You might have to turn injuries off if your RB's keep getting hurt.. I really hope that next year's game allows you to insert a other positions on the depth chart like a backup QB who is a scrambler, or a WR/CB who was a Athlete.. I was down to 2 healthy RB's and have a RB I converted to WR but sadly couldn't move him back for depth so instead he is stuck as my #5 WR and KR.. I ended up pulling a redshirt off a 3* Recruit I was hoping to save for next season.

Big win though.. But you got some big games left.. Seems like right now the offense is basically Ride or Die with Salako.

Yeah I'm not sure how QBs can be on the WR depth chart, but not for the HB.

When Zach went down I was curious and called a two back play....they inserted Kalen Hurts into the game as the 2nd back even though he's still out 5 more weeks. So worst case scneario maybe he gets back on the field?? lol. I had this happen wtih Ball State once and they ended up using by 88OVR power rushing DE as the 2nd back when needed, I never gave him the ball though.

and yeah, if Atwell or Toomer had given us a spark when called upon I might have more confidence going to them, but currently Salako gives us the best chance with his mobility. Definitely hoped for more out of him, but I was probably spoiled by Hendrix coming in so ready to play lol

LEFT - In what has become a frustrating trend, Salako once again "double dipped" interceptions to end the 1st half and begin the 2nd.
CENTER - Despite the interceptions, Salako's mobility continues to give Georgia their best chance offensively, seen here leaving the Auburn defenders leaping at shadows on his way to the opening score.
RIGHT - Georgia finally got home on Auburn QB Pierre Kuhn with this strip sack by freshman Cory Lane, leading to 4 total sacks in the final quarter and change by the Dawgs.

Auburn, AL. - Georgia bounced back from a sluggish start and a flurry of turnovers to take firm control of The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry, pulling away from Auburn in the second half for a 38-17 road victory. Behind a gritty performance from true freshman QB DaShawn Salako and a second-half defensive surge, the #6 Bulldogs moved to 8-2 and set up a winner-takes-all showdown for the SEC East against Kentucky next week.

Auburn tried to hit Georgia with a haymaker on the very first play, as backup quarterback Pierre Kuhn—starting for the injured Logan Blackwell—launched a deep shot down the middle. But Georgia corner Oscar Allen read it all the way, jumping the post route for an interception that set the tone. Two plays later, Salako juked his way into the end zone on a 10-yard run, and the Dawgs had the early lead.

To their credit, Auburn fought back. Kuhn found Damien Wilkes twice for short touchdowns in the first half, matching Georgia score for score as Salako added another TD run. But the second quarter ended on a sour note for Georgia, as Salako threw an interception in the red zone. It would be the first of three straight turnovers for the freshman QB—he followed it up with another interception on the first drive of the second half, then lost a fumble on a scramble attempt.

And yet, Auburn could only muster three points off the sudden swing in momentum. The Bulldog defense stiffened when it mattered, holding the Tigers to a 49-yard field goal after the fumble gave them the ball at the Georgia 30. That would be Auburn’s last lead of the day.

Georgia responded by grinding down the Tigers with a nine-play, run-heavy drive that ended with third-string back Dexter Gaudet (the lone healthy RB left) punching it in from three yards out. From there, the Dawgs took over. Freshman strong safety Cory Lane blitzed from the edge and stripped Kuhn, with linebacker Nico Parra scooping it and racing 30 yards to the end zone. That sparked a 24-0 Georgia run to close the game, capped by Salako’s fourth touchdown—a 24-yard strike to Cole Soto after Kuhn’s second interception.

Though Salako’s stat line (14/25, 189 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 2 rush TD) doesn’t jump off the page, he continues to be a dynamic threat, adding 82 yards on the ground. With over 2,000 yards of total offense and 28 combined touchdowns on the season, his playmaking ability remains the engine of an offense that’s inconsistent through the air but deadly when it gets rolling downhill.

Georgia’s defense—after a quiet first half—racked up four sacks in the second, while holding Auburn to just 53 total yards over the final two quarters. Despite a scare when fill-in starter Zach Gaskin dislocated his shoulder, head coach Nash Savage confirmed the running back is expected to return next week.

Now all eyes turn to Lexington, where Georgia will face off with a surging Kentucky squad for the SEC East crown. A win clinches a spot in the SEC Championship Game. A loss? That would leave the Bulldogs scoreboard watching in Week 14, hoping for a Kentucky stumble to sneak into Atlanta.

Meanwhile, Ball State continued to assert dominance in the Big 12, hammering #20 Kansas 59-14 in a statement win to stay undefeated in conference play.

