    RECAP

KANSAS CITY- The Tennessee Titans(0-1) struggled to get anything going today vs the Kansas City Chiefs(1-0). In what started out like a chess match in the first quarter turned into a blowout by the end of the game. The stars of the game was Andy Reid's defense.

A Defense that was simply dominant racking up 12 sacks, a defensive TD and 4 turnovers making life for the Titans absolutely miserable.

"It was just a bad game for us all. We struggled to get anything going." Titans Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt stated.

"K.C did a hell of a job on defense. Gotta tip your hat to a performance like that." Titans QB Jake Locker stated.

Locker was a sitting duck today being dropped by the Chiefs defense 9 times.

"It's no excuse. It's our job as the guys up front to protect our Quarterback. Today we didn't do our job." Titans Rookie Right Tackle Taylor Lewan stated.

    He gave up 2 sacks.

The Titans Offensive Line crumbled on just about every snap and left Jake Locker vulnerable in the pocket.

In the 4th Quarter Jake Locker was hurt after taking his 9th sack and left with a chest injury. He is fine.

"After he passed the test and had no injury I didn't want to risk sending him back into the fire. Not after how poorly our line was in protecting him." Titans Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt stated.

Rookie Zach Mettenberger finished the game and was sacked 3 times.

"I'm very proud of our Defense today. After a performance like that we feel we can be the team to beat in the league." Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid stated.

When the Chiefs defense wasn't dropping the Quarterback it was stopping the run holding Shonn Greene to just 34 yards on 11 carries.

The Titans Offense couldn't get anything going.

"It was a great thing to see." Chiefs Quarterback Alex Smith stated. "When your defense has performances like that it really motivates your offense and you feel you can make a run."

Chiefs Running back Jamaal Charles could not be stopped. Racking up 112 yards and a TD on 24 carries.

"It was a great performance on both sides. We started slow but got the ball rolling and it was a great win for us." Chiefs Offensive Coordinator Doug Pederson stated.

Alex Smith was picked off twice today but managed to even it out with 2 TD's to really lead the Chiefs into a week 2 showdown with Denver next week.

The Titans will look to rebound when they host the Cowboys next week in their opener.

DOLPHINS Plan for a familiar foe as Tom Brady and NEW ENGLAND comes to town.....

MIAMI DOLPHINS(0-0) VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS(0-0)

        PREVIEW

MIAMI- It's no secret Tom Brady is the king of the AFC East. Every year Miami, New York, and Buffalo struggle to find ways to beat Brady. This year should be no different.

Then comes the Miami Dolphins of 2014. The Dolphins have just 2 victories over their division rivals over the past 10 games.

"They're a tough challenge for us every year. Each year we plan and plan and they come out on top. Very good football team over there." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin stated.

"They have so many things they do that each time we play them it seems like they have new things to throw at you." Dolphins Quarterback Ryan Tannehill stated.

It should be no different when these two meet on Sunday. The Dolphins will have the comfort of playing this game in the hot sunny weather of South Beach where we know somewhere Ryan's hot wife will be enjoying the sun.

"They still present a challenge for us regardless. Each time it's extensive look at tape." Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick stated.

"Miami is still tough and we can't take them lightly." Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady stated.

New England enters their matchup with Miami healthy as zero players are hurt. It's likewise for Miami as well.

"It's always a blessing when you have healthy players." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin stated.

New England enters with quite a bit of weaponry for Tom Brady. Shane Vereen and James White in the backfield.

Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Brandon LaFell and Marquez North(R) not to mention the best TE in football Rob Gronkowski.

"We have a great core of players on our offense. Bunch of playmakers all over." Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels stated.

On Defense, New England brings a front seven of Rob Ninkovich, Chandler Jones, Vince Wilfork, Tommy Kelly, Dont'a Hightower, Jerod Mayo, and Jamie Collins.

The secondary will be anchored by All Pro Veteran Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Logan Ryan, Malcom Butler(R) and Safeties Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung.

