no TDs.

Dislocated Ankle(5 Weeks)Matt Cassel(QB)
Broken Collarbone(4 Weeks)Game Notes Both the Vikings and the Redskins are entering new Era's of Head Coaches. Forget about Playoffs for 2014, it's about building for the future. The future looks anything but bright as the two 1 win clubs meet Sunday in Minnesota. Mike Zimmer's Defense is among the worst in the league (29th) and two Viking QBs are on the shelf. The Vikings will start Nick Montana at QB again.
The Redskins are winless on the road and QB RG3 is still missing time. He's spent more time on the Injury list than on the field raising many eyebrows in the Front Office. Kirk Cousins who is getting his first year starting experience is now leading the league in Interceptions passing Peyton Manning. (17)
Coach Jay Gruden hasn't announced a QB change yet but with RG3 set to return next week, might be just filling in. Washington and Minnesota will look for their 2nd win of the year and will look for massive changes in the Off-Season.Comment

Nick Montana leads VIKINGS over REDSKINS 33-21.....
RECAP
Minneapolis, MN- The Minnesota Vikings(2-7) have picked up their second win of the year under Mike Zimmer.
In the process, they have handed Washington(1-8) their 7th straight loss.
"It's been a rough year for us but we're building something special here." Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden stated.
The same can be said for Mike Zimmer's Vikings.
Minnesota took a 13-7 lead into halftime with Rookie QB Nick Montana showing signs of promise in just his second start.
Nick is the youngest son of 49er great Joe Montana. He was signed by the Vikings after Matt Cassel and Teddy Bridgewater went down with injuries.
Montana threw 238 yards with 2 TD's and no turnovers. His rating was 101.8.
"He did great for us today. Kid was poised for a great game. " Vikings Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner stated.
"Great to be following my dad's footsteps and playing in the NFL. Minnesota has really taken care of me." Montana stated.
Montana's first Career Touchdown pass was to fellow Rookie WR Johnny Ford.
Ford would catch both of the TDs and racked up 156 yards off 15 catches.
Adrian Peterson had 151 yards and no TDs.
The Vikings(2-7) Defense showed some signs of improvement as they held Redskins(1-8) RB Alfred Morris to just 62 yards.
"We had some good moments for us today. Lots of excitement for future games." Zimmer stated.
Kirk Cousins took advantaged of the horrible Vikings secondary throwing 244 yards and 2 TD's of his own with no picks.
He finished with an almost perfect passer rating. 157.1.
"Up and down for us all year and being on a losing streak doesn't really help us out." Cousins stated.
The Redskins will get RG3 back next week, but with him constantly getting hurt Washington might be turning to Cousins.
"We play it by ear." Gruden said. "We still love Robert. He's our Quarterback."
The Vikings Offense stalled quite a bit and Kicker Blair Walsh was 4/4 in Field Goals.

49ERS sweep RAMS with 49-14 Win in Santa Clara!
RECAP
Santa Clara, CA- Get your brooms out 9er fans! The San Francisco 49ers(5-3) have swept the St. Louis Rams(3-5) and did so in convincing fashion.
A 49-14 blowout..
"We scored 49 points. That is very fitting I think." Joked 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.
The Rams(3-5) started out by intercepting Colin Kaepernick on the 9ers Opening Drive.
A pick 6 for 58 yards by Trumaine Johnson.
The 9ers battled back.
A Sam Bradford Touchdown put the Rams up 14-7 and things looked like it was going to be a shootout.
But then came the TURNING POINT...
Bradford threw an INT to 49ers Safety Eric Reid. After that pick, the 9ers would then put up 42 unanswered points.
"After that Interception, we fell deep into a hole and never got out." Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher stated.
The 49ers(5-3) ran all over the Rams(3-5).
"We looked at a lot of tape and discovered their weaknesses." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh said.
Kaepernick had 277 yards with 2 TDs and a pick. His rating was 105.1.
He also rushed for 128 yards and 2 scores.
49ers RB Frank Gore was also big in the run game with 174 yards and a Touchdown.
The 49ers finished the day with 655 Total Yards. The Rams we're held to just 201 Total.
"Huge day for us on the defensive side. Great performance by our guys." 49ers Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio said.
Sam Bradford struggled vs the 9ers Defense throwing for 143 yards. 1 TD and 2 picks. Both to Safety Eric Reid.
After a 14-7 lead, the Rams we're held to constant 3 and outs by the 9er D.
Johnny Hekker had 7 Punts.
"Being held to constant 3 and outs and punting is a great way to lose games." Fisher stated.
Sam Bradford was sacked 5 times.
"We executed well today. We need that at this point in the Season." 49ers Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman said.