West Virginia might have something to say about a Ball State/Georgia matchup.. Will be interesting to see what seed the Bulldogs can pull off will they end up a #3 or #4 or not even get a Top-4 seed. Also Syracuse is still there looking like they should continue to win and make the playoffs too.

A loss to Kentucky might knock us out of both the SEC CCG and the CFP depending on how far we fall. WVU is only 1 game up on Miami and two up on Syracuse, but holds the tiebreaker on both with just Pittsburgh (5-5) and BC (2-8? something around there) left so they should make the ACC CCG, meaning Syracuse can't slip up in their last two, which includes Miami in the final week, to make the CFP again. Ball State is in a better spot with a two game lead, but they play both the 2nd place (Arkansas) and 3rd place (Iowa State)teams to finish the season, so if they drop both they'll be needing luck to make the Big 12 CCG and would need the auto bid to make the CFP if they did indeed lose both.

Definitely some drama for both squads going into the final few weeks and especially with how we've been hot and cold offensively a win against Kentucky is far from guaranteed.

LEFT - On top of the 6 interceptions, the Dawgs tallied 4 sacks on Kats QB Sal Correa.
CENTER - Even when they made a big play, Kentucky struggled after failing to capitalize on a Salako INT, then having the kick blocked to come away empty handed.
RIGHT - Despite an early interception, Salako continued to show improvement with his decision making completing 68% of his passes with 240 yards and 4 TDs.

Athens, GA. - Georgia left no doubt in Athens on Saturday afternoon, steamrolling #11 Kentucky 52-6 to clinch the SEC Southeast title and punch their ticket to the SEC Championship Game. From the very first drive, it was clear the Bulldogs came to make a statement, as DaShawn Salako led a 7-play march capped by a 9-yard touchdown pass to Lonnie Banks. The very next play from scrimmage, Kentucky’s Sal Correa tossed a prayer into double coverage that Georgia CB Oscar Allen easily intercepted—his second straight week with a pick on the game’s opening play. Salako wasted no time making the Wildcats pay, uncorking a 61-yard strike to Banks for their second connection of the day and a 14-0 lead before Kentucky could catch its breath.

Despite a Salako interception in the first half, the Wildcats failed to capitalize, missing a field goal after a drive stalled thanks to a big third-down sack. Kentucky would eventually get on the board with a 32-yard field goal late in the second quarter, but it was little more than a speed bump. Georgia answered with a Quincey Toone 39-yard field goal of their own and took a commanding 17-3 lead into the half.

Correa’s brutal day continued right out of halftime, tossing his third interception—this time to linebacker Ronnie Fritz, who nearly took it the distance. Salako made quick work of the short field, hitting Cole Soto for an 8-yard touchdown and then finding Banks again for their third score of the day. The Bulldogs extended their lead to 31-3 as Correa’s day came to a merciful end after a fourth interception, this one in the end zone to snuff out Kentucky’s only real scoring opportunity of the day.

Salako tacked on a 1-yard rushing score before heading to the bench, finishing with five total touchdowns and another poised, dual-threat performance. Georgia’s reserves didn’t let off the gas either, capitalizing on two interceptions by Kentucky backup Jacques Nester to punch in touchdowns from Zach Gaskin and Dexter Gaudet. The Wildcats finally scratched together a late field goal, but it was far too little, far too late.

With the dominant win, Georgia improves to 9-2 overall and 7-1 in SEC play, locking up a spot in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta. Head coach Nash Savage praised his team’s resilience after a turbulent midseason stretch, acknowledging the grind it took to get to this point. “We earned every bit of this, but now the real work begins,” he said.

Up next for the Dawgs is a home finale against bitter in-state rival Georgia Tech on Senior Night. Meanwhile, Ball State also booked its ticket to a conference championship, edging Arkansas 27-25 in a Big 12 North clincher.

Clean, Old Fashioned Hate Pt. 2

The Yellow Jackets had the last second win in the bag. But sitting at the 1 yard line with 15 seconds left and no timeouts, they opted for the seemingly makable 17 yard FG....and it never had a chance staying to the right of the goal post as Georgia outlasts their most hated rival on Senior Night.

LEFT - BIG MAN TOUCHDOWN!!! 6'3 317LB DDT JT Muma scooped the touchdown and rumbled 65 yards.
CENTER LEFT - Nick DiMarco quietly had 87 rushing yards and two early TDs as the Yellow Jackets kept the pressure on Georgia.
CENTER RIGHT - Despite only a 4/13 line in the 1st half, DaShawn Salako found Cole Soto in the corner of the endzone with some fancy footwork to seize a 21-14 lead going into halftime.
RIGHT - On senior night it was the freshman with the game in his hands after HC Nash Savage decided to go for two and the win.