"Lots of playmakers on Defense." Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia stated.

Miiami however will look for a way to slow down New England. Ryan Tannehill is still the starter for the team considering his wife enjoys the beaches of Miami.

Head Coach Joe Philbin has two rookies on the bench at QB in Tyler Van Tubbergen and Vick's younger brother Marcus who Philbin signed this past off season with open arms. Miami also has veteran Matt Moore.

Tannehill will have Knowshon Moreno and Daniel Thomas in the backfield.

Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline, Corey Powell(R), Damian Williams, and TE Dion Sims.

On defense, the Dolphins front seven will be Cameron Wake, Dion Jordan, Randy Starks, Jared Odrick, Koa Misi, Dannell Ellerbe and Phillip Wheeler.

When Brady throws the ball he'll test the coverage of veterans Brent Grimes, Cortland Finnegan, Will Davis, and Safeties Louis Delmas and Reshad Jones.

        It's Patriots-Dolphins fans and it's on!

          RECAP

MIAMI- It was a bad day at the office for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The Dolphins took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

"We knew we had to start fast. They can make you pay with every mistake." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin stated.

But knowing the character of Tom Brady and New England, they refused to quit.

Going into halftime down 21-3, the Patriots needed to rebound and they did in the second half.

          But it was too late.

Despite holding Miami scoreless in the 3rd quarter the Patriots also failed to put up anymore points.

"We dug ourselves a hole and we couldn't get out." Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady stated.

But then came the 4th when Patriots scored 14 points. The problem was that Miami began to run over Belichick's defense dropping another 17 points to run away with the game and the win.

"Bad Defense. Bad Coaching. Bad football." Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick stated.

The Dolphins defense kept the Patriots offense at bay for most of the game dropping Tom Brady 8 times and holding him to just one Touchdown.

Running back Shane Vereen got the other.

"We knew with how great he (Tom Brady) is we had to keep pressuring him and catching him off guard." Dolphins Defensive End Cameron Wake stated. He had 3 sacks and 4 tackles today.

Despite throwing 2 picks Ryan Tannehill was flawless today throwing 3 Touchdowns and almost 300 yards.

"We had a good gameplan going in. Joe (Philbin) did a great job to prepare us. The entire coaching staff did. New England is the best team in the Division and for us to beat them here today is something special." Dolphins Quarterback Ryan Tannehill stated.

Dolphins Running back Knowshon Moreno was the star racking up 132 yards on just 30 carries today.

"We need to stop the run. Gotta watch the tape this week." Patriots Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia stated.

This marks the second consecutive loss for the Patriots in Miami dating back to last season. The Patriots swept Miami in 2012.

          CHASING HISTORY

Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady moves into the 6th spot on the All Time Passing Yards list.

          UP NEXT

The Miami Dolphins(1-0) head to Buffalo to face the Bills(0-1).

Patriots continue the road trip head to Minnesota to face the Vikings(0-1).

Reunited in TAMPA BAY as Lovie Smith and Josh McCown bring in NEW ERA!

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS(0-0) VS CAROLINA PANTHERS(0-0)

              PREVIEW

TAMPA- The Super Bowl winning team of Tampa Bay during the 2002 season has come and gone. What followed was heartbreak and mediocrity. Jon Gruden is long gone.

All that remains in Tampa is now the quiet shadows of the confetti from so long ago. That lone Lombardi Trophy sits quietly in the case by itself collecting dust.

A eerie reminder for that great team so long ago.

Now the Buccaneers look to the future and usher in a new era after a disastrous 4-12 season which saw former Head Coach Greg Schiano shown the door.

Lovie Smith is now the Head Coach and the Front Office has changes as well bringing in Jason Licht as new General Manager. Licht spent the past few years in Arizona and New England in various positions.

Now with the new era in Tampa with a Head Coach who has experience in winning games, making playoffs, and even making the Super Bowl.