(6-2, 3-1 Home)Injury Report Dementu George(R)(RB)
Abdominal Tear(1 Week)NONE Game Notes After missing a chunk of the 2014 Season, Peyton Manning has returned and just in time for another Chapter in the Brady-Manning Rivalry. The last time these two met was last January in the AFC Championship in Denver. The Broncos punched their ticket to Super Bowl 48 and we all know how that game went. Now this year, the Broncos are in a downward spiral with Manning playing like time has caught up to him. He was leading the league in picks and got hurt VS Arizona in Week 5 with a shoulder injury. Denver has a huge hole to climb out of but to start, Peyton Manning will need to carry the team on his shoulders. It's going to be a tough test today as the New England Patriots are waiting....

Re: ~~Lords of the Gridiron~~
Manning's struggles continues, PATRIOTS crush BRONCOS 46-14
RECAP
Foxboro, MA- It was a game that the New England Patriots(7-2) had circled on their calendar since the schedule was released.
A rematch with the Denver Broncos(1-6-1) and Peyton Manning..
Last year in the AFC Championship, the Broncos beat the Patriots and went on to get crushed by the Seahawks in Super Bowl 48.
This year, New England has been winning games and making sure the road to Super Bowl 49 goes through Boston.
Denver on the other hand has taken what seems like 10 steps back.
And it's mainly Peyton Manning's fault. It looks like time has caught up.
"I'm mad at myself. I'm so much better than this." Manning said.
Manning has been struggling bad this year and is now leading the league in Interceptions again. (18).
Today was even worse for Peyton. Manning's first 15 passes we're all incomplete and he threw 3 picks, 2 by Revis.
The Patriots took a 22-7 lead into halftime. Manning was benched midway through the third Quarter after going 1/18 for 80 yards and a TD.
Thanks to a Pats blown coverage.
Manning was pulled and Head Coach John Fox sent in backup Brock Osweiller to try and get a spark going.
"It was a rough day for Peyton. We needed something new." Fox said.
"It's never easy planning for Manning. We did a great job at that today." Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick stated.
Osweiller provided a small spark leading Denver down on a scoring drive but it didn't do much.
He finished the day with 121 yards a TD and a pick.
Denver had 4 Turnovers today.
Brady crushed the Broncos Defense who was forced to play most of the game thanks to Manning's inconsistency.
Brady had 283 yards 3 TDs and a pick.
The Broncos(1-6-1) now fall deeper in a hole and must figure out what they plan to do on the Peyton Manning situation.

Re: ~~Lords of the Gridiron~~
Damn! 1-18 is one of the worst performances if not the worst of the season! Still, gotta give credit to that Patriots defense. It looks like Peyton Manning should just go ahead and retire because of how poorly the Broncos are playing.
Although it looks like next week they should be able to come away with the win.
Sweet game by Brady. 3 TD passes is always really good.
I cracked up at the 10 steps back bit. I can’t believe that Manning has 18 interceptions through 8 games. That’s gotta be one of the worst halves of the season in NFL history. Nice to Osweiler provide a bit of a spark for the Broncos though.
I will be following throughout the rest of the season and hopefully the second and third seasons! Should be really fun to see how this one finishes.Live your life to fullest.Comment

Re: ~~Lords of the Gridiron~~
Yeah it's insane. Hands down the biggest surprise is how bad Manning and Denver has been this year. Manning is absolutely horrible. That Pats-Denv game was insane to watch him go 0/15 with 3 picks lmao.
What's even more crazier is that he's leading the leagues in INTs while missing a few games!Comment

DENVER BRONCOS "Not giving up on Manning."
The Denver Broncos are in a downward spiral this year. The wheels have completely fallen off and the sky is falling in the "Mile High City."
"It's been a rough year for us for sure but we're not giving up on an all time great in Peyton Manning." Broncos GM John Elway said.
After a week 9 loss to the New England Patriots earlier today, the Denver Broncos have fell to 1-6-1 on the year with Manning leading the league in Interceptions for the second time. (18).
"He's been hard on himself and we're all in a bit of a funk." Broncos Head Coach John Fox said.
The 38 year old Manning is not sure or not if he's retiring by Season's end but after being benched by the third Quarter in the Patriots loss might seal the deal.
Denver is on the verge of already being eliminated from the Playoffs and even if Peyton gets out of his funk and leads Denver on a tear, 9-6-1 might not be good enough for a Wildcard.
The Front Office in Denver ain't ready to close the door on Manning yet especially with Brock Osweiller and Zac Dysert as the backups.
"Our goal is this year and right now and until he decides to retire, Peyton Manning is our Quarterback." Elway said.
It's been know all year that John Elway is not ready to admit that a new ERA is upon Denver.
A Week 10 Game in Oakland should be a good start for the Broncos to right the ship.
Question is how long until Manning is benched again? Head Coach John Fox is committed to Peyton as well but has already benched him for Osweiller.Comment