Athens, GA. - In a rivalry game that will be remembered for years, the #4 Georgia Bulldogs survived a dramatic fourth-quarter rally by #17 Georgia Tech to escape with a 43-42 victory on Senior Night in Athens. With a College Football Playoff spot hanging in the balance, freshman quarterback DaShawn Salako delivered a clutch performance in the final moments, including the game-winning two-point conversion with just over a minute remaining.

Georgia came out sluggish, punting on its first two possessions while Georgia Tech struck first with a 6-yard touchdown run from Nick DiMarco. But momentum swung sharply when Georgia linebacker Ronnie Fritz knocked the ball loose on a second-down blitz, and 317-pound defensive tackle JT Muma scooped it up and rumbled 65 yards for the tying score. The Bulldogs took their first lead early in the second quarter when Salako connected with Lonnie Banks for a short touchdown, but the Jackets responded with DiMarco’s second rushing TD after a Georgia fumble.

With the game tied at 14 late in the first half, a missed 38-yard field goal by Tech’s Max Johns opened the door for Salako to engineer a quick-strike drive. Scrambles of 17 and 16 yards, followed by a 26-yard laser to freshman Cole Soto, gave Georgia a 21-14 halftime advantage despite Salako completing just four passes in the first half.

The fireworks really ignited in the third quarter as Georgia Tech quarterback Stephen Addison lit up the Georgia defense with three touchdown passes, including a back-breaking 80-yard bomb to Jimmy Fogg. Salako and the Bulldogs answered with a 41-yard strike to Jon Amerson and later capped a ground-heavy drive with a 5-yard touchdown run of his own to knot the game at 35 heading into the fourth.

Tech then embarked on a 15-play, 7-minute drive to retake the lead, as Addison found Moses Nealy for a 7-yard score. But Georgia wasn’t finished. Salako, under immense pressure, went 5-for-6 for 83 yards on the final drive, including a critical 19-yard touchdown pass to Lonnie Banks on 3rd and 16 with just 1:06 remaining. Head coach Nash Savage, never one to shy away from risk, called for the two-point conversion—and Salako delivered again, keeping the ball on a jet sweep option and slicing into the end zone to give Georgia a 43-42 lead.

Georgia Tech refused to fold, with Addison converting a miraculous 4th-and-12 with a 40-yard dart to Keke Gwacham. A few more completions and a stunning 21-yard run by DiMarco brought the Yellow Jackets to the 1-yard line. With no timeouts and 13 seconds remaining, they chose to play it safe and lined up for a 17-yard field goal. But Johns, who had already missed from the left hash earlier in the game, pushed his second kick wide right, leaving the Jackets stunned and Georgia victorious.

“We’re in the SEC title game for sure, but a loss here makes the SEC title game a must-win,” Savage said after the game. “The guys knew what was on the line and played their hearts out.”

With the win, Georgia improves to 10-2 and now looks ahead to the SEC Championship Game against Oklahoma in two weeks time. More importantly, the thrilling victory virtually guarantees them a College Football Playoff berth, regardless of the outcome in Atlanta.

I'm still shocked he missed a 17 yard FG..I almost let him score just to have more time left on the clock lol glad I didn't at the last second

I have not played Oklahoma ever in this dynasty, so its a first time matchup. They've got a Heisman contender at QB and both of their WRs were in and out of the convo all season, so they have an explosive offense. Will be interesting how the defense plays, I think if we can get some pressure on them we'll have a shot but if we can't he'll pick apart the secondary. Its easily the weakest link on the defense

Thanks man! All is good, just been busy. Kids have some new after school programs, between that and a new run in BG3 (finally trying to tackle honour mode) and the Oblivion remaster I haven't had time to play a game and write an update at the same time and I hate playing the game then waiting to write the update. Might be slow for a few more weeks until school gets out for the kids, then we should be back up to normal operating speed.

Played the Ball State game last night and just finished up the Sooners game.......will be posting shortly!

Once Oklahoma found their groove with Heisman contender Tim Fotu, it was all over for the Dawgs.