Former Bears backup Quarterback Josh McCown has been named the starter and brought to Tampa Bay to reunite with his Bears Coach Lovie Smith.

McCown knows Smith's system very well.

"He was a guy we really wanted when we got here. He knows me and my system quite well. " Bucs Head Coach Lovie Smith stated.

"I'm excited to be here back with Lovie. We had some good chemistry in Chicago and i'm excited to be the starter." Buccaneers Quarterback Josh McCown stated.

Josh McCown will be running an Offense with new Offensive Coordinator Jeff Tedford. A QB whisperer. He's coached Quarterbacks like Trent Dilfer and Aaron Rodgers.

Tedford's Offense with Josh McCown will consist of a stud Running back Doug Martin. Handful of weapons in Vincent Jackson, Mike Evans(R), Louis Murphy Jr, Lavelle Hawkins, TE's Brandon Myers and Luke Stocker.

"We had a solid camp for our first year. This is a process but we're happy with our first step." Buccaneers Offensive Coordinator Jeff Tedford stated.

Former Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier has joined Lovie's staff and will be the new Defensive Coordinator for the season.

His new defense isn't scaring anyone yet although it has veterans.

His front seven will be anchored by Gerald McCoy, John Barton(R) Michael Johnson, Jonathan Casillas, Mason Foster, Danny Lansanah, and Lavonte David.

              Dane Fletcher is out.

The secondary is Alterraun Verner, Johnthan Banks, Mike Jenkins, Chris Sparks(R), Mark Barron, Andrew Smith(R), Keith Tandy, and Dashon Goldson.

The Buccaneers first challenge in the new era is Division rival the defending South Champions, Carolina Panthers.

Tampa Bay will have a uphill battle this year as they look to make it back to the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

"Division games are always hard." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated. "They know us more than the league does. It's a challenge everytime."

"We didn't have a good run last year losing to San Francisco. We're motivated to go deeper this year." Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton stated.

Cam Newton's offense this year will be ran by same Offensive Coordinator Mike Shula. Deangelo Williams, and Jonathan Stewart in the backfield.

Weapons of Robert Foster(R), Jamal Walker(R), Jerricho Cotchery, Jason Avant, Kelvin Benjamin(R), and TE Greg Olson.

The Panthers Defense in DC's Sean McDermott's system is anchored by a monstrous front seven of Greg Hardy, Charles Johnson, Kawann Short, Thomas Davis, Luke Kuechly, D.J Smith, and Chase Blackburn.

The Secondary will be Antoine Cason, Josh Norman, Josh Thomas, Thomas Decoud, and Roman Harper.

TAMPA- Opening kickoff for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today was hot, humid, and very wet. Rainstorms from the Atlantic poured down on Raymond James Stadium as the Panthers and Bucs played old school backyard football for four quarters.

                And it showed.

Tampa Bay had 7 turnovers thanks to no one being able to hold on to the soaking wet football.

Quarterback Josh McCown threw 5 picks although few of those weren't all on him. His first pass of the game was a pick 6 to Panthers Cornerback Antoine Cason.

The Panthers would open up a 31-7 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Turnovers doomed the new Buc's Offense. The Defense was helpless as Cam Newton and company piled on a whopping 58 points.

                It was ugly all around.

"Bad weather. Bad Football." Buccaneers Head Coach Lovie Smith stated.

Bad weather is right. Everybody was slipping around in the wet conditions.

The Panthers Defense dropped Josh McCown 8 times with 5 of them coming from his blind side. They picked him off 5 times with Josh Norman and Antoine Cason each getting 2.

"It's disgusting. Our performance today is beyond terrible. We can't let guys get past us. We need to do a better job protecting our Quarterback." Buccaneers Left Tackle Anthony Collins stated.

"I thought we played well today given the weather. Yes we had 3 turnovers but we never quit with the rain." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

"Bad game for us all around. My play didn't help us either. I need to make better decisions." Buccaneers Quarterback Josh McCown stated.

