Welcome to Big Country Gaming. You can call me OKST56; it's been my gamertag for almost 20 years. That particular storyline is reserved for another thread in the near future.
I've always had the desire to record my dynasty progress for a multitude of games. I begin playing a version of college football in the 90's, but my initial memories are fuzzy at best when this first began. I like to tell people I've been a delusional, wannabe, know-it-all, legend of my own mind offensive coordinator since '98. This is when I distinctly remember buying the very first installment of NCAA Football on Playstation.
Until recent years, I really didn't know such a community existed that had the same love for college football, video games, and the desire to track dynasty careers. I used to have handwritten notebooks after notebooks filled with scribbles of stats, and my own crude databases to track recruits, conference standings over time, even transfer players. But then... an evolution happened.
I'm relatively new to the online gaming community (opting for mostly offline dynasty play and other challenges) and I'm extremely new to world of PC's. I had grown weary of beating 99 overall teams with my 65 overall dumpster fire teams on Heisman difficulty, and thus began a large domino effect that y'all are now on the receiving end of by reading this. The long story short of it is this; I stumbled onto an operation sports thread, found JKit's sliders, which triggered a search on social media for NCAA 14 dynasty streamers. I found a community, and then... college football revamped was born a few years ago. I've spent a large amount of time over the last 2 years doing several personal "revamped" modding projects and db/hex editing on NCAA 14.
Over time, the urge to return to my roots grew and I then began searching for earlier installments of NCAA Football to play. My favorite as a child was NCAA 07, and no... I'm not here to argue, to each their own because all that matters is that we all had a love for the franchise. As I was searching for mods, I found the NCAA Next Mod for NCAA 06. This is a fantastic mod, you can find them here https://www.ncaanext.com/. They have taken it upon themselves to create a great product with updated uniforms, logos, gameplay etc. Check it out! With this awesome mod, and some help with new online friends, I'm able to now pursue my passion and begin my very first dynasty tracker online.