LEFT - Tim Fotu started the game 0/2 with a sack...but would complete 22 of his next 25 passes for 403 yards and 5 touchdowns as Oklahoma buried the Dawgs secondary.
CENTER - Georgia finally snapped a 28-0 run by the Sooners in the 3rd Q, but Oklahoma quickly answered with a rushing touchdown then this dart between defenders by Fotu, his 5th TD throw of the game, to extend Oklahoma's lead to a gargantuan 49-24.
RIGHT - A 2nd interception to open the 4th quarter lead to another touchdown, part of a 2nd 28-0 run by the Sooners, and ended the day for the Georgia offense facing a 56-24 deficit.

Atlanta, GA. - In a clash of titans in the SEC Championship Game, the Georgia Bulldogs entered with a clear game plan: limit the possessions of Oklahoma’s Heisman frontrunner quarterback Tim Fotu. For one quarter, it worked to perfection. Georgia opened with a methodical 10-play drive that chewed over five minutes off the clock and ended with a DaShawn Salako 2-yard keeper for the early lead. Another clock-killing 7-play drive capped by a Salako-to-Lonnie Banks touchdown gave Georgia a 14-0 advantage, and it looked like the Bulldogs might be in control. But Fotu and the Sooners didn’t need long to shift the tide. A perfectly timed strike over cover 2 hit wideout TJ Darden in stride for an 81-yard touchdown, reminding everyone just how dangerous Oklahoma’s offense could be.

Despite dominating time of possession 8:52 to 2:08 in the opening quarter, Georgia only held a 14-7 lead. That slim margin would unravel quickly. After a stalled Georgia drive led to a 45-yard field goal by Quincey Toone to go up 17-7, Fotu engineered three straight scoring drives, tossing touchdown passes to Quincy Zakelj, Darden again, and Stefon Muamba to flip the game completely. The Sooners closed the half on a 21-0 run, taking a commanding 28-17 lead into the break and never looking back.

The onslaught continued into the second half, as Oklahoma opened with a “double dip,” punctuated by Mitchell Harper’s 3-yard touchdown run. Salako briefly interrupted the bleeding with a 32-yard touchdown pass to Banks, snapping a 28-0 Oklahoma run, but it proved to be Georgia’s final spark. Fotu added his fifth touchdown of the night on a short pass to Miguel Day, and after two brutal interceptions from Salako—one returned 45 yards to the house by Leo Allen—the rout was on. Backup Aries Roos added the finishing touch with a 1-yard touchdown plunge to seal a resounding 63-24 victory for the Sooners.

“Hats off to Oklahoma, they knew our game plan and made the most of their opportunities when they had them,” said Georgia head coach Nash Savage following the loss. “We just don’t have the firepower with this roster to keep up, and once they got rolling, we struggled to keep pace.”

The 39-point loss marked the worst of Savage’s illustrious coaching career. After an incredible 119–6 start through eight seasons at Ball State and Syracuse, Savage is now 21–6 in two seasons at Georgia—still impressive, but not quite up to the standard he’s set. It’s also his third loss of 25+ points during his Georgia tenure, having suffered just one such defeat in his previous eight seasons combined.

Analyst Pat McAfee didn’t hold back after the game, delivering his take with the kind of no-nonsense honesty he’s known for. “Listen, Coach Nash Savage has never been a quiet dude. He’s been pounding his chest for a decade saying he’s one of the best in the biz—and honestly, he’s backed that up most of the way. But now that he’s in the SEC? Every coach, every program, every dang booster with a Twitter account has been waiting for the moment to humble him. This wasn’t just a football game for Oklahoma. This was a statement. This was, ‘Welcome to the deep end, pal.’”

McAfee continued, “But I’ll tell you what—I don’t think Savage is going anywhere. He’s not the type to run from the smoke. He’s the kind of guy who orders the smoke. He wants the adversity. He’s always been about proving people wrong and shutting folks up the loudest way possible—by winning. So yeah, they got whooped today. No sugarcoating it. But if you think this is the last we’re hearing from Georgia and Coach Savage this year, you’re outta your mind. That man’s gonna be furious, and his team’s gonna feel it. I would not wanna be the next squad lining up across from those Dawgs.”

Elsewhere, Savage’s former quarterback Kadin Semonza led Ball State to a second straight Big 12 championship in a 55-20 blowout of TCU. His own Heisman contender, Juan Franco, accounted for seven total touchdowns—possibly doing just enough to make the award race interesting against Fotu’s five-touchdown performance.

Despite the lopsided loss, Georgia is expected to make a second consecutive appearance in the College Football Playoff. All eyes now turn to the selection committee to see who the Bulldogs will face in the opening round as they look to regroup and redeem themselves on the biggest stage.