The Buccaneers(0-1) stay home next week with a battle with the Sam Bradfordless St. Louis Rams(1-0).

The Panthers(1-0) will have their home opener next week as they face the Detroit Lions(0-0).

HARBAUGH, KAEPERNICK, 49ERS look to rebound in 2014 vs DALLAS COWBOYS

                  PREVIEW

DALLAS- Many fans remember the epic rivalry from the 90's between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers. Gone are the days of Troy Aikman and Steve Young.

But when these two teams kick off in Dallas today it will be a glimpse of past history.

The 49ers fell one step short last year from appearing in a second straight Super Bowl thanks to a tipped pass from "The best Corner in the Game" Richard Sherman.

If that wasn't bad enough, the ultimate gut punch was San Francisco then had to watch their rivals Seattle Seahawks go on to win their first Super Bowl in epic blowout fashion.

"I'm not here to talk about Seattle. It's a brand new year for us and I have no words for them over there. I'm here to focus on this year and getting my team back to the playoffs." 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick stated.

"Everybody in this locker room who was here last year all feel the same about how our season ended last year. It's a new year so it's time to close the door on last year." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh stated.

"Everybody wants to bring up Seattle. We're not playing Seattle. We're playing Dallas. Lets talk about that." 49ers Wide Receiver Anquan Boldin said.

The 49ers first step to getting back to the playoffs begin today as they must face Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys who are coming off their third consecutive 8-8 year in which Tony Romo was also hurt and Dallas limped to the finish line.

"We've been in a funk these past few years. We've put some great plans in place here and laid a foundation." Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

He's also clapping as he speaks.

Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo is very excited about this season.

"Absolutely. We had a great camp and pre-season. The young guys have come along nicely. We're all excited for this year." Romo stated.

The Cowboys have spent the off-season and draft revamping. Romo's offense led by Offensive Coordinator Scott Linehan could be dangerous this year.

A great running game of Demarco Murray, Ezekiel Elliot(R), and Lance Dunbar.

Weapons of Dez Bryant, Justin Black(R), Terrance Williams, Dwayne Harris, Cole Beasley, and Jason Witten.

New Defensive Coordinator Rod Marinelli has put his new scheme in place.

A front seven consisting of Tyrone Crawford, Anthony Spencer, Henry Melton, Bruce Carter, Sean Lee, Justin Durant, and Scott Ramsey(R).

A secondary led by veteran Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne, Orlando Scandrick, B.W Webb with safeties Barry Church, and J.J Wilcox.

The Cowboys defense will be tasked with stopping the dynamic Colin Kaepernick who is a threat on his legs.

The 49ers however can do some damage in the backfield with Frank Gore.

The weapons for Kaep can do some damage when given the ball.

Anquan Boldin, Jerry Rice, Jr, Michael Crabtree, Stevie Johnson, and Tight End Vernon Davis.

But we all know the San Francisco 49ers is built around their defense as Jim Harbaughs D.C Vic Fangio has a great scheme in place for the 9ers.

A vicious front seven of Ray McDonald, Justin Smith, Glenn Dorsey, Ahmad Brooks, Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman, and Aldon Smith.

A secondary led by Tramaine Brock, Chris Cook, Chris Culliver, Perrish Cox, and Safeties Eric Reid, and Antoine Bethea.

                    RECAP

DALLAS- The Cowboys came out swinging today driving 80 yards on the opening drive for a very quick 7-0 lead. The 49ers defense had many miscues and even more mistakes.

Then another blow. Chris Cook received the kickoff just to fumble instantly as Cowboys defense picked it up and ran it in for a quick score and sending San Francisco into a 14-0 hole.

"I think it was those two things that did us in. After that 14-0 hole we just didn't respond." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh stated.

The 49ers battled but Quarterback Colin Kaepernick struggled to throw the ball but managed to find Jerry Rice, Jr on a slant with blown coverage that turned into a 45 yard play before Frank Gore punched it in from the one yard line.

