      *Defensively (typo in the recap)

Rough game. Scrambling quarterback absolutely tore me up. Tried everything to stop it but my defense is super slow. Also, I personally was terrible on the sticks. ON ME haha

Also, super interesting to see #3 Utah get upset and #6 Baylor lose to FCS West. And now 6 BIG10 teams in the Top 10

        Had a BYE week.

Really surprised to see Ohio State get killed by Virginia Tech. Also, interesting to see Florida back in the Top 10 with 2 losses. There's a lot of good teams that are undefeated behind them. Also interested to see how Notre Dame handles playing four Top 10 teams in the next month.

Not really sure how I pulled this one off based of last week's outing. Did not play stellar on offense but I guess good enough. WVU's QB AI was a bit wacky. He'd either throw immediately or tuck and run immediately- I had a much more successful spy this week going. If the team was better we would have won 28-7 but they were very close to coming back and stealing the win.

Tough win by Notre Dame over Wisconsin. Was keeping track of the Syracuse Clemson game on the ticker at the bottom. Clemson blew a 24-0 lead but saved it the end. Ohio State lost again. #2 to unranked in two weeks (pretty sure they're a 99 overall). Wow.

Cool to see three Non-P5 teams in the Top 25. UNLV is a super dark horse at like a 77 overall.

As for my game. In all my years playing NCAA 14 I never had one end quite like that. My quarterback had dreadful accuracy and his picks kept them in the game. In fact, we had to score late to tie it at 24-24. They were driving and I was just shooting for overtime at this point as they were at my 50 with about 40 seconds. Luckily, we stopped them then got the ball. We had about 15 seconds and 70 yards to go but I thought it'd be worth a shot to go deep and maybe set up a field goal. Called a play that felt like it would work- had my receiver wide open and he overthrew. 6 seconds left. Kind of pointless (and I guess stupid in hindsight) but I wanted to go for it again. This time it was picked and their safety ran it back to the fifty with no time left. Then, of course, he was tackled by his facemask. 15 yard penalty and an untimed down. They kicked a 45-yard field goal to win it. I lost in regulation on a field goal when I had the ball with 6 seconds left.

Louisville pounded Notre Dame. I looked up their roster and they're absolutely stacked. The Hawkins RB has 99 speed, acceleration, and agility. Their QB is pretty good too. A sleeper team. Also, cool to see UCF jump to #4 in a P5 conference while G5 Memphis cracked the Top 10- basically cementing that they will get bumped up to Independent unless everything collapses.

Memphis has made it to #4. Ohio State lost AGAIN. Florida is back up to #3 with two losses. Clemson stays ahead of Virginia Tech despite losing to them. This system is a dumpster fire right now lol. Also sad to see UCF lose to Georgia but they could redeem themselves against Florida this week. Also, can Louisville's insane offense knock off Michigan?

Despite my loss, I feel much better moving forward. Tuioti was good on paper and even started the season well but his lack of mobility coupled with his occasional erratic accuracy killed us. Trae Hall has about an 85 speed and he can actually extend plays and adds a read option element. In the second half, he was great and we outscored them 20-7. CSU was a really good team though- not surprised they're undefeated. Their QB was a 91, WR a 95, and they had RB that absolutely trucked my defense all night long. One play I recall that put a dagger in the game was him breaking literally four tackles to go ahead 31-20 with a minute left. Hall is the man now though, and I think we can whoop up on Rice.

System is acting pretty nutty right now. Memphis has reached #2 while Fresno State and UNLV are both top 15 now (they play in two weeks- hope they stay unbeaten for a rare MWC Top 10 showdown). Sad to UCF lose close and Louisville is looking real tough after another Top 5 win.

As for my sorry team, Hall didn't throw many picks but he sure fumbled a lot. Totally killed three different drives. My defense just plain sucks lol. I have guys in position all the time and they just get ran over. Mostly due to the sliders being so tough but if I can beat 88 overall WVU, I can win most of my remaining games. I have contemplated stripping Cedric Nealy's redshirt, a stud freshman QB I have, but this season wouldn't be worth it.

Also, something I’ve been wanting to do is have you all create some prospects and then I’ll also track their careers- kind of to add a level of interactivity with the whole project. Maybe even some CPU coaches at some point in the off-season.