That was the theme today. Both defenses blowing man coverages and leaving WR's wide open.

So open, that Dallas Quarterback Tony Romo was 15/15 for 143 yards and a score. Romo was sacked only twice as the Cowboys Offensive line did stellar work keeping Pass rushers off their Quarterback majority of the game.

                    Until the 2nd Quarter.

Romo left the game after taking a hit to his throwing shoulder which gave him sore muscles in his quad. He's due back next week.

"We kept him out for medical reasons. We felt we could win the game with Weeden at Quarterback." Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

When Brandon Weeden came in it was like the Cowboys line just didn't care as the 49ers defense dropped him 4 times.

The 49ers defense was absolutely atrocious in defending the pass as many miscues led to wide open receivers. However they were completely different in stopping the run.

They held Demarco Murray to just 40 yards on 15 carries.

"I was very proud of how we stopped the run, but how we performed in defending the pass? That's absolutely ridiculous." Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio stated.

"Offense was good. Run defense was excellent, pass defense? Absolutely embarrassing." Head Coach Jim Harbaugh stated.

"I wasn't very good with my arm today. I did most work with my legs but this team needs me to throw more and I know I can." 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick stated.

"I'm very proud of this team even if it's just the first week. I feel like this team can make the Super Bowl." Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones stated.

                    Jason Garrett claps to this.

"Yeah it's our goal. We have family in this locker room." Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

The 49ers(0-1) will be back to the drawing board and must get their pass defense cleaned up before they open brand new Levi's Stadium against the Chicago Bears(1-0) next Sunday Night.

The Cowboys(1-0) begin their first road trip heading to the Music City to battle the Tennessee Titans(0-1).

                          RECAP

DENVER- The Denver Broncos(1-0) began the 2014 season the same way they started 2013.

With Peyton Manning crushing the defense and throwing 7 Touchdown passes.

Chants of MVP echoed throughout Mile High as the Broncos crushed the Colts Sunday night 62-24 thanks to Peyton's 7 TD's.

"It such a masterful performance to watch. " Broncos Head Coach John Fox stated.

Cameras caught Broncos General Manager and Broncos legend John Elway high fiving other executives throughout the night.

The Broncos Offense could not be stopped as Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase showed the league on Prime Time why he would be a good fit for a Head Coaching job down the line.

"Great performance by our offense. Very proud of these guys." Gase said.

The Broncos defense however did their part yet gave up quite a bit of yards as Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck threw for 334 yards and 3 TD's.

"I'm always in awe when I watch Peyton play. Greatest ever." Luck stated.

"This is how we started the year last year now we need to make sure we finish it." Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas stated. He caught 3 TD's tonight.

"We really didn't do much on defense but thankfully Peyton gave us a huge cushion to work with." Broncos Corner Aqib Talib stated.

The Broncos high powered offense will be put to the test next week at home vs Division rival Kansas City who's defense punished Tennessee.

The Colts(0-1) get ready for their second prime time game and home opener as they host the Eagles(1-0) on Monday Night Football.

GIANTS, LIONS look to bounce back in 2014...

                              PREVIEW

DETROIT- The Giants are looking to bounce back after back to back years of missing the playoffs. The G-Men have been on a downward spiral since winning their 2nd Super Bowl in 5 years back in 2011. They followed that up by posting a 9-7 record and a 7-9 record last year while watching the playoffs from home.

For many fans in Giants Nation it's not hard to see why.

                              Jerry Reese.

The Giants General Manager has been with the organization since 1994. He's known to hand out one year contracts like he's putting on a band aid.

The Giants have moved on from 2011 while letting players like David Tyree, Corey Webster, and Hakeem Nicks among countless others.

It's no wonder why the Giants are on a downward spiral.

"My job is to put a team together capable of winning Championships." General Manager Jerry Reese stated.

The Giants now enter 2014 looking for a new hope that they can make it back to the playoffs.