Here’s how I am going to do it:

*one prospect per season per person*

                        Name:
                        Position: (can be any)
                        HT/WT:
Appearance: (doesn’t have to be detailed)
Type of Player: (ex: slot receiver)
                        Home State:

For your overall, I’m going to do a random number generator between 90 and 70 overall with the odds of getting higher/lower than 80 drastically dropping every point. Meaning the odds of getting a 90 overall will be like 1/1000, 85 like 1/100, 80 like 1/10.

You can go ahead and do these and I’ll find a way to work them in the recruiting. I’ll give updates on your top schools then also how you do statistically in college.

Go ahead and drop some prospects!

                          '

I was so bummed to see Fresno State lose. I was watching the ticker below and they blew a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter. So much for the MWC Top 10 Showdown lol. Oklahoma narrowly won in OT too. They play their first T25 team of the year this week. Also, Florida suffered its third loss and is still #11. Somehow Mississippi State (one loss) is still only like #15.

As for my game, it was a breath of fresh air. Literally started with a sack fumble and luckily held them to a field goal. Then threw a pick and their offense torched me down the field (I believe their offensive grade was around 93). I nickel and dimed them to score with some creative play actions and screens but their offense didn't even reach third down in the first half- just destroyed me. Second half, I don't know what I did really but we kept them from scoring and they went for it on fourth down twice in the redzone and didn't get it. Rode Vigilant and chewed the clock to steal that win.

A lot of movement in the Top 10. Oklahoma shows that it was all fluff and lose their first and only ranked matchup of the year- putting C-USA Memphis at #1. UNLV settles the MWC debate with a big win over Fresno State to get to #4. The system is currently sweating lol- currently looking into understanding the playoff mod to appease the different stories coming in. Also, Michigan State takes out rival Michigan while Alabama slips to LSU. All has come together for a HUGE #2 Louisville vs #3 Michigan State.

For my game, it was probably our best overall performance this season. Took moderate care of the ball and defense was tough- Hall was accurate and used his speed well. North Texas had some great players including a stud QB. Honestly, when they tied it 21-21 in the fourth- I just felt like we were going to blow it. But the very next play, the improbable hero of the season, Vigilant, takes it right off the tackle, hits a perfect juke, and manages to outrun everyone despite being like an 87 speed. Defense played off the momentum, and we took it home. BACK TO BACK W'S.

#1 Memphis finally goes down- leaving only UNLV to be the one throwing a wrench in the system. New #1 Louisville is definitely the undisputed best team in football right now after beating former #3 Michigan State 41-6. They're led by Heisman frontrunner Javian Hawkins.

My game with Kansas was hard to play up until the very end. Their RB decimated me. We played from behind the entire game, 14-0 in the first, 21-10 into the fourth, 28-10 with five minutes left. I finally figured out to how to get some arm strength behind Trae Hall's passes and got two quick scoring drives but they had managed a field goal after a failed onside kick. I couldn't go into detail above but the ending was truly crazy. After pulling within 31-25 with 1:15 left, we failed another kick. Their first run put them at 2nd and 1, and I only had two more timeouts to spare. Somehow, someway, after getting whooped all night, we stopped both runs to force 4th down. They elected to try a 56 yard field goal and missed. I had around 60 seconds and 60 yards to go with no timeouts. SACKED- first play. We scramble back as we lost 20 seconds. I rush and almost throw a pick next play. 3rd and 17. I call a post-wheel play that hadn't worked all game but I prolonged the play long enough to get a HUGE pass and catch to put us all the way at the 10. We scramble to get to the ball- about 15 seconds left. I panic and call a slant. I connect but he was tackled in bounds at the 2. BIG PANIC. I have no idea what to call- team is super tired, clock is under 5 seconds- I blindly call read option and snap. Could not even see the read man yet handed it to Vigilant to a wide open gap up the middle. Set, match, game. 32-31. A complete robbery.

Man, some crazy game endings in this thread! Looks like everything always finds its level, as you threw away that one a few games back with the INT/facemask combo to lose, but pulled it out with the crazy comeback in this one. Love your little graphics where you can see the Top 10 and who’ve they’ve beaten and things like that. Very clean and a nice setup.