"We talk about it all the time. It's hard winning games in this league and we would like to be in the playoffs but Jerry has to assemble a team do that." Owner John Mara stated.

"Our focus is on this year and the hard work we have to do. One game at a time." Giants Quarterback Eli Manning stated.

Offensive Coordinator Ben McAdoo will look to put together a strong Giants offense this year and has players to do so.

Eli Manning will have Rashad Jennings and Michael Cox in the back field. Victor Cruz, Steve Shepherd, Rueben Randle, Mario Manningham, Jerrell Jernigan and TE Mark Andrews(R) Not to mention Odell Beckham(R)

Longtime Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell who has been with the Giants for 5 years now will have some playmakers on defense.

Front Seven of Robert Franklin(R), Jason Pierre-Paul, Cullen Jenkins, Johnathan Hankins, Matthew Wood(R), Jon Beason, and Spencer Paysinger.

A Secondary of Prince Amukamara, Leroy Brown(R), DRC, Walter Thurmond III and Safeties Stevie Brown and Antrel Rolle.

The Lions enter a new era themselves with Jim Caldwell as the man in charge with a new Coaching staff.

Matthew Stafford will have Reggie Bush, Theo Riddick, Megatron, Golden Tate, Hunter Sharp(R), T.J Jones(R), Jeremy Ross and TE Eric Ebron.

The Defense could make some noise though a front seven of Jason Jones, Keith Brunner(R), Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley, Ashlee Palmer, Stephen Tulloch and Deandre Levy.

The secondary is anchored by veteran Rashean Mathis and youngsters Reggie Owens(R), Justin Cox(R), Darius Slay, Jonte Green and Safeties Glover Quin and James Ihedigbo.

                                RECAP

DETROIT- The New York Giants(0-1) came out firing on all cylinders tonight starting off with a 60 yard bomb from Eli Manning to WR Jerrel Jernigan who burned rookie Corner Reggie Owens for a Touchdown.

                                The Giants didn't stop there.

On Detroits first possession Quarterback Matthew Stafford was stripped sacked and the Giants picked up the fumble and ran it in for another score.

The G-Men continued the slaughter taking a 27-0 lead into halftime and the Giants looked like the Patriots slayers once again from that 2011 season.

The Defense was fire. The Offense was scoring.

It looked like the Giants we're back. But then something happened.

                                The wheels fell off.

"I don't know how to explain it." Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin stated. "We need to play all four quarters."

In the second half, Detroit mounted a 27 point comeback and outscored New York 35-3 in the second half.

"It was embarrassing honestly." Giants Wideout Victor Cruz. "It's like we just took our foot off the gas."

"It's awful. No other words to explain it. Blowing a huge lead like that? Unacceptable." Giants Quarterback Eli Manning stated.

"We knew if we kept fighting we could give our guys a chance." Lions Head Coach Jim Caldwell stated.

"We knew if we kept battling and our defense held them scoreless we could rebound on offense. Very proud of the effort here today." Lions Quarterback Matthew Stafford stated.

The Lions(1-0) fed off the crowd at Ford Field rallying in the second half as cameras caught Giants Owner Steve Tisch pissed off in the Owners box.

"The Offense went stale in the second half and that's on me." Giants Offensive Coordinator Ben McAdoo stated.

                                TURNOVERS

The turnovers in todays game also contributed to Detroit's rally as New York had 5 turnovers with 3 Eli's picks and 2 fumbles.

The Lions had 3 with 1 Stafford pick and fumble.

The Lions also lost rookie Safety Jerome Parker for 4 weeks with a dislocated elbow.

"I feel like I want to fire everybody." Giants Owner Steve Tisch stated.

It's rumored after the blowout, Giants General Manager Jerry Reese made a beeline for the airport.

"I know everyone is upset but it's one game. Still a long season." Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin said.

The Giants(0-1) will host their home opener next week when they welcome the Arizona Cardinals(0-0) who are about to kick off the second Monday Night game.

The Lions head to Carolina to face the Panthers(1-0).
